Whenever I put a disc in it makes this noise and it gives me a little anxiety because I do not know if this is normal. I just got this console yesterday and it runs well but I worry about this noise. The games I put have ran well but I just put the Saints Row 1 disc now and the game ran fine, it's just that it looked a little "glitchy." As in the cutscenes and some gameplay showed a little glitch effect. This is where I got real worried. Does it have to do with anything or am I stressing?

The thing is that I previously bought an Xbox 360 from my cousin that she got from the FB Marketplace originally and when I started playing it it gave me the red light. I was so excited to play it but then the console she gave me just suddenly stopped working. But I should've known since the fans were loud. In that console I loaded up Bully and it had that glitch-like stuttery effect too. On this console that I have now so far it runs fine without that problem, but now that I'm seeing this glitch effect on Saints Row, I just got a little anxiety :/

I'm so grateful to finally have an Xbox 360 since I never owned one and I'm so excited to keep playing it but I gotta know if I should be concerned about this disc noise. It only happens when I put a disc in and load the game. Once I exit it stops. I get that the disc is spinning but is it supposed to be like this?

Not sure if this helps but the Xbox did come with a hard drive and that's where I've been saving my games to (and the hard drive actually has some games that the previous owner didn't remove as well). Any suggestions on anything? Anything to keep in mind?

Edit: Screen tearing! That's the word! And if it helps, my TV is a 4K Vizio

I could literally sign in not even 2 days ago but now I can’t get my 360 to communicate with Xbox live. I deleted my profile to re download it to make my gamer score update because it was stuck. So now there’s no profile on this 360 and yet it can’t connect to Xbox live. I’m assuming this is some type of server issue because my internets working fine for all my other devices 🫤
I did try the manual port method and clearing the cache. Not sure what to do now but maybe try again next week.

I have acquired my cousins old Xbox 360 after it sat in my grandparents house for over a decade. I don’t want to throw it out, but in the state it’s in now it’s trash. Besides its abhorrent condition, when I took it to the shop they only found one problem: the disk reader (now fixed) would come out, but no longer reads disks. I was recommended to mod it, but I don’t know how to do that, where to start, or even where to look. So, what do you think can be done to this, or what should be done? Also where to look to learn about modding. If I need to give more information I might be able to because I have all of the original papers that it came with.

More about this Xbox- I don’t know how the Xbox broke, but I do remember when my cousin broke it. What probably happened is he threw the Xbox on the ground, or he slammed it against a box tv. The plastic on the outside is cracked, and there’s something rolling around in the inside (probably plastic since some fell out earlier). The guy at GameStop said it was “in the worst condition” he has ever seen one, but works for the most part. I don’t have controllers (yet), so I can’t see anything about it when hooking it in to my TV besides it works, and I only know it does not read games for sure is because I got the disk drive realigned and it assessed. The power box is in pretty much perfect shape because he didn’t have it long before he broke it.

My Xbox 360 suddenly stopped connecting to Xbox Live and keeps giving me error code 8015190E

Important details:
The console DOES connect to Wi-Fi and the internet successfully
It gets an IP address normally
Xbox Live specifically fails
Error status report shows:
8015-190E
8007-0435

Things I already tried:
Restarted Xbox multiple times
Unplugged router/modem for several minutes
Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
Deleted and re-added network connection
Deleted Xbox profile
Tested connection multiple times
Using wireless connection

The Xbox connects to the internet but says it “can’t contact Xbox Live.”

Has anyone found an actual fix for this recently in 2026? Is this a Microsoft/Xbox Live issue or something router/account related?

Okay so I spent 30 hours trying to fix this stupid error, no matter what I do it won't download the profile from a new account. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there even a fix for it?

I tried:
Making the account from Xbox One halfway through trick (dosent work)
Making the account on Microsoft then login in to 360 (dosent work)
Enabling 2FA and generating an App Password (dosent work)
Disabling 2FA (dosent work)
Login in to an Xbox One and trying to download the profile through a backwards compatible game (dosent work)
Cleared the cache (obviously doesnt work)
Login in through the Avatar Originals App, changing the 360 avatar then trying to log in (dosent work)
Turn on/off recurring billing (I don't even have a subscription)
Trying to connect through hostpot on Xbox One and cable on the 360 (dosent work)
Tried to change the password and only use a short no special characters password (dosent work)
Tried to make an offline account on Xbox360 then link it to a fresh Microsoft email (dosent work)
Keep spamming/trying to log in 25+ times (dosent work)
Power cycling the Xbox 25+ times + factory reset (dosent work)
Adding the xbox360 as a registered device for my account (dosent work)
Make a fresh Microsoft email from a Windows Phone and try that (doesn't work)

And other things, literally everything imaginable and no matter what it just doesn't want to work. I tried 20 different new email accounts from Microsoft made in 20 different environments.

As last resort I just ended up contacting Microsoft, I told the Chat Bot that I have a billing issues (that's the only way to connect you with a human) then I told the guy everything, he said the issue is well known and I need to try the App Password and Clearing Cache which I did again and it didn't work so he eventually said it will escalate to a specialist and asked for my email address to contact me later (obviously they'll never do that).

Now, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THIS? I DIDN'T SLEPT FOR 2 DAYS TRYING TO FIX THIS, ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Hello everyone! So, i’ve had this problem with my Xbox 360 Slim, which i turned it on just a month or two before all this happened, i turned it on, looked at the menu for some time, turned it off, i don’t know how many days later, tried turning it on: nothing. Purely nothing, and my sister is coming this year, she would really love to play on the Xbox 360, as this was her console (mainly) and i want to get it fixed before she comes so she doesn’t have to go through all that worrying about what’s wrong, what’s broken or something! So, anyone out there that could tell me what’s wrong with it?

It had been for so long and Xbox keeps saying open tray expect for the update disc, all games used to work 5-6 years ago and now it says open tray when I insert the disc inside.
I tired banging top of it, restarting it, bought a disc cleaner and still doesn’t work. Is there any other easy way to fix it.

Hey guys, I'm trying to find a good replacement for my Jasper Elite's PSU from Japan because my cousin accidentally plugged it into a 220v outlet and killed it.

So far I found two listings on fb marketplace for phat PSUs and I need y'all expertise to help me identify which ones are probably fake. Is it possible to identify them by these stickers?
