Will installing OpenXenium chip hurt if Xbox is TSOP flashed?
I have my childhood Xbox that I had a guy on Craigslist mod 20-some odd years ago to play Emulators, then it sat unused for a very long time. I've been playing around more with modding lately, but it seems the EVOX2 bios I'm currently using is actually limiting what I can do with it.
Opening it up repeatedly, I've already removed the clock cap and installed a bigger internal drive using the hot swap method and Chimp before later discovering and playing around with FATXplorer. I don't see a modchip installed, so I can only assume the guy I took it to all those years ago did a TSOP Flash.
In order to get better usability from it (more partitions so more games can be installed at once), I ordered an OpenXenium chip with XboxHD+ from AliExpress. I plan on replacing all the MOBO caps as well while I have it open since some of them seem to be bulging a bit despite working perfectly (for now).
My question is: will installing the OpenXenium chip work with the TSOP flashed? Are there any known things I should look out for before attempting this, or will the modchip override any potential problems?
Additionally, what bios do you recommend for LBA48 support so I can cut my 2tb drive into 3 or 4 partitions for games?
I've been researching and playing around with this Xbox for over a month now and the info for this scene is very spread out and disjointed, so please be kind. Seems like a lot of good resources previously available are now defunct.
