Man I'm to get xiomi 17 in this week so can anyone give a proper review of its cons and is it fixed now. I heard about it's heating issue but the hardware it provides with this price is just too good to skip. So I play wuwa 1/2 hour daily and mlbb so is it just really hot during gaming thug yhe fos just drops like shit or manageable. How is the battery life and is hyper is just ghat bad compared to color os or just fake claim.

I am ardent android user but I dabbled with iphone 15 for the past 3 years as my daily driver with Poco X3 Pro as a backup. The backup died few weeks ago and I decided to switch to Android for good.

This phone will be daily driver and I also plan on using it to shoot product quality videos and emulate some PC games using Gamehub.

I was so sure on going with S25 Ultra until Amazon India revealed the deal price for Xiaomi 17. The deal seems too good to pass on - it has a newer chip, better battery and storage compared to the S25 Ultra and the size isn't a factor for me as since I come from a base iphone 15 which is similar size.

My concerns with Mi 17 are the heat, throttle issue and the HyperOS. I have been using Samsung A56 for 3 months as my temporary device (which I have to return to it's owner) and OneUI is so refined and definitely miles better than HyperOS. I had flashed Pixel OS in Poco X3 Pro I had and I can go the same route with Mi 17 as well but It would be atleast 2 years before the Custom Roms get stabilised for this mobile.

So if anyone who owns a Xiaomi 17 and used it for gaming or emulating - how is the throttle issue and how is battery holding up with heat trying to sabotage it from within?

TLDR: I was going to go with S25 Ultra until Amazon Sale revealed the price for Xiaomi 17, now stuck in a dilemma on whether the S25U worth the extra 25k rupees spent with the Older Chip and Lesser Storage compared to the cheaper Mi 17 despite it's heating, throttling and Software issue
