Anyone know how to pry open a Xiaomi Focus Pen?

So I have the Xiaomi focus pen for almost over 2 years now (Xiaomi 6s Pad Pro 12.4), and I want to fix it by hand since i cant replace since it has no warranty.

The pen is already dying as soon as you take it out, so Im guessing its a battery problem. It would write good lines for 10 seconds, then the lines would be thin like there are no pressure sensitivity until it completely dies. But tablet says that it still has battery like 60 percent plus when charged again(I dunno if thats faulty PCB or firmware).

The problem is I dont know how to open it, there are no manuals or youtube videos, and I kept searching for it. I don't wanna "too much" risk it since its my only pen and I dont wanna buy a new one since that costs around almost 60 usd or PHP 3500. So I would rather fix it on my own and buy alternative parts.

I dunno if I should Sacrifice my pen for the sake of learning it for general knowledge and share it with others. So if anyone knows what can I do, Please give me some insights.

HELP! My batt health dropped to 99

Hi, I've been doing the 20%- 80% method. I use it mainly for school but I also play roblox in it. Sometimes it drops to 14% before I charge it but not all the time. Last time I check at 100 cycles, my batt health was still 100%. What could have happened? And is this bad? What can I do to prevent it from dropping even more? Or to maintain it this way? I'm really worried.

I might be over acting but I'm really worried. I love my tab so much it's like my partner in class 🥹🥹

[Question] HyperOS 4 for tabs ?

I've just heard about Hyper OS 4 updates and I'm flabbergasted , because the hyperOS 3 came not too long ago , and a lot of people were saying not a major upgrade and stuff .

I was planning on buying xiaomi pad 8, the OS complaints were the only thing stopping me , but now with this announcement I have hope 😆 , because I really want the device , the price to performance is crazy in hardware .

I was wondering if the hyperOS 4.0 could release on xiaomi pad 8 , or will there be architecture issues and I'll have to wait for maybe pad 9 ?(Any leaks about pad 9?) ✨

My detailed experience using the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra that I bought from tradingshenzen

Bought the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra for around €754 all-in, including shipping.

No extra VAT, customs, or import fees, TradingShenzhen’s Global Priority shipping handles that.

Delivery from China to the EU took about 2 weeks. It came with a 120W charger, USB-A to USB-C cable, and EU travel adapter.

Hardware The hardware is genuinely the main reason to buy this. The 14-inch OLED/AMOLED display, 3.2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR support are insane for the price. At 5.1mm thick and around 609g, it is absurdly thin and light for its size.

The 8 Dolby Atmos speakers are legitimately loud and clear, at full volume it almost feels like a speaker that happens to have a screen.

Battery life has been excellent. I got around 12 hours of screen-on time across two days and still had about 40% left. Standby drain is also minimal.

The Xring O1 3nm chip with 12GB RAM feels overkill for my use case, but smooth is smooth.

Software / CN ROM Google Services, Play Store, and Play Store certification all work on my unit. It also passes Play Integrity on my units.

Banking apps will most likely work fine, but I have not tested every single one directly on the tablet, so take that as personal experience rather than a guarantee.

Gemini and Circle to Search work, but they can occasionally stop working after clearing RAM/background apps. OTA updates also work.

You can remove about 99% of the Chinese bloatware. Setup took around 30 minutes before it felt clean and usable. Some search-related UI areas are still in Chinese.

Notifications need manual configuration: enable autostart, remove battery restrictions, and lock important apps in recents.

Important limitations Streaming DRM/Widevine: Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and similar apps likely will not play in Full HD or UHD. I mainly use Jellyfin for local media, which gives full control over resolution, HDR, bitrate, and audio and with 8 speakers it is a great combo.

No proper GPS: Google Maps works for maps and search, but only shows approximate Wi-Fi/network location on my unit. I would not rely on it for navigation.

No Google Wallet payments: NFC exists, but it is mainly used for Xiaomi ecosystem features and data transfer, not payments.

Wi-Fi only: No cellular or SIM slot. Hotspot from any phone works fine; Xiaomi phones can use Interconnectivity Center for a more seamless experience.

Extras Works as a secondary touchscreen monitor on Windows 11 via SuperDisplay max resolution, 120Hz, no issues. Xiaomi’s built-in screen casting also works. I added a cheap AliExpress case for around $10 and a Nillkin screen protector, the same brand I used on my Xiaomi 17 Pro. Solid quality so far.

I have not tested the official keyboard or stylus yet, so no comment there.

For media, Reddit, browsing, Jellyfin, email, remote desktop, and secondary monitor use, it is excellent.

It is not a full laptop replacement for everyone, but for €754, the hardware is hard to beat. If you know what you are getting into with a CN ROM device, this is a seriously impressive tablet.

If you have any questions, please ask them!
