This happened to me when I took the delivery of the bike , self start stopped working
You can see there is just a red bar when I try to start the bike

The bike feels very under absorbing ykwim? I can feel small bumps pretty hard, not as hard as the commuter i drove before. But a lotta people highlighted that it can "glide" over bumps, which i feel it isn't.

Most likely it's cause of the preload? Cause the manufacturer sets the preload for the average rider who's like 75- 90?

Should i tweak it?

Just finished doing a tubeless conversion on my Hero XPulse 210 using the tube flap/split tube method.

Setup:

New Maxxis Maxxplore tyres (tubeless compatible)

Used an Avenger rear tube as the flap liner

Initial impressions:

Bead seated properly

Holding pressure well so far

No visible leaks after soap water test

Will monitor over the next few rides for:

So, I booked a Hero Xpulse 210 on 4th April from A.K.T. Automobiles in Port Blair. The catch? It’s a non-Premia dealership, which means they don’t normally stock the Xpulse 210 locally.

Getting access to this motorcycle itself felt like a side quest. I had to email and aggressively follow up with multiple Hero MotoCorp officials just to get proper allocation attention. Since the motorcycle has to come from mainland India through maritime shipment, the entire process depends on allocation priority, logistics scheduling, and whether the universe decides to cooperate that day.

There’s a decent chance this might end up being one of the first and only Xpulse 210s in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands because of the current scarcity, allocation limitations, and the sheer level of stubbornness I invested into getting this machine.

Most people would probably find this process exhausting.

I genuinely enjoyed it 💀

At first, I assumed the process would take maybe 20-25 days.

That assumption aged horribly.

S1 E2 — “The Delays Begin”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A few weeks later, Hero announced a temporary production halt from April 17-19. After that came allocation delays, uncertain dispatch timelines, and inconsistent updates from different communication channels.

And since this is the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, logistics already move slower compared to mainland India, so every delay feels amplified.

To be fair, the dealership staff were never rude or negligent. They were cooperative whenever I contacted them. The real issue appeared to be allocation and dispatch from Hero’s side rather than anything happening at the dealership level.

At first, I was told “Expected this week.” Then after another week “Possibly this month.” And finally “The Xpulse 200 4V can be dispatched sooner if you’d like to switch 💀”

That’s when I realized this wasn’t a simple inventory delay anymore. It had evolved into a full-blown supply-chain and allocation issue.

S1 E3 — “Escalation Arc”

Oddly enough, I wasn’t even frustrated.

I’m apparently blessed with a superpower called patience 😂

And honestly, I knew what I was signing up for. This wasn’t entirely anyone’s fault.

But after waiting 38 days without shipment initiation, I finally escalated the matter directly through email to Hero MotoCorp, including multiple senior authorities.

Yes… probably more people than realistically necessary 💀

I explained the situation clearly without blaming the dealership because they themselves looked stuck in the middle of the process.

Surprisingly, Hero Customer Care responded quickly and escalated the issue to the Territory Sales Manager and Zonal Manager. Shortly afterward, I received a direct call from the TSM.

And honestly, that conversation changed my perception of the entire situation.

S1 E4 — “Special Case Status Unlocked”

Instead of scripted corporate responses, the TSM acknowledged the delay transparently and explained that there were ongoing supply-chain disruptions, allocation limitations, and manufacturing slowdowns affecting dispatches due to the current situation.

Despite all that, he assured me they would prioritize my case and try to arrange one of their existing stock units for dispatch within the same week because of the unusually long delay.

So my booking basically evolved from waiting in allocation limbo to special-case escalation.

Now I’m waiting for the official dispatch confirmation.

Honestly, buying a motorcycle in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands feels less like purchasing a vehicle and more like coordinating an international cargo operation.

People on mainland India complain about 10-day waiting periods while I’m here discussing maritime transit schedules with Hero management 😭

Still, I genuinely believe the wait will be worth it. The Xpulse 210 feels almost purpose-built for the terrain and road conditions here.

S1 E6 — “But Why Xpulse?”

Now I already know some people are going to ask:

“Why buy a motorcycle that’s known for problems?”

Here’s the thing:

I genuinely love this motorcycle. I work on my own machines...BS4, BS6, even motorcycles from before the entire BS transition era. I understand maintenance, diagnostics, and service procedures well enough to follow factory service manuals properly.

And yes… I somehow managed to get access to those manuals too.

Let’s just say sourcing them deserves an entirely separate season that would probably be illegal for public distribution 💀

S1 E7 — “The Internet Expert Pandemic”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

What many people fail to understand is that online motorcycle reliability discussions are often heavily distorted.

Mechanical problems are rarely brand-exclusive; they’re usually usage-exclusive.

Some owners genuinely maintain and enjoy their motorcycles, while others abuse them relentlessly and later present the consequences as universal manufacturing failures.

Internet discourse rewards negativity. Ragebait spreads faster than balanced ownership experiences, and over time exaggerated narratives begin overshadowing the experiences of thousands of satisfied owners.

And the funniest part?

Many self-proclaimed “experts” criticizing these motorcycles either:

- ride poorly,

- neglect maintenance,

- or have never even owned the motorcycle they confidently criticize.

And this applies to every manufacturer:

Royal Enfield, Honda, Suzuki, TVS, Hero...none of them are immune to criticism, and none of them produce flawless machines.

At the end of the day, I knew exactly what I was buying. Delays, allocation problem, internet fearmongering, nothing can stop me from getting this motorcycle. Not even the brand itself.

You know why?

I spent nearly two years procrastinating before finally deciding to commit to this motorcycle.

Then I worked for months to save more than double the amount I actually needed because someone once gave me a piece of financial advice that stayed with me:

“If you can’t buy it twice, you can’t afford it.”

So after all the waiting, uncertainty, emails, logistics drama, production delays, and maritime shipping chaos…

I’m still getting the damn Xpulse 210.

Vehicle doesnt start sometimes I dont know the reason. Its a less than 6months old bike. Help me.

It works perfectly fine but sometimes when I start even in neutral it doesnt start. It takes around 20min and engine to cool down to start again.

Hi Guys I am 23M looking for my first bike. I am from Ajmer and currently living in Jaipur , Rajasthan. I currently ride TVS raider 125 (Gifted from Father in 2024) and have clocked 11,000 kms. The longest ride I have done on it was 150 kms from Ajmer to Jaipur and I want to own my first hard earned money bike which is Xpulse 210.

My current body weight 106 kgs height 6'1".

Reason for choosing this bike is now obvious because raider is way short and I do these Ajmer jaipur rides frequently and this cause severe lower back pain because it's short. Also I am a huge fan of off-roading and long rides which I need.

Prerequisites that I have - I earn 46K/month no responsibility on me for my family.

So important questions I want to ask :

1. Based on the city is the service centre good ?

2. How good is the bike if I buy alpine silver variant ?

3. Planning to buy online via Flipkart during Diwali this year.

4. What selling price I can ask for TVS raider 125. Condition is really good , no accident fully insured and no challan as well ? I am asking atleast 70-80k price need your help in this.

5. Downpayment = raider sell price and rest is loan so which bank should I opt ( I have 2 accounts one is savings which is SBI and other is salary which is ICICI) . So what is the exact way I can do please help?

6. Considering uncertainty and emergency in life and thinking in a practical way is it financially good decision or should I wait ?

Do we know someone doing tubeless conversion for xpulse in Pune?

I was thinking yo sell my bike. Because wanted to update with Vstrom. Ran almost 17000 without any single problem. Then one day guy called to buy. He had same Xpulse two years ago, he sold unnecessary. He said now he is missing that Xpulse suspension and the riding experience. Specially very low cost maintenance also.

After this conversation I started seriously looking at my bike. And I know after 50,000 km I will change or buy the new one but why now. Now I am not selling till I will get juice out of it.

I've had this issue with my bike for a couple of months now. Where sometimes the display doesn't turn on when the bike is started and sometimes it randomly reboots in the middle of a ride.

It has been pretty inconsistent tho untill a few days ago.

It has started really acting UP.

Planning to take it to the service centre tomorrow, let's see what happens 🤞

If anyone of you have experienced this issue before, please do let me know the cause.
