Align any 3D SBS Video [ScreenLab XR] #FeedTheBeast

Hi everyone,

Have you ever encountered your Side-By-Side video misaligned or stretched?

My app ScreenLab XR can move each Side freely to align them using Stack1 or Stack2.

^ This is how I watch any SBS video even they do not fit properly. Thanks to u/No-Marsupial-9963 for suggesting me to try FeedTheBeast today. I use XR glasses for VR360 video as well.

What else would you use ScreenLab XR for? Please let me know your thoughts/feedbacks~❤️

Bought Xreal One Pro

I bought it yesterday, I really like them in ultrawide mode with Dex or PC. Now I'm experimenting to see what I can do more with them. My questions:

  1. Is there a good app for Android, or is Dex best for this?

  2. I installed Vertoxr and Realwrap on Windows and am waiting for Nebula. I'm going to try them all, but what do you guys recommend? Are there other programs to try as well? I would like 3 monitors.

  3. Main question: Will XREAL EYE really give me the feel of a real monitor, where I can move closer to the screen and it will mostly work?

  4. Something more to add?

Xreal r1 2d to 3d

Has anyone been able to do a review on the 2d to 3d conversion with these glasses? Would it be able to run pc and switch 2 games well with it? Typically for pc I have used depth 3d and reshade, how would this compare to that? Is there a frame rate cap? Thanks for anyone responding.

My gaming setup with XReal

I use my Xreal One Pro’s to game nearly every day. I have 2 different setups, a desk setup, and my usual couch setup. Here are some pictures and the hardware.

Hardware:

  1. Steam Deck (LCD) You only need the LCD when you have XReal glasses :D
  2. Azeron Cyborg 2 - This is only used when I’m playing World of Warcraft
  3. Royal Kludge RK-F68 - This is a folding 68% mechanical keyboard. The cool thing, is that it folds horizontally instead of vertically. So you can actually use it on your lap.
  4. Logitech MX Master 3
  5. Jsaux RGB Steam Deck Dock (because everyone needs some RGB in their life)
  6. Most importantly, my XReal One Pro (Medium) with a the XReal Eye

Software:
I use Apollo & Moonlight to play nearly everything on my Steam Deck. This is both locally and on the go as well. I have a dedicated gaming PC setup in a server rack with a dedicated 10Gig network card connected to a Unifi switch. This PC is also my Plex server, so it needs a nice fast ethernet connection as my kids are always streaming media from it and it’s recording OTA tv shows as well.

Most of the time while I’m playing anything except World of Warcraft I’m usually just sitting on the couch with my Steam Deck in hand and my glasses on. My wife has finally gotten used to seeing me look all weird while gaming. The upside, is that she can watch whatever she wants on the TV and I can just ignore it.

Feel free to ask any questions about any of the hardware.

Strange issue with Reddit

Everything works with my 1s on my iPad but Reddit displays a window I cannot control on the glasses, it’s like it’s another screen. I cannot find any settings that may have caused this issue and I have no idea what to even search to try to solve it.

It used to work as expected, scroll Reddit, it scrolls in the glasses. No clue how we got here.

I know this was probably super vague, but not sure what else to add. I’ll try to answer any questions.

To be clear, I’m pretty sure it’s the iPad, but not sure where to look to fix it.

First day working outside with my Xreal 1S, it worked just fine

I bought the Xreal S1 two days ago, and today I took them outside for the first time. And honestly, it worked better than I expected.

I sat on a park bench in the shade with my dog for about 45 minutes, wearing a hat to cut down on reflections a bit. There are definitely still reflections, and the resolution is not amazing, but for my use case it was perfectly workable.

I could see myself getting used to this.

The hat helped in two ways: it added some extra shade, and it made the glasses feel a bit more discreet. With the hat on, they did not look quite as huge. I even asked a woman walking by if the glasses looked too outlandish, and she said they did not.

So, first outdoor test: not perfect, but surprisingly usable.

Has anyone tried the Oakley nosepads mod on Xreal 1S?

I've seen a bunch of posts about swapping Oakley nosepads onto the One Pro for better grip and comfort, so I bought the ones I saw people used the most. Sadly I couldn't get them to fit on the Xreal 1S.
Has anyone else tried some version of the Oakley nosepads on the 1s that actually works and yields an improvement?

The ones I bought and tried. The nosepad connector/attachment was too big to fit into the hole on the Oakley.

Beam Pro vs INAIR Pod

I plan to get a separate device to use with my Xreal One Pros. Mostly as a separate media hub where i can store media and streaming apps. Its hard to use the glasses with my Iphone and I hate doing that little side squint to peek at my screen when trying to select something. Which would be good for my use case?

Any chance One Pro owners get partial Aura / Android XR compatibility?

Been using the XREAL One Pro for a while now and honestly the X1 spatial pipeline + 3DoF stability is already insanely good for a consumer XR setup.

After seeing Project Aura and the Android XR announcements, I’m wondering how much of that ecosystem could realistically trickle down to existing One Pro hardware.

I know Aura is using:

- Android XR

- X1S

- dedicated compute puck

- more sensors / tracking hardware

…so obviously full functionality probably isn’t possible.

But I’m curious whether XREAL might support things like:

- partial Android XR compatibility

- upgraded Beam-style features

- enhanced spatial UI

- AI-assisted workflows

- virtual multi-window environments

- improved app support

- future puck compatibility

- firmware-level spatial improvements

The One Pro already feels way ahead of most XR glasses, so it would be awesome if current owners weren’t completely siloed from the next-gen ecosystem.

Even limited compatibility would make the platform feel very future-proof.

Curious what everyone thinks technically — especially around whether the X1 hardware could support more than what it’s currently doing.

Xreal’s Project Aura review

>There have been a handful of hardware updates since I last tried out Project Aura in October. The glasses, made in collaboration with Xreal, now feature a carrying case and a new design for their compute puck. Google was mum on the chip inside, aside from the fact that it’s more powerful than the previous puck. The puck also has a fingerprint scanner, so you can unlock the device more easily. And in addition to a waist clip, there’s now a lanyard so you can wear the puck around your neck, in case you’d like to channel peak Gadget Dad vibes.

>You won’t look cool in these glasses, but the target audience for Project Aura isn’t the average Joe in the same way that Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses are. They’re a starting point for XR diehards who want a more portable and discreet version of a headset. Case in point: navigating Aura’s interface is nearly identical to the Galaxy XR’s.

>Last time I took Project Aura for a whirl, I mostly tried playing a tabletop game in a mixed-reality space, viewing multiple app windows in your space, and wirelessly mirroring a laptop display a la the Samsung Galaxy XR and Apple Vision Pro. This time around, I got to see a few vibecoded, spatial computing experiences. One let me make 3D AR doodles. Another would bring up the molecular structure of any real-world object I “pinched.” Neither was particularly unique, but the point is that you no longer need a full-on headset to experience or test vibecoded spatial apps. Mirroring a display was as easy as plugging the glasses into the laptop with a USB-C cable. At this, my eyes widened. Instead of needing to buy a second monitor, you can carry one around in your pocket. You don’t have to rely on spotty Wi-Fi either. I’m never going to be one of those people who schlepps a headset onto a plane or to the office, but this? This I would do.

>A slightly more gimmicky — but still cool — feature is the adaptive transparency mode. The opacity of Project Aura’s lenses can be tweaked lighter or darker with a press of a button. The neat thing is the glasses can tell if you’re looking at content versus trying to interact with people. So say you crank up the opacity for a more immersive working environment, but then your spouse asks you a question. When you look at said spouse, the glasses will automatically revert so you can see them clearly. When you look back at your second digital screen, you’re back to full opacity.

Get Ready to Develop for Project Aura: XREAL’s new wired XR glasses, powered by Android XR (Android XR Developer Catalyst Program now open!)

Today at Google I/O, XREAL and Google showcased live demonstrations of Project Aura, developed in partnership with r/AndroidXR.

We are incredibly excited about what this means for the future of spatial computing. The goal is to build experiences that live inside the real world, rather than pulling you out of it.

Here is what Project Aura brings to the table:

  • Massive Visuals: A 70° field of view in a lightweight form factor.
  • Natural Inputs: Hands and voice are built as first-class inputs.
  • Contextual AI: It is built for Gemini, to better understand what you’re seeing and doing, making it easier to get the help you need or take action on your behalf across your apps — with just a conversation.
  • Seamless Android Integration: Your favorite apps from Google Play run seamlessly on Aura. You can access Google apps that have been reimagined for XR, totally new experiences made for Android XR by developers, and millions of mobile and tablet apps.
  • Spatial Computing: Run spatial multi-window apps anchored naturally to your physical space.

We need builders for the next era of Android. The Android XR SDK is ready, and the platform is open, but the apps that will define this ecosystem haven't been written yet.

If you're a developer, we invite you to build the future with us! We are officially opening the Android XR Developer Catalyst Program. Apply for a chance to get your Project Aura dev kit, gain full access to the Android XR SDK, and help us shape the platform that powers experiences that dissolve the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds.

Whether you’re an XR enthusiast waiting to see what’s next, or a developer ready to start building with us today, you can learn more and register here.

Let us know what you think!

Drop any questions you have about Project Aura or the dev program in the comments, and feel free to join the discussion in r/XREAL and r/AndroidXR.

Best Glasses For Productivity (1080p+)

Hi! I'm looking for the best pair of XR glasses ideally something like the Xreal One Pros for productivity. I have the Ones today but something about the FOV and the 1080p screen doesn't make me feel as productive as say using a 32 inch 4k monitor.

Does anyone have experience with any of the Vitures or other glasses that they swear by for productivity?

Even considering upgrading to the one s for the 16:10 aspect ratio and increased resolution.

Or am I best of just getting a VR headset?
