If the Aura pre-orders underperform, will XREAL introduce the XREAL 2 Pro and 2S models to capture the $500–$1,000 market segment prior/after to the Aura's September 2026 shipping date?
Based on what I could find on the internet:
xbx a01+ (budget/fun sub-brand)
• $299, 62g (ultra-light), 1600 nits peak, 50° FOV
• Micro-OLED, HDR10, 120Hz, detachable frames for style
• AI head tracking + stabilization (no dedicated chip)
• Pure display glasses for portable movies/gaming/entertainment
All rumours since the official product hasn’t launched
Just wanted to share the issue I had with my XREAL One Pro. I've already returned them. I had the same issue with nreal glasses back in the days. I thought they might have fixed this issue by now.
When I was sitting still, they mostly worked, although they generated a lot of heat around the forehead area.
The main issue happened when I went for a walk or moved around with them. The display would start glitching, sometimes turn green, and then completely shut off. I could still hear the audio playing, but there was no image on the glasses.
It happened repeatedly while walking. Sitting still was generally fine apart from the heat.
Has anyone else had this exact issue with the One Pro? Especially the green screen/display shutting off when moving around?
Hello,
I have seen this topic here already but nobody has tried so far but as the R1 Glasses are out by now in Europe as well I guess the chances are there that someone has tried to use the S2 with R1 with just a powerbank and a S2-dock alternative adapter (which is connected to the powerbank. Without the asus Rog Dock of course. Anyone got that to work? Would probably be a dream for. commuting..
Tried with Apple native video player. Video freezes, audio continues. Same for VLC. Also won’t let me switch apps.
It only works when I reconnect while media is playing, and is a pain in the ass when I’m trying to watch multiple episodes of something at a time. Any solutions? Thanks
Hello everyone, thank you for reading my post,
my problem: Xreal One doesn't connect to Mac Mini M4, nor the iPhone 17 Pro. Only says "connected device does not support video".
Context: It has worked before, i bought the device on september 2025, worked great until May 2026, suddenly the problem arrises. It already has the latest firmware from the website. Works greatly on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ until now.
I also tried the nebula app, still unrecognized by my mac mini m4.
The developer mode on xreal glass solution also doesn't work.
The glasses also not shown on display options on my mac.
Thank you everyone, really hope i can continue to use Xreal One, really enjoyed it till May.
Ive read that the one pro emits heat from the lenses, and that was an issue for them...
What do those who have one pro, etc., day about how hot the glasses get/make your eyes feel?
Will Aura have more or less heat in the glasses?
I wear contacts, and if my room is too hot they can get dry or uncomfortable.
My current monitor setup gives really bad eyestrain from screen work. I wear reading glasses to somewhat alleviate this but I get headaches anyways. This problem is becoming chronic, I get headaches every day, and I haven't found any solution. I want to try AR glasses to see if they help.
I get the same problem from my phone and Steam Deck. I spend a lot of time reading text for work which doesn't help. I want whichever model can make text the sharpest for me and make my eyes do the least near-sight work.
Let me know what you all think and would suggest! Thanks so much
Is this out already? Has anyone gotten it and what were your thoughts?
VITURE Luma Pro vs XREAL 1S (and others)
Hey everyone,
Because of my postviral fatigue, I’m looking to buy a pair of XR glasses primarily for productivity/work (coding, managing documents, reading text) while lying flat on my back.
I’ve been deep-diving into reviews of the current lineup, but I’m having a hard time finding direct head-to-head comparisons for my specific use case, especially between the VITURE Luma Pro and the XREAL 1S.
From my research, I’ve gathered the following trade-offs, but I’d love some real-world feedback from anyone who has used these:
My setup & environment:
If you had to pick one exclusively for a supine productivity workflow, which one would you buy? Does XREAL's rock-solid hardware tracking beat VITURE's optical clarity for this, or vice versa?
Thanks in advance!
I have the Xreal One glasses and I mostly use these for gaming/ movies. Anyone out there have both the Xreal One and the One Pro? Is it worth upgrading?
Hello everyone
Update to my previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xreal/s/aacV6fUqxI
Here is a short demo of Half-Life: Alyx running through XR Gate on XREAL Ultra AR glasses, running on the AMD Radeon 890M iGPU in a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mini PC.
No external trackers are used. Tracking (6DoF + hand tracking) comes from the glasses cameras. For input/buttons, I use inexpensive Bluetooth VR controllers that are mapped to/emulate SteamVR left and right controllers.
You can try it on Linux:

I thought I'd give the dock a try and it seems that once the glasses are plugged in, the buttons on the glasses no longer function? The only way to change settings is via the dock. Is this correct?
Also, with the glasses plugged in and anchor view selected, there seems to be no way to re-centre the anchor view. Unteathered I'd just hold down a button for two seconds. There seems to be no equivalent option on the dock?
I know before buying the rog version that the HDR support is somewhat “upscale” and not true HDR. Still, when connected to pc/ps5 the crushed blacks in darker scenes is so bad that it makes the game looks a decade old. Is there a fix for crushed blacks right now?
I'm really excited for the Aura, or actually future iterations because as of now I can't get over these 2 things.
1st thing is what you can see on the picture. Can you see it? The hands will always be behind the screen virtual screen. That mean no matter where you point or whatnot you'll be navigating with the virtual outline of the "ghost hands"
Might not seem like a big deal to some, it feel downright normal in VR but here where you already have passthrough to the rela world I believe this will seriously break immersion. what we all want it that scene in Iron mang flinging and zooming 3D elements /screens all over the place.
My 2nd gripe is the transparency of the glasses.
I have yet to try the Aura but if the XOP is anything to go by the transparency is far too dim. It's not too bad in good lighting, but in a dimly lit room you just can't see enough of your enviroment. In the future I hope they're able to. According to reviews it's going to be like looking through a pair of sunglasses.
This second gripe might not be too much of a big deal.
(Also I'm hoping the brightness will be high enough to use in direct sunlight)
Edit: Let me explain I don't mind the "ghost hands", not really. I mind not having my real hands in front of the screen, even I put the screens 2m away from me and wave my hands in front of me ins perfect world the screen would cut out picture where my hands happens to be so it looks as if my hands are in front of the screen.
So I've been having pretty consistent issues with the stock cable that came with my One Pro repeatedly disconnecting from my Samsung device. This doesnt appear to be an issue with any of my other devices, only Samsung.
I thought it was my device, but checking several samsung devices, and after doing some digging online, community posts, and also with some help of AI, it seems there's a known issue with the stock xreal cable, and how some of the newer Samsung (primarily Ultra) devices translate the information.
All that said, I'm curious what other Samsung users' (S23 Ultra and above) experiences have been.
Does stock xreal cable work for you?
Have you found any cables that tend to work better with your S Ultra phone?
First of all, please don't get me wrong. This device does a lot of things really well. Watching movies, streaming videos, and other entertainment experiences are excellent.
However, this review is focused specifically on productivity and office use, because that's the main reason I bought these glasses.
My daily work mainly involves using AutoCAD for drafting and design. My goal was to have a large virtual monitor that I could comfortably work on every day, ideally a 32:9 ultrawide display.
Before buying these glasses, I tried another brand. Although that product didn't support 3DoF, which made the overall experience much less comfortable, I have to admit that its display quality was excellent. The image was extremely sharp and clear. Of course, I understand that adding 3DoF involves technical trade-offs, so I don't expect the image quality to be exactly the same.
Now I'd like to talk about the two biggest issues that ultimately made me decide to return these glasses.
1. The mura/moiré effect and color inconsistency are quite noticeable.
This is especially obvious when I'm working in Excel. On the same row of black text, different parts of the text can appear in different colors. For example, the first half of a word may appear black, while the second half looks slightly yellow, or there may be a yellow halo around the letters. This makes reading spreadsheets much less comfortable than it should be.
2. The biggest issue for me is using AutoCAD.
When working in AutoCAD, some lines change to gray as I move or pan the drawing on the virtual screen. As shown in the image I uploaded, horizontal and vertical lines display differently depending on their position on the screen. The same line may appear in its correct color in one area but turn gray in another.
For CAD work, where accurate line colors and visibility are essential, this is a deal breaker. It makes it impossible for me to work efficiently with these glasses.
It's really unfortunate because I genuinely like almost everything else about this product. The features, the overall experience, and the concept are all great.
Unfortunately, these display issues make it impossible for me to use the glasses for the purpose I bought them for, so I have no choice but to return them.
I'm genuinely disappointed because I really wanted these glasses to become part of my daily workflow. I sincerely hope these issues can be improved in future versions. If they are, I would absolutely buy them again, because I truly believe this product has incredible potential.

Hi everyone,I am relocating to a new city and setting up my workstation from scratch. I am debating between buying a traditional dual 2K monitor setup or entirely replacing it with the XREAL 1S glasses.
My Daily Use Case:Software: VS Code, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and YouTube/movies.
Duration: 8+ hours of continuous daily use.
Environment: Strictly desk-bound (home or office). I do not care about cafe productivity or "on-the-go" travel use cases.
My Concerns & Constraints:
Text Clarity: Can the XREAL 1S provide the exact text sharpness, pixel density, and clarity required for heavy coding and reading as a physical dual 2K monitor setup?
Field of View (FoV): Will the 52-degree FoV bother me a lot or feel claustrophobic when multitasking? Does it mean I have to constantly turn my head just to see my side windows (like Teams or Outlook) compared to a dual-monitor setup? Because I have to do that even with monitors right ?
Comfort: Is it genuinely viable to wear XR glasses for 8+ hours a day as a primary display without eye strain or physical discomfort?
No Return Policy: I have never used XR or VR glasses before. I cannot try them beforehand, and I cannot return them in my country if I am disappointed.
Devices: 80% usage with macbook pro. 20% with my oneplus phone. Will I have to keep the phone turned on all the time when something is playing on the XR glasses ?
Is there an app that makes me create triple monitor setup on xr glasses instead of a single ultrawide one ?? Bcz I might have to share my screen during MS-teams meetings.
Does Xreal 1S come with a prescription lens frame inside the box ?
The idea of having a massive, portable virtual ultrawide screen for flexibility is highly tempting, but I want to be realistic. Is the technology mature enough to completely replace a dual-monitor desktop setup, or is it still too early for this to be a reliable primary daily driver?
Would love to hear from anyone using these for full-time development work!
