New Master Yi Setup: Jack of All Trades + Endless Hunger

So this is the setup the best Yi from BR, Gian, is using currentely using. It consists in abusing JoAT extreme efficency to get 10 stacks ASAP since only that minor rune gives you +1000 gold in value.

Not only that, but as we all know, Endless Hunger + DD is extremely busted right now, and Yi is no exception for it, it's not a secret that omnivamp synergizes extremely well with this character due to how much damage he does

his profile right now, at 82% win rate in challenger with Master Yi: https://www.deeplol.gg/summoner/br/saoksaopkaojsip-br1

Sometimes you win, sometimes…

Having so much fun with Yi lately and i’m really making him my main now. Just need to learn how to carry games where my teammates refuse to play around me when i’m obviously the strongest on the team. (Did a penta in both of these games). Also i need to learn how to play more aggressively early to get item spikes faster. At least i know to ignore pings if there’s nothing i can do to help and it really helps in the early game (i mute the chat since the game start, only use it to give my team directions that pings can’t say)

Hit Masters first time!

https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/5xx5-NA1

Been playing on and off since season 3 and my peak has always been diamond in season 9 but never took it seriously enough to get back into it. Recently hit diamond 4 in February for the first time in a few years, and now getting into masters after swapping mains from gwen to yi. Took 50+ games to finally click with him but well worth it. Went on a huge win streak over the course of a week and a half and pushed through. Anyway! Just wanted to share my achievement.

Help me fight my worse fear

I demoted a lot and a lot after a loose streak of death. So I decided to became a Yi OTP last 4 hours ago and I played 9 games of Yi with 100% WR.

But now, in every lobby, my worse fear is to have Master Yi banned, or worse, picked by the opposite team.

If I can't play Master Yi, 1v9 and carry my "would loose this game 10 time if Master Yi wasn't their jungler" teamate: Who do I pick?

How to win !?

Guys, i make it short. I habe quadrillion games on yi and im hardstuck plat/em. I mainly play him top with HoB and sometimes jgl. But lets focus on top for now. I get fed often, like very fed 10-2 or 8-0 and stuff, and then, time passes, we lose

So the question is:

How can i, as Yi, close the game with a lead? What macro tipps or game sense mechanics do u guys know that if its played correctly, its almost everytime a win.

After i win my lane (around 10th to 15th min) i start to roam bot and mid and sometimes earlier when my wave is crashing into the enemy turret, i have a high KP, but thats actually it.

Build question (jg)

Hi! I’m a hard stuck low plat jg main thinking about making Yi one of my mains. I have a question about builds and i post here instead of watching youtube because i can have a discussion and ask stupid questions.

Anyway, when do i go for On-hit, when for crit and when anything else? Rune-wise i understand it, but item builds are what i’m curious about. Especially after getting a penta with crit and thinking how OP it is

Who does Yi counter and why?

Looking to compile a comprehensive list of who Yi counters and why, my understanding is that most of the champs he counters have a key spell that can easily be dodged with Q (Briar E, Diana R) or easily absorbed with W. Or they don't have the burst to 1 shot him or enough CC to stunlock him in a teamfight

How to avoid the loser queue as a jungler?

Hello fellow Yi mains,

I need help on following problem:

My current account is in loser queue in EU West, currently 300 matches of solo ranked this year. My win rate is 43% despite me being superior jungler most of the games and a force to reckon with to enemy laners and jungler. Noteworthy is the fact that I mostly play muted chat on, I do not write anything stupid on chat. Im currently leveling up another account to start climbing up the ranks. I main jungle, doesn't matter what the enemy jungler does or doesn't do, enemy team usually wins. My season started good, went from Iron to bronze 1 so almost silver. Then I got placed into loser queue, the matchups have been extremely unfair ever since. I have been Iron 4-3 for the last 150 matches. I play like 4 champs, so keeping the sample small. For the rank, I would say Im very good player. I do good cs and during due time do my best effort to affect the game helping team mates and doing objectives.

An example of losing match from yesterday. My team is losing hard on lanes I do my absolute best to fix the lanes are possible to fix. I end up with 16 / 7 / 3 stats, kill participation 62%, cs 5.5. I had more kills than rest of my team combined. Reason for cs 6 is that enemy team completely dominated and forced our team to stay inside base on later part of match.

Half of time during my first full clear our 2 or 3 lanes are losing on race. Other times lanes doing ok, but come team fight time we lose due to various misplays. I don't see why matchmaking works how it does. Fact is that matchmaking does it part to make it impossible for some people to climb.

Theory is, Im jungle onetrick. Being jungler in Iron and Bronze rating is probably the role that gets the most amount of hate from other players. So I probably get reported ALOT, reason being that I am the jungler and didn't do the work of the laner in question. If I keep my chat on, there is bunch of laners saying that its the junglers fault that they die and in fact I was doing something on other side of the map. On Iron ranked games, players expect a jungler to be their bodyguard. Fact is in todays lol, junglers have to farm ALOT cs and have small windows for ganks. This is what laners in rank Iron dont understand. I do utilize my windows to gank and mainly gank winning or even lanes as a prio.

So, I need to make new account to dodge loser queue. How to avoid not being placed on losing side in matchmaking? Do I have to play support until gold, then switch back to jungler to not get rage reported and placed into loser queue?
