For a 2026 R7 my quotes are coming back at $200-215/mo for full coverage or $20/mo for collision only which is insanely high.

No accidents, 33 years old, licensed at 16.

I tried Geico, State Farm, Allstate.

I recently bought a 2026 R7, is there any known block off plates, stealth mirror, or anything of that sort that is 100% known to work? I bought some cheap amazon stealth mirrors but they did not line up.

I’ve had my 2025 r7 for about a year now and I’m thinking o about upgrading. I have about 11k miles (17.7k Km) on the bike and have done mostly commuting and some canyon runs on the weekends. My favorite thing about the R7 is how slim it is, which makes it incredibly easy to maneuver between cars while lane splitting since most of my time driving it is on the freeway. My question is, has anyone upgraded from the R7 to the R9 and felt it more difficult to lane split being a slightly wider bike?

I’d really like to upgrade for that bit of extra power on the highways.

Does anyone regret their upgrade and wish they chose a different bike in the class? I’m also considering the GSXR750.

I’m gonna be picking up a 2026 r7 later this month and really love the look of the vfdesigns530 integrated taillight. On the website it says it fits years 2020-2025. Is it possible it’s compatible with the 26? If not is there any other taillights like it? Thanks in advance

At 20 I can get the front end up just fine but 30-40+ it stays down, is there anything electronically I need to turn off first?

What do you recommend? TST Industries, Amazon? Links are much appreciated. Thanks!

Bought a 2024 r7 w 30 miles off of fb marketplace.

Owner stated that battery was kept on tender. Only electrical mod he did was install a tidy tail light/plate holder.

The short: engine starts on second crank when cold. If I start it, power it off and start again, it’ll start in under a second.

Battery voltages are as follows:

12.55-12.56 after sitting overnight (80% charge?).

14.2 with engine on. Charging system seems fine.

After 30 seconds of engine idle from 12.55 volts, it charged to 12.9V.

To add: when I first brought it home, I had the key set to ON when taking it down from the u-haul. Must’ve been 10-15mins max. No lights were on during this time.

After that, it needed jumper cables to start the first time. After letting it charge for 30 minutes, it has exhibited the behavior read above.

Should I take the battery out and have it correctly charged at the dealership or cycle gear? Or should I have a mechanic look for a parasitic drain?
