Millennials were around our age when we were born, and we have finally caught up to that age. Now seeing younger gen alpha/gen beta being born, once they catch up to our age we will be in our 30s, just like how Millennials currently are. Crazy how old we are getting now
To top it off, she insists Gen Alpha started in 2013. She’s out here making me feel unc
I remember when people used to say 2016 was a terrible year and in recent years they say it was the best? I mean to me 2016 wasn't that terrible because I was just 5 living my childhood but I'd say the best era was between 2017-2019. I also remember around December 2025/January 2026 when people kept saying "2026 is gonna be the new 2016".
2017 was honestly the most underrated time to be alive. Spring and summer were peak pop culture—fidget spinners took over the world, and the weather actually felt great compared to the blistering heat of 2016. On top of that, the movie lineup was incredible with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming. By fall, Fortnite dropped and instantly changed gaming culture forever, and we capped the whole year off with a new Star Wars film in December. Everyone hyped up 2016, but to me, it still felt stuck in the early 2010s. By 2017, tech and camera quality finally felt modern in case people wanted photo shoots.
Fun Fact: 2017 was the safest year in aviation history.
2018 was basically Fortnite. And 2019 was basically tiktok’s rise and trends also avengers endgame was great for its spring release 2017 just had everything perfect.
I hate when Millennials or Gen X call us "stunted" or talk about how terribly we were raised (and who did the raising I might ask?) or about how we can't read or write or we aren't being taught "the classics" or something dumb.
Like, hear me out: Has any generation actually turned out bad? Or have any statistics shown that ANY generation was worse than another?
Why can't they just shut up? Throughout history, people have always made a big deal out of the younger generation being dangerous/poorly taught/unready/etc., and has any of it proven helpful, or proven any kind of problem with that younger generation?
3/4 of Gen Z are adults now anyway. And when I am older, and Gen Alpha are becoming adults, I for one, won't be complaining about how terrible they are or how alphas our going to ruin the world. I think it's all baloney and it always has been.
EDIT: Thank you u/Wooden-Hornet2115 for the award!
For me I would probably say maybe this sub isn’t that bad but also not the best. for worst probably r/teenagers its good for making friends sometimes and memes but it can be inappropriate and not very kid friendly. Which Subreddit do you think is the best and the worst one for teens/kids.
for example im a 2010 kid and my parents are 70 and 72 I feel like there kinda older but also not that old compared to some but then I know some people my age who have parents who are a decade or almost two decades younger then mine. it feels like we don’t have much in common so they feel more like on the older side. what’s it like for you guys having older parents. For those confused I ment my parents were born in 1970 and 1972 not age 70 and 72.
Its currently 2033 and I just turned 13 y'all are so old lol
i feel like rather than older or younger, the same age brings more dynamic and it just excites me more than a dude older than me or younger, cause being the same age is just fun and idk im js delulu
