I think I was looking at ZBCN tokenomics the wrong way

Went pretty deep into Zebec’s tokenomics and there’s one question about ZBCN that completely changed how I looked at it.
I broke it down here

Zebec added cash pickup through MoneyGram, and now you can collect your salary as paper money at a counter. We decided to tell you more surprising things about $ZBCN:

1️⃣ It was built to kill payday
Zebec launched in 2021 on a simple premise: waiting two weeks for your own money is a leftover from the paper-check era. Salaries stream continuously instead, arriving by the second.

2️⃣ Alameda Research was an early backer, and Zebec outlived it
CoinGecko still lists Zebec in the Alameda Research portfolio, next to Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures and OKX Ventures. Zebec kept shipping even after FTX and Alameda collapsed and took a long list of projects from that same portfolio down with them.

3️⃣ It replaced its own token, then finished releasing it
In 2024 Zebec migrated from $ZBC to an entirely new contract at a 1:10 ratio. It was not a rebrand, but a completely new token with a new supply. That supply finished unlocking in March 2026: all 100 billion $ZBCN are in circulation, nothing new is coming, and the project buys tokens back with revenue from payroll and card fees instead.

4️⃣ It sits in the same room as JPMorgan
In December 2025 Zebec joined Nacha's Payments Innovation Alliance, the body that helps set the rules for the U.S. ACH network. Fellow members include JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Fiserv, Circle and ADP. It was also picked for Circle's Arc testnet alongside Visa, Mastercard and State Street.

5️⃣ It also sells eSIMs and card terminals
Along with the payroll software, Zebec built ZebecNET - a data-only eSIM network with World Mobile, plus its own point-of-sale terminals for merchants. The logic: payroll doesn't work if the workers getting paid have no reliable internet.

If Zebec succeeds, does ZBCN actually benefit?

Most people assume that if a project grows users, volume, and revenue, the token will automatically rise with it.
That’s not always true.
ZBCN is an interesting case because it doesn’t have its own blockchain. So the normal “native token” advantages don’t apply the same way.
I put together a breakdown looking at:
• How Zebec tries to route product fees and revenue back into ZBCN
• The difference between buybacks and burns
• What multi-chain expansion means for the token
• Whether the design actually creates demand for ZBCN when the business grows
Curious what others think after watching — does this look like strong tokenomics for an ecosystem token, or is something still missing?
