a day with Rye

went to pick up something for free from Facebook marketplace and took Ryeland

we also went to a park and walked our real dogs (and I had Rye clipped on my bag) but I didnt get any pics, but one of our real dogs is in the background of slide 5, his name is Hansi

took the gear off when we got home and watched a video about portal together while I ate, and now I'm playing tomodachi life

I'm going camping and I want to take Rye but I dont want his long fur to get a bunch of debris stuck in it so he's staying home, but that means i'll get more pics of other essas since I post Rye so much HAHA

Meet Ernest + his new jumper

First time posting Ernest online so... Here he is, he's the autism plushie dreadful. I'm obsessed with him.

The bottle jumpers from B&M fit plushie dreadfuls pretty well! Not the most amazing stitching but for £2 I was made up, he looks so cutesy. ❤️

I don't post much about my essas, but I figured some might be interested in picking these cute little jumpers up for theirs.

Bought a Douglas Cat

They don't sell them in physical stores in my country, but I'm on holiday abroad and went into a toy shop. The first day I didn't buy anything, but I went back a second day because I was nearby... and after holding her a bit and stroking her I was like, hmmm. There was a second cat and I was holding both and a lady asked me will you buy both? I said no, she said oh good as I want to buy one, i just love cats! So then I was like, I have to get one XD

The fur is definitely not as soft as some douglas plushies I touched, who were insanely soft, but after stroking her a couple minutes it wasn't so bad. At first I thought she felt too rough.

I might still hand-wash her and add conditioner when I get home.. not sure yet. Don't want to wreck her!

With Our Friend Grace Kelly

We went to Pizza Pub and took this special picture with our friend Kelly who I have nicknamed "Grace" Kelly. The artwork on the back wall is amazing.

Sunniva!!

she was originally a birthday gift but since I knew about her and my birthday is soon (Halloween) my mom was like theres not really a point in her just sitting in a closet, so she went on her first outing today to pick up groceries, nothing that interesting and she didnt leave the car (mom's disabled so we get pick up, im her aid so I come with to carry the bags) but she loved it nonetheless and shes excited for more outings

So here's an intro for Sunniva, or Sunny/Sunkist (like from the half life YouTube series, not the soda, granted Sunkist from that series IS named after the soda HAHA)

Meet Hound & Jackal!

Hound is the Yutyrannus and the Velociraptor is Jackal :D
They’re the final ESSAs I have planned to purchase, and they were the last of my dream ESSAs on my list

They’re both super soft (including the printed parts, which is sort of between a minky and microfiber texture which is great because microfiber stuff tends to be an issue for me but these are perfectly fine!)
I’m super excited to have them, I’m planning to bring Jackal with me to End of Oak Street when I go see it :)

I’m going to test out some of my gear on them and see how they fit in my bag but worst case I just need to make them gear lol

Lore(?) and personalities;
Jackal is a bit playful and can get into a little trouble being mischievous, but he’s loyal and well behaved under handler control. He was from a lineage of military working raptors but his training for the job was never completed. This gave him inherited protective traits, but he was ultimately deemed better for emotional support than military service due to his somewhat aloof personality. He’s very friendly but will prioritize keeping his handler calm and safe.

Hound is more stoic than Jackal but enjoys human company, specifically people he becomes bonded to. He’s very loyal and very well behaved, he was trained for supply transit protection so he’s also confident in a lot of situations. He can be a little sassy with his handler when he’s relaxed but that’s his form of playful and he’s still good with direct commands. He was retired and trained for emotional support due to his friendliness with humans and natural calm.

Both Jackal and Hound are socialized and trained for emotional support, and neither are aggressive. They sometimes wear muzzles for the comfort of others in public since they’re scarier than regular dogs, but it isn’t required for restraint.

If anyone read all that stuff, thank you! They’re my boys and I love them dearly, and this is the nonsense I cooked up while waiting to get them lol

-Tony

some photos from today

went out bike riding with rufous/bonzo, and had a pretty great time. i found it was easiest to carry him while biking by attaching him to my hip with a carabiner, so that's smth i'll keep in mind for the future

more new gear + outing pics

All Ryeland this time, he looks so cute in the gear I just got yesterday 😭😭 I had him show off the couple harnesses I got this time

thrift outing + lil gear haul

first are some pics of Evangeline, she loves shopping outings so she's usually the companion for them. Then I had her and a couple others model the gear I got: starting with Jaxton in a couple harnesses and a bandana, then Ryeland in another harness, and lastly Evie got to show off the hoodie and shirt, this was such a fun and successful trip since usually everything I find is too big

+ a bonus of a new comfort item i also got at the thrift, he's a shelf sitter of a sleepy foal, he doesn't have a name yet but I adore him, he's my newest son, share name suggestions if you'd like to!

Recovering from the dentist so I made a nametag for Finch 💛💚

I had to get three crowns today at the dentist :,))

Are the nametags good? Not really, it's hard to keep the stamper in place while I smack it with the hammer LOL and then it doesn't get deep enough in some places to hold paint and etc etc. Did it help distract me from 3/4 quadrants of my mouth, including both on the bottom so my tongue was gone, being numb and then hurting when the numbing wore off? Yes. So altogether worth it imo :)

But anyway I'm happy they both have nametags now :D Jackdaw's has some charms on it too, but it'd be hard to put charms on Finch's. His collar has no D-ring so I had to attach it via the regular keyring, and the charms would be stacked behind or in front instead of beside it like Jackdaw's. Besides, I think minimalism fits him a little better c: Jackdaw is definitely more of a maximalist

Does anyone else come up with personalities for their ESSAs and sorta roleplay with them? Introduce them if you want! :D

These are my ESSAs, Jackdaw (collie) and Finch (wolf)! Jackdaw is outgoing and confident, and a little proud. He's Finch's big brother. Finch is more timid and gentle, and he looks up to Jackdaw (which he appreciates bc he's not too happy that his little brother is bigger than him).

I love to hear about peoples plushie personalities, feel free to introduce/talk about yours too! :D

Meet Kayla! My Childhood Cat Reborn as an ESSA

I figured it was finally time to introduce Kayla, the first member of my ESSA family! 🌸🐾

She's a little different from some ESSAs because she's based on my actual childhood cat and best feline friend. I even had her plush custom-made by Chongker using photos of Kayla.

Of course, she's not a replacement for the Kayla I remember. She's more like a way of keeping those memories alive while getting to make new ones together. 🐾💕

I wrote up more over on my DeviantArt if anyone wants to learn more about her:

I'm really excited to start bringing Kayla along on little adventures and sharing them!

Does anyone else have an ESSA based on a real childhood pet?

Car Part Shopping

While we were comparison shopping for parts that I can't machine at home for my car project, we made a new friend in a sweet lady named Amy at O'Reilly's Auto Parts today. We posed with Subie to take a picture and remember this special day! I got a hood ornament and a radiator cap for my car.

Doodled Bungee :D

I've ordered him a collar, tag, and harness with leash! The leash can function like a crossbody strap so I can carry him hands-free!

Bungee is chilling in my backpack at work 🩷

No one's here but me this week, but I still don't want to take him out just in case someone comes in 👀
