I am putting this out there because our local workers deserve to be treated with respect, and what I witnessed recently at our local Home Hardware in Rocky Mountain House AB was incredibly disappointing.

No one should have to go to work only to be publicly humiliated, but I recently witnessed a supervisor/staff member named Tracy yelling at and berating other staff members.

Our local business employees work hard to keep things running, and they should not have to tolerate a toxic, hostile work environment.

What to tell them: Let them know you are a concerned community member/customer and that you are unhappy to hear about/witness Tracy's behavior and shouting toward the staff.

I am hoping to gain some insight into finding new employment as I had to leave my job a year ago due to my work being bought out and managed by new ownership. I left due to being yelled at more than once by my new bosses and being blamed for structural company issues. New job applications for larger orgs. have asked if they can contact specific employers. I have references from outside my former workplace that can vouch for me. I am just wondering if anyone has experience either seeking or hiring and how this is dealt with on that end. I have training in my industry and managed the whole company in my final year, but feel that the last year has tainted my years of hard work and professional progress.
