hi i recently started my first year in uni pursuing a cs degree i really like the field but i read abt many peoples experiences and how they regret choosing this major bc the job market is cooked and theres so much competition no matter how skillful u are and im regretting my life choices rn… im thinking of redoing my bac and going for something in the medical field lol, Any advices?

Hi, I'm working on a project, and I need to know which inventory and sales management system are they using?
is their a single popular software, or is each one using a different one? maybe based on the filed they are working on.
bonus question: how much are they paying for it? and is it a subscription?

Je travaille pour un institut qui donne des cours de dialecte algérien en visio à des élèves vivant en France. On recrute des professeurs avec ce profil :

• Natif en dialecte algérien et résidant en Algérie
• Bon niveau de français (B2–C1)
• Connexion internet stable et bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques de base

Les cours se donnent en petits groupes de 5 élèves maximum, à distance, avec un programme et des fiches déjà prêts.

I'm a junior full-stack developer currently working on a CDD.

Today, my boss called me for a conversation about my work. He started talking about how quickly AI is advancing and how development teams are going to become smaller because AI can now do a lot of what developers used to do.

He mentioned that they already had a freelancer working with them before I joined, and then they added me to the team. He basically told me that with the advancement of AI I should take into consideration the work I'm doing because I'm sometimes too slow when he gives me tasks.

What caught my attention was the combination of these two things:

• AI is reducing the amount of developers companies need.
• He thinks I'm taking too long to complete tasks.

I'm still learning and obviously I'm not as fast as a senior developer.

But after this conversation, I'm wondering whether this was basically a warning that my CDD probably won't be renewed.

I'm not sure whether I should:

1. Double down on development and learn to use AI much more effectively so I can become significantly faster.
2. Start looking for another developer position now, just in case.
3. Move toward something adjacent to development, such as backend/integration, CRM/ERP, automation, DevOps, QA automation, etc.
4. Consider leaving development entirely and switching to another career(m thinking about this but i dont know what exactly and m going to watse time again learning another career even tho i need to make money to live)

For experienced developers/managers:

How would you interpret what my boss said?

Would you take this as a genuine warning that your position is at risk, or as normal feedback about productivity?

And if you were in my position as a junior developer today, would you continue investing heavily in development despite the AI situation, or would you start moving toward another field?

I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have managed developers or have gone through something similar.

Did any one took the github student pack before?

I did try to apply, first with the usual enrollment certificate ( Arabic) and result is rejected, then i tried to translate it, add both univ logo and department logo, all necessary infos, also result is rejected, also all applications was with certified university email.

I don't know what is the problem!!!! Also they don't have any support, just some static FAQ section and AI assistant.

What do you suggest?
