youtu.beLooking for lost mid-2000s YouTube creator "EmoMan42" (Evangelion - Tales of Interest / Comedy AMVs)
Hello All!
I am looking for the videos of a very specific YouTube creator that was active around 2005 - 2009 on YouTube named EmoMan42. He was known for his short comedy AMVs which usually circled around Evangelion and Elfen Lied. His most popular series was Evangelion - Tales of Interest where he would dub Evangelion scenes with audio clips from the Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, etc. These videos were usually made in Windows Movie Maker.
I actually have a small archive of some of his videos linked here:
If this rings a bell for any early YouTube anime fans, please let me know! Any clues on where they went or how to find their archived files would be incredible. Even if you don't have any information about it, I would love to hear if you remember them and if you had a favorite parody!
Thank you!

My friend made this AMV I love to support his work as he is always putting a lot of effort into his edits, if you liked it you could tell him too!! :)
What would be the best program to use for making AMVs as of now??
Recently Ive been working on an AMV using CapCut, though I’ve been thinking that something like DaVinci Resolve would be a better option for making AMVs.

Syncing to the beat?
So, I guess this question has two parts. The main one is: A while back, I read that when you're trying to make a cut or sync an event to music, you want to put the visuals a little before or a little after the beat hits on the timeline, due to how humans process A/V stimulus. I cannot for the life of me remember where I read this, how to source it, or whether it was before or after, so if anyone knows offhand, I'd appreciate it.
The second is less important, cuz I've done okay for myself so far, but short of setting a truly deranged framerate for the project, I have no idea how or if I can make Da Vinci Resolve snap to time (musical or otherwise) versus frames (which are basically always gonna be 24/s), so if there is a way to do that, I'd appreciate it. But it's mostly the first thing.
