I am hard stuck in this area

the only way out are these doors
one require hitting the switch which I can't do with my items
the other is blocked with no way to open it
I fell down from above and I can't go back
any ideas or something I am missing?

Help with eggs

Can anyone give me some low-key, not too spoilery hints for the last four eggs? I have all the items.

How are you supposed to find this button?

I eventually looked up on the wiki on how to get the wheel and it said I need to drop Slink down by the fish to activate a button and make it to the little room up top... but why would anybody ever try and do that? Was there a hint somewhere that I missed?

A year ago, I tried turning our 3D-printed Slinky machine into a full-time kit business. Here’s why I’m pivoting to content instead.

About a year ago, I shared our father-and-son project here - a 3D-printed automatic staircase for a Slinky (Mr. Slinky).

Since January of this year, I’ve been working on this project full-time. My goal was to produce and ship assembly kits worldwide, handling everything from manufacturing, packaging, and logistics to marketing and customer communication. (My 12-year-old son generously stepped into the role of Chief Creative Advisor :)).

It didn’t take long to realize that life on the business side of physical products is tough. As an engineer at heart, I quickly learned that while I love designing, prototyping, and mechanical problem-solving, managing the daily grind of e-commerce, shipping logistics, and low-margin sales was draining. The product itself was refined, but getting enough reach and conversion to cover minimum expenses proved to be a massive uphill battle.

Instead of burning out, I’m making a shift.

I’m stepping back from actively selling assembly kits and moving 100% of my focus toward turning these builds into mechanical art, engineering content, and satisfying ASMR builds. I want to spend my time designing new 3D-printed mechanisms, refining the audio and visual presentation, and sharing the engineering process with people who appreciate it.

I'm now putting my energy into YouTube and sharing my builds here, though I'm still figuring out if Reddit is the right place for this blend of #3Dprinting, #engineering, and #satisfying #ASMR attempts 🙈

If you’ve been following the project or just enjoy mechanical 3D builds, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. And if you’d like to support this new direction, checking out our YouTube channel would mean the world to us!

Thanks for all the support and feedback along the way!

Games like layer 1 of animal well

Layer 1 was wonderful, clever puzzles, smart ideas, great pacing but soon as I tried getting all the eggs I lost all the interest. Hitting your head against walls, interperting random bullshit hoping it means something, key items being hidden away in corners, genunely made me misserable. So what games would you recommend that are likey Layer 1. Closest I played is Ooo

Completed the Ostrich section without freeing it

So during the section where you see the ostrich in the hamster wheel and you have the bridge with the four buttons beneath it, I just read that to complete this puzzle you're supposed to free the ostrich and then have it fall through the bridge and pressing all 4 buttons at the same time to unlock the door.

I dunno if I found a glitch or if it was intended to be completed another way, but I managed to unblock the door without freeing the ostrich. I did this by standing on the button that callapsed the bridge and then throwing the yoyo underneath it. Then I stood on the bridge and threw the yoyo round and round until it eventually hit all 4 buttons.

Just wondering if there is any point to going back and trying to complete the puzzle the way it was intended or just carry on.

Am I locked out of this room? Probably late game spoiler

It’s been a while since I’ve last played the game, so I don’t remember if I just forgot to let the boss blast away that specific wall, or if I thought it would stay open and I could return later. Will that room be locked forever now? I already have all the tools (12).
