Beauty May

I wanted to share a small update about Beauty May.
Ms. Carina Suarez, the owner of the sanctuary Mama’s Cradle Animal Sanctuary in Cavinti, Laguna, Philippines, has noticed some changes that are concerning. Her appetite has decreased again, and she seems to be isolating herself from the other animals. Ms. Suarez also observed that Beauty May has been eating dirt, and when she gently felt her abdomen, it seemed quite firm.

We became emotional because we care so deeply for Beauty May. We are incredibly grateful to have partnered with a sanctuary where rescued animals are treated with such compassion and genuine love.

I suggested bringing Beauty May back to the veterinarian, but Ms. Suarez would like to continue monitoring her closely for now and hand-feed her. She is worried that confining Beauty May in a clinic may cause her additional stress, especially since she enjoys roaming freely around the sanctuary.

Ms. Suarez is well connected with several veterinarians and has already consulted one regarding Beauty May's condition. The veterinarian advised that, considering her age and existing medical conditions, the symptoms she is showing are not unexpected.

Ms. Suarez has volunteered at several veterinary clinics and has cared for many animals with serious medical emergencies, including cases similar to Beauty May's. For now, she is monitoring Beauty May closely while continuing to follow the veterinarian's advice. She is also mindful of Beauty May's mental and emotional well-being, as stress can play a role in her overall health and recovery.

Ms. Carina Suarez is actually very well known for her work in Animal Welfare in the Philippines. She is amazing. This is one article I found and she just recently just had a TV interview and will be broadcasted in the near future:

(This was before she moved to her sanctuary) (2019):

I keep reminding her that whatever Beauty May needs, we will provide. Even if I have to work more and more. I will do it.

We will continue to stay in close contact and share updates as soon as we receive them. Beauty May means so much to us, and we remain hopeful that she will begin feeling better again. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and for continuing to support her journey.

I apologize as I could not make more video updates today. I just finished a night shift. I am very exhausted physically and emotionally. I love Beauty May and all of them.

I feel really emotional. Its tough.

Thank you,

Beauty May’s Update❤️‍🩹/Coloring Hope ⭐️

Hi everyone,

I founded Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation, a registered non-profit dedicated to helping neglected, abused, and abandoned dogs and cats in the Philippines.

To help raise funds for veterinary care, food, rescue transportation, and rehabilitation, I created printable coloring sheets featuring 10 real rescue animals our foundation has helped: Bela, Beauty May, Riley, MatMat, MaeMae, Baci, Elijah, Isabella, Doki, and Angel.

If you enjoy coloring or would like to support animal rescue, I'd be grateful if you took a look. Every purchase helps fund future rescues and medical care.

Thank you for helping us give these animals the love and care they deserve.

Update: Doki’s 4th EPO treatment🐾💛⚡️

Hi everyone,

I am really hoping Doki's treatment is working and that he becomes more stable. Chronic kidney disease can progress quickly, and more than anything, I want him to be comfortable, pain-free, and as healthy as possible.
Thank you to everyone who continues to care about animals. They deserve a life filled with love, respect, dignity, and compassion, no matter where they came from.

I can't believe I've known Doki for six months now, even before I officially registered the non-profit. If I'm being honest, there are times I regret making it official. Running a registered non-profit comes with endless paperwork, rules, and responsibilities. I've never been someone who enjoys broadcasting volunteer work. I would have been perfectly happy helping quietly behind the scenes.

BUT then I think about Doki, Beauty May, Baci, Angel the Husky, MeiMei, Jericho, ChiChi, MatMat, Raphael, Isabella, and the many other animals we've been able to help more than 30 of them. Many of you would have never known their stories, and they may not have received the support that changed their lives.

Sharing these stories isn't about recognition. It's about raising awareness that these situations are real. They are heartbreaking, but they exist whether we look at them or not. We can't pretend they aren't happening, because if we did, animals like Doki and so many others might never receive the help they desperately need.
Thank you for caring, for following their journeys, and for giving these animals hope.

Sincerely,

Magdalene “Dindi” Gensaya

Neglected Huskey in the Philippines - Rescued! #VoicelessNoMorePH

Hi everyone,
I saw a video of a neglected Husky in Bacoor, Cavite. She was living in a cage and had a paw/leg injury from the broken wires of her old cage. The real owner didn't walk her and was reportedly feeding her rotten food.

The person who posted the video is actually a family member of the owner. She felt bad for the dog and decided to post about her on social media. She was really afraid of what could happen, but she still did it anyway, and I truly admire her for that. 👏

The owner's mother wanted money in exchange for the dog, so I paid so they would finally let her go. She never even had a name, so I named her Angel-ina Julyie, or "Angel" for short, because she was rescued in July.

A lot of people commented saying they wanted to adopt her, but both the OP and I were worried that because she's an unspayed Husky, she could end up being used for breeding. When I posted her on my personal page and on Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation, I made it clear that anyone interested in adopting her would have to agree to have her spayed and give her the daily exercise Huskies need. After that, nobody inquired.

It honestly bugs me when dogs are treated like money-making machines instead of family.

Thankfully, I found a shelter that is willing to care for her while she recovers. She'll be seeing a veterinarian on Monday for her injuries, and once she's healthy enough, I will have her spayed before we start looking for the right forever home.

Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation sponsored and organized this rescue mission and will continue sponsoring Angel's veterinary care and daily needs.

If anyone would like to support Angel, I'll leave the link below. But please don't ever feel pressured. I'm always afraid of being judged because I ask for help for them.
If helping isn't something you want to do, that's completely okay. I'll keep working harder. I'm only human, and I have feelings too. I am still new at this, so I don’t have a thick skin yet when people accuse me of something I am not. Especially when people have no idea how much money, time, emotions, and energy I also invest. It hurts..

I'll make a video sharing Angel's story and her arrival at the shelter, and I'll post more updates in the next few days. I am just really really tired.
I'm working 72 hours this week to make sure I can continue providing for my rescues. I'm also trying to brainstorm fundraising ideas here in my town and internationally, but I'm honestly exhausted today and have another night shift tonight. I'll get back to everyone as soon as I can.

Thank you for caring about Angel. ❤️

P.S.

I do not understand, why buy huskies in the Philippines… it’s so hot there. :( we need to be considerate of animals’ well-being and their needs.

Update on Beauty May - July 1, next couple pics are Trigger Warning (closeup old wounds)

Hi everyone,

I finally received an update about Beauty May from Ms. Carina Suarez of Mama's Cradle Animal Sanctuary. She said Beauty May now enjoys roaming freely around the sanctuary. After everything she's been through, that made me smile. ❤️

After we asked Ms.Suarez to bring Beauty May for a check up a couple weeks ago, Beauty May is now currently on medications for her kidney and liver issues. I've asked Ms. Suarez to book her follow-up check-up this July so we can see how she's responding to treatment. She said that her urination is way better now as before; therefore, her abdomen, seems smaller now. Before she seemed bloated because of it. Ms.Suarez could not take a picture of it because Beauty May wanted to go and roam at the time 😂 She also started using the Manuka Honey that she suggested us to buy for Beauty May for her mouth and neck wounds.

If you would like to continue supporting Beauty May and our rescues, I'll leave our support link below. No pressure at all. Our non-profit only officially started this April, yet we're already supporting 36 rescued (updated: 5 cats just passed away couple days ago 💔) animals in the Philippines. This week, I worked six 12-hour shifts in a row, and I'll keep picking up extra shifts and collecting recyclables to help cover their care. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than you know.

Thank you!

Pasig Cats 💔5 have now… 💔💔💔

We urgently need help for our rescued cats.
I'm heartbroken to share that five of the cats we rescued have now passed away, and four more urgently need veterinary care.

We placed them with a shelter we believed would provide proper care. Unfortunately, we recently learned that one kitten had passed away without us being informed. When our rescue assistant visited the shelter, we were told that several cats became sick after getting caught in the rain, and four had already died. We were never notified that they were ill, even though we regularly asked for updates in our group chat.

To be honest, I am angry. I am grieving.. I am so upset ;((

Our rescue assistant also noticed that the dogs we brought there have become much thinner since arriving.
The shelter owner explained that she lives about four hours away and relies on caretakers to manage the shelter. Sadly, another cat has since passed away, and our immediate priority is getting the remaining cats the medical attention they need.

I tried to raise support yesterday but wasn't able to secure any assistance.

I've already give. over $300 CAD to this shelter to help cover with our rescued expenses, donated a large cat kennel, and 40 kg of dog food, but the remaining cats still need veterinary treatment and food.

If anyone is able to help with their veterinary expenses or food, or has any suggestions or resources that could help, I would be incredibly grateful. If you'd like your support to go toward a specific need, such as veterinary care or food, just let me know.

Thank you for reading and for caring about these animals.

Beauty’s Update

Hello everyone:)
Beauty’s update (video) was from June 24 as the owner of the sanctuary said that she needs to get her phone fixed. Once I get another update about her health I will give it as soon as possible! She also said she has been applying ointment on her wounds.

Again, Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation is still her main sponsor for her medical needs. I asked again the owner of sanctuary, Ms. Carina Suarez, about Beauty’s Health status after her most recent check up and I still have not receive a response yet. However, I have been seeing her posting on social media. I am optimistic that I will be seeing a response in a couple of days. I am aware that running a sanctuary is a very busy job.

[Graphic Video Warning] Animal-cruelty case in Jieyang, Guangdong, China — why stronger animal-protection laws are urgently needed in China

Post:
WARNING: This post contains disturbing video evidence of animal cruelty. Please do not watch if you are sensitive to violence toward animals. The videos are included for documentation and public awareness, not for entertainment.

A deeply disturbing case in Jieyang, Guangdong, China has caused widespread outrage online.

The videos below reportedly show the abuse and killing of five dogs: a mother dog and her four puppies, by 4 underage boys. I am sharing them because many people feel this case should not disappear without public attention—but please watch with caution.

I have not included names, faces, addresses, school information, or other identifying details.

However, refusing vigilante violence should not mean that society treats severe animal cruelty as something insignificant.

According to the latest government update, the children involved are below the age of criminal responsibility, and the official response has focused on education and parental guardianship. Education and intervention are important, but this case also highlights a major gap: China still lacks a clear nationwide law that explicitly prohibits cruelty to companion animals such as dogs and cats.

People are calling for stronger protections in China, including:

  • A clear legal definition of animal cruelty and abandonment
  • Administrative penalties for serious abuse
  • Mandatory psychological intervention and education for minors involved in severe cruelty
  • Restrictions on future animal ownership after serious abuse
  • Better reporting channels for animal-cruelty cases
  • Protection and support for rescuers, shelters, and veterinary treatment
  • Humane-education programs in schools

This should not be treated as “just children being children” or as online entertainment. A mother dog and her puppies suffered and died. Their lives deserve more than temporary outrage.

Please share responsibly, and please help raise awareness about the need for enforceable animal-protection laws in China.

Horse-drawn carriages halt operations during extreme heat to protect horses.

Suspending horse-drawn carriage services during peak heat hours is a step forward, but it is not enough. Horses continue to face physical strain, traffic, noise, and harsh weather. Meaningful animal welfare means ending these outdated and cruel practices altogether and replacing them with humane alternatives.
