Triangular houses?

So, I picked this game up yesterday after pouring a couple hundred hours in 1800 and I have one singular annoyance with this game.

Now, it could be the case that I just haven't found them yet but..... where are the triangular houses? Do they exist? Are they planned to be added? Are they hidden somewhere?

What's the purpose of the diagonal roads if nothing else (other than farm fields and walls) can be built with diagonals. I honestly assumed the housing would be somewhat similar to manor lords where you can just highlight and area and the game would just fill it with whatever fits in whatever shape you make.

Thoughts?

Aqueduct sliding

Please correct me if i missed it, but I don't think I have ever seen someone else here do it.

Maybe some people haven't found about this yet, but you can slide down on top of your aqueducts. Just left click where you want to start and off you go.

Anno 117 is now "Upgrade to Play", despite months of playing it on the same membership. Anyone else?

I've been playing Anno 117: Pax Romana for months on my Founders membership, no problems. Nothing on my account has changed. After some time away, I came back this week to realize that the game had switched to "Upgrade to play / For Premium Members" and won't launch.

My membership is the same one I've had, still active. The RTX badge on Anno 117 was there the whole time I could play it, so I don't think RTX/tier gating is the reason.

It looks like the required tier for this specific title got raised after the fact, and existing members who were already playing it just quietly lost access, with no notice.

Anyone else on a legacy/Founders (or lower) tier suddenly getting "Upgrade to play" on Anno 117 when you could play it before?

Any NVIDIA folks here who can say whether this change was intended to pull the title from members who already had it?

Happy to add screenshots. Just trying to figure out if this is a broad change or something wrong with my account specifically.

Goldwashers' productivity reduced

Hey there, my Goldwashers' productivity is at 65% and I don't know why.

When hovering over the gear symbol, it says I should have 100% base plus 30% buff from Vulcan deity. I'm not in volcanic winter and don't see any other devices that could cause this. Also, I read about a previous known bug, that should be fixed in version 1.6.1 which I have.

Does anybody have an idea what to do?

EDIT: solved

After unlocked many new things do you just bulldoze everything?

First time anno player.

After you unlocked a lot of buildings and new stuff do you just bulldoze what ever you had build before or how do you do it?
I started building and planning a bit but now I have a lot of things I just put where it works but I don’t like it aestheticly.

Magic Deer

After uncountable hours with Anno117 I'm hyped to see this little Easter egg magic. My Albion folks have to now build a shrine here and dedicate the island to the right god I guess. Taking suggestions.

Been indulging in Echoes of History videos lately, and they've got a few discussing subjects around Anno 117: Pax Romana

Over the past few days I have been watching one after the other of Echoes of History, a history podcast that works in partnership with Ubisoft. Mostly they do various videos covering Assassin's Creed, but lately they've done a couple of promotional videos for Anno 117.

The biggest revelation of this video is learning that the idea of "The Roman Peace" could be better understood as a peace of the heartland more than the whole empire or its sphere of influence (which makes sense because that's where all the wealthiest Romans are living). Plenty of frontier wars and rebellions like what we do in Albion, but so long as there's no war in the core provinces, you have pax.

Emperor Lucius sending Calidus to conquer Albion (or you, or Calidus' campaigns in Parthava/Parthia) while touting his reign as an age of peace is not a contradiction. He and others likely would have imagined this as a time of real, lasting peace because Rome itself wasn't under threat.

117: You’ll need more bread for Update 2.0 than you think (based on a new late-game mechanic)

I recently made a post in this subreddit wondering if an increase of 1.5 in bread consumption is actually that influential of a change, also in light of the upcoming “breadbasket of the Roman Empire.” Oli from the Dev Team took the time to reply (thanks, Oli!) and in his response also talked about how the last Splendour Level of the reworked Amphitheater will unlock bread as a need for Libertii.
Very cool idea IMO, as it seems to me like a cool late-game mechanic that gives you more of that precious Liberti workforce. So… if you plan on using this feature, you might need a lot more bread than you thought.

Also: Oli talked about an increase in processing capacities of grain mills from 30 to 20s.

Also also: He hinted at a rebalancing consideration of all goods (consumption rates as well as good attributes) in Patch 3.0

Should i find another spot for the Hippodrom?

Hi, i cleared out a spot for the Hippodrom from the space it should be enough but I fear that it might be to steep and has too many small hills. This place is on the plateau next to Ceacilias Habour. So do you guys think this place would fit the Hippodrom?

I swear I’m always having islands with low population even when I’m meeting their needs. What should I prioritize?

Vassalize or Raze?

It seems that vassalize is just a delay option so I razed the island and didn't like that since I couldn't afford to buy it.

But I'm wondering if you vassalize and then agree to peace what happens?
