The iOS 26 is so terrible. My nice Android phone broke and I switched over to this, but it’s been so horrible that id rather use the low end android backup phone I have: while I fix my nice android.

over the last few weeks, i've been noticing my storage getting progressively fuller every time i've checked it, and it wasn't because i've been downloading new apps, it was because my system data (and much less but still my iOS storage) have been skyrocketing upwards and i was wondering if there was a reason for this ?? it's gotten to the point where more than half of my app inventory is now offloaded, and i have to offload an app if i want to take a few photos because my storage space is so tight!!
just now, i noticed that apple has now been offloading apps without telling me just so my system data can take up more space! i know this is true because i downloaded snapchat just an hour ago, used it properly, and went to check a notification only to find that it had been offloaded without any form of notification on that. when i tried to redownload it, my phone was telling me that i am unable to do so due to lack of storage.
i've been researching a little bit and i've tried the "time travel trick" twice and have fulled deleted/redownloaded high-cache apps like instagram. i told my brother, who knows a lot about tech, and he put it simply that i have "phone cancer", meaning that essentially my data will continue to rise and there's nothing to do about it, though i simply just can't believe that.
i have an iPhone 13 of which i've had for about 3 years. i haven't contacted apple about it yet because i just wanted to see if there was anything else i can do before i take that step. if anybody has any way to lower system data down, please let me know !! uncontrollable storage taking up more than half of my storage space is insane!!

Ich möchte einfach nur mit Safari 4 große Dateien herunterladen und diese dnn auf eine externe SSD schieben. Mittendrin schmiert das Gerät völlig ab, der Downloads Ordner ist angeblich leer (es sind viele Dateien darin enthalten). iCloud Sync setzt aus mit dem Fehler, dass angeblich kein Speicher zur Verfügung steht (ich habe das 2 TB Abo), es werden keine App Symbole mehr angezeigt, nix geht mehr. Nur mehrmaliger Neustart schafft Abhilfe. Selbst danach ist das Gerät langsam und alles ruckelt. Ach ja, die Downloads brechen sofort ab, wenn man in eine andere App wechselt, und lassen sich nicht fortsetzen.
Ich habe das M4 Modell mit 256GB Speicher, und es verhält sich bei solchen basic Aufgaben wie ein überlasteter Taschenrechner.
Der Kram ist übel teuer, und Apple bekommt es nicht hin, das alles vernünftig läuft.

The current economy of proper app development, including games, computer software and mobile apps, is garbage. Half of them are broken as can be. Even just iOS is beyond broken when it comes to indexing, UI features bugging out, severe battery drain. I just don’t understand it. There’s a system to properly coding and publishing an app, yet it’s not being followed. Something as simple as confirm button isn’t being double checked and isn’t displaying or is a dead UI not “ wired in” to the backend. It’s exhausting. I’ve been loyal to Apple for over a decade but more and more everyday they’re proving to me they’re going way way way downhill….
I’m just going to throw this out there after much research n reading other feeds it seems to me there are a lot of others that got screwed by crapple one way or another n then there’s other ppl well you shoulda did this or that fuck those ppl this is about what fair what right n wrong is it fair to charge us maximum amount just because we punched in card info when they have 3 different options to choose from but then you call support n there’s nothing they can do for you bullshit

I've been using Apple's Hide My Email because I genuinely thought it was one of the safest ways to keep my real email private. Now I'm seeing reports that someone may have found a way to figure out the real email behind those aliases... and apparently this was reported to Apple OVER A YEAR AGO. OVER. A. YEAR. AGO. WTF, Apple????
I use Coveron to keep an eye on whether my personal info shows up in leaks, and so far I haven't seen anything that looks like it came from this. But now I'm kinda wondering if I'm just missing something??? Like am I checking the wrong things???

I've noticed a massive jump in the retail price of the iPad Air this month. It was tracking at approximately 59k, but suddenly all available listings are pushing 85k+. Can anyone explain the economics behind this sudden shift? Are authorized retailers completely out of standard stock, leaving only algorithm-driven inflated prices?
i wanted to give my brain stimulation, and i already changed my time to military a few years ago, so i thought the obvious next step is to try a new phone ecosystem, since i was already noticing a few slips with iOS. i’ve researched into the zflip and am in LOVE!!! anyway, now my iOS phone is really giving me all the reasons why the switch needs to happen.
- my phone freezes all the time
- i use Live Caption constantly and it stops working when it freezes all the time and i have to restart my phone
- today i placed an order, and i pasted my new address in. Address, city, state was correct, then i put the order through and my address city changed to San Diego. Girrrrrl, im in colorado???? you just said Denver???? freaked me out, got it handled.
- when i go to look at the media ive shared with messages contacts, there is literally LOADS of photos missing that i can only see when i scroll back via our conversation
- it is starting to not register first time taps!!! Oi.

Anyone who works at Apple retail is this normal?? I’ve been working here for about 2 months and a couple of days but I put it in unpaid time off for my birthday a month in advance so there wouldn’t be any issues. My time off was denied and I was asked to use my paid time off ?? Via account recovery, someone is changing the phone number on my account and apple is giving me a deadline on July 5th by the time they will be releasing my account to someone else. I basically clicked "cancel account recovery" and it sent to a blank white page saying "CANNOT VERIFY ACCOUNT" ??????
SO OBVIOUSLY THE EMAIL THAT THEY SENT ME IS JUST A NOTIFY ME THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO HACK MY ACCOUNT AND BREAK INTO IT THERE BY ACCESSING ALL OF MY NOTES SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE ALL MY PASSWORDS AND THEY'RE ALLOWING IT!!
I can cancel and resubscribe to a app that was supposed to be free for three days, but instead let me purchase a subscription, then won’t let me download any old app I’ve had on my phone, but will let me cancel and resubscribe to this app’s subscription. wtf is this dog shit policy.

I don't care about filters, I don't care about FMV, that's all fluff simp-level shit. I want file formats that are interchangeable between my mobile and the world's only real desktop/business OS.
And STOP tricking me into sending a video when I want to take a photo. If I wanted to record FMV (and I don't/never do/never will - waste of space) I would select the VIDEO option not PHOTO. I do not want people being able to press-hold on a photo I send an get three second worth of environmental recording. Apple is fucking insane: this is the 21st century and security threats are legion.

Apple TV - the device.
Apple TV - an app on the Apple TV device.
Apple TV - a streaming service that you access through the Apple TV app (which in itself is a store front and a hub, where Apple TV, the streaming service, is only a section) on your Apple TV.
Good luck to everyone having to try explain this to anyone. What an absolutely consumer-hostile naming scheme.
Or maybe I’m exaggerating? Just find the show on Apple TV in Apple TV on Apple TV.
And since third-party apps integrate with the AppleTV app, you can watch content in AppleTV not available on AppleTV. Mind boggling.
