Does the Arlington Public Library (Southeast Branch) hire for actual positions?
I’m trying to apply there, but I only see the volunteer application only on their website.
Please also recommend me libraries that does hire for actual positions within Arlington.
South Arlington- Planet Fitness, LA Fitness or Crunch Fitness?
i live off Cooper/Sublett, so im basically in the middle of all 3 major gym chains. anyone got opinions on these locations? LA is the most expensive and furthest away, but it also seems like the nicest, whereas Crunch seems kinda run-down? all opinions welcome
Dog missing, female. Her name is betty.
Last seen in the neighborhood near Arbrook park. (The duck pond)
Review of Okinawa All You Can Eat Asian restaurant near the Parks Mall
Husband and I decided to pop in at around 5.30pm on Friday. We were seated immediately. The service in general was very very good.
A good drinks selection, we had Asahi beers and hot house sake.
We made a lot of selections! The hot starters came out quickly and were very hot and fresh and crispy. The tempura shrimp were not technically tempura batter but they were tasty.
We had a variety of sushi and sashimi. I especially liked the eel and the mackerel. Each serving is small, but as you can order as many as you like it's not a problem.
The dessert bar isn't the best, but i was full by then anyway.
In summary, good value at less than $100 with drinks, without tip for 2. If you happen to be nearby it's worth popping in. The sushi isn't incredible but it's good for the price.
Pictured is our tab for your info.
Anything going on in Arlington Monday evening?
I just wanted to tryout a new camera I bought and i wanted to hit downtown after work and take some pics. It'd be cool if there was something going on like a bazaar, a concert or anything like that. Or maybe which areas are good to do a photo walk?
Where Can I Find Blended Chilled Coffee at Convenience Stores?
QT used to have what I call “coffee Slurpees”years ago before Starbucks got so prevalent around here, but QT no longer does. Are there any convenience stores that still sell them?
Illegal airbnb during world cup
I have tried reporting airbnb that dont have a propert permit to the city but on its website it does not let me submit them. I have emailed two people who work under code compliance and they just told me to go on the website and report it but told them it doed not work and i been ghosted.
I dontn think the city will do anything about this but i am concern for visitors who are coming here and renting them out. If an emergency happens home owners are out of luck but also the visitors can be at the hands of a bad host and be scammed. I am just trying to look out for those visiting because i dont want them to think all Americans are like this and i dont want them to continue to think negatively of us here in Arlington.
Need a new Lawn Service
Live over near 303 and Green Oaks. My lawn service guy has been doing other work for a lot of years (fences, concrete, tree trims, trash haul off etc.) Great guy but he has gotten to the point where the bigger jobs pay him enough and take up the majority of his time that he is redoing his business to focus more on that and give up the little bit of revenue that doing less than 10 lawns regularly provides and move on to bigger more profitable things. Couldn't be happier for him but now I have to find another dude and this guy has done my lawn for 10 plus years at this point so I don't even know where to look. Anybody have suggestions, independent individual, organized service, app whatever you got I'm game.

Cozy cafes or bookstores with super comfy seating?
I want to sit for a few hours and finish a book I've been reading, and I want to be somewhere with cozy, quiet vibes and very comfy chairs or couches.
Ideally it would be a cafe, but a lot of cafes in DFW seem to have a sterile, modern vibe. So a bookstore or library would also be welcome!
I'm looking for it to be within 20 minutes of central Arlington. Any suggestions are welcome, thank you in advance!
Need some friends
So as the title says, I would like some friends, a lot of my old friends. We just drifted apart. I love to go out to eat and go to like arcades and stuff. And there are a lot of movies that I wanted to see, but some, I just haven't, because I don't have anybody to go with. And none of my family wants to go out to watch movies im 30 m and any movies really but prefer horror and least liked is drama but will watch them im also love to play games and cook
Good Fried Fish?
Anyone know of a good spot in DFW for fried fish? Preferably red snapper, mahi mahi, or grouper.
Gardening Volunteer Opportunities?
I want to see if I would enjoy gardening but there aren't too many volunteering opportunities available. Is there any place or anyone that would take volunteers? I am available Friday - Sunday if anyone is willing to mentor me or let me work with them for one day.
Banks (or credit unions) that offer excellent customer service that can speak English.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I actually avoid calling when I have a problem because I literally cannot understand the person on the phone. It becomes awkward.
