Can anyone speak to PSA Dagger reliability? It’s not something I’d buy to be an EDC necessarily, but more so a fun gun. Gen 3 clone to customize and just have a good time with.
These guys do a lot of AK specific stuff, but also tons of other useful information from a bunch of very capable non-chuds.
The justices will hear arguments in the cases in its next term, which begins in October. One involves an ordinance in Cook County, Illinois, and the other centers on Connecticut's law.
Whenever its brought up, be it by me or someone else, I always see people say that armed resistance in the US is impossible either because “American military to big and scary”, or “America to big!”. Personally, I feel like takes like these are defeatist at their core, and I’m tired of seeing hopelessness like this keep rearing up. Is there some way I could respond that might change minds? Let me know what you would say to in response to this kind of thing.
Finally got to a point i can consider this WIP 90 percent done. This with the exception of the securing straps on the top of the rucksack's shoulder straps and the blackhawk IVS belt is all USGI surplus.
The LCE is:
M1967 H Suspenders with all the meat hooks removed and replaced with 550 cord.
Surplus LC2 ALICE pistol belt with the black fastex buckle.
4x LC2 ALICE triple mag pouches.
2x LC2 ALICE pistol mag pouches.
M8A1 Scabbard with M7 Bayonet
2x LC2 ALICE Canteen covers.
UM84 Pistol holster with an M9 inside.
M1967 field pack/buttpack (unfortunately there aren't any nylon duck OD Green three day training field packs I could find and the only one I posses is the M81 Woodland variant that is on my FLC. I didn't want to use the M1961 field pack as I wanted as much nylon instead of canvas).
USGI jungle style IFAK.
Blackhawk IVS Belt Pad (much more comfortable and prevents the metal from sticking into you.
All items except the holster and scabbard are affixed via zip ties.
The rucksack consists of:
USGI LC2 ALICE Large rucksack.
USGI LC2 ALICE frame.
USGI LC2 ALICE shoulder straps in M81 Woodland.
USGI LC2 ALICE waist strap with black fastex buckle.
Overall its a nifty setup except the ruck primary due to the frame as being a shorter person does me no favors. If you are taller (around 5'9) you'll probably have a lot more sucess with the frame depending on torso height. Otherwise it's a nice little nostalgic setup and definitely a good budget friendly option if you know where to look (ebay does wonders).
Next step for me is to build a MOLLE equivalent LBE.
long story short moving to a much more restrictive state for gun laws, and it doesnt look like my AR is legal there. It’s an RF-15 so not expensive but it’s my workhorse, I upgraded a lot of stuff and added peripherals to it, so it’ll suck to have to change it all back to stock. I’ll only be there for 8 months for this job so do I just sell my rifle? I don’t know how I feel about giving up my arms.
I emailed the only address I could find for Bay Area SRA but haven't received a response. I saw some inkling that said the chapter is closed down, so I'm wondering what other similar orgs are around that area, or the closest nearby SRA chapter.
Thanks in advance.
mister I ain’t hearda ya
GNX still slaps. deets in the comments.
I have a few 9mms that would be the runner up but the old school Cold War pistols (the H&K is kinda “end of history” era since it’s from the 90s lol) will always be my favorite. I can be a boomer with my taste for getting good with iron sights over optics lmao I do have red dots on several of my other optics ready options but I still love this overbuilt old school Mercedes Unimog looking ass handgun aka my USP 9mm. Rifle is an ambi LWRC IC DI 15 with a Holosun 510C (I think I need to check the box lol) and I’ve got an LPVO packed with it just in case. Just wish I had more mags for the USP :( that’s one of the downsides is you can’t just walk in somewhere and buy them like a Glock or other common pistol brand
I just got my first AK so I thought it would be a good reason to make my first post here. Stay safe
I've just acquired a solid replica of my M16 from my Navy days to go along with my Beretta M9 service pistol and the OG Colt 1911. Is my first AR platform, hoping I don't go too far down the rabbit hole...
Say you live with a family member and you already own an AR (the usual recommendation for a gun here), and now the family member is interested in getting their own gun. Is there more worth in them also getting an AR (same gun, same ammo, same benefits of one AR x2) or is there more worth in them getting a different firearm? Maybe something like a shotgun or PCC or a hunting rifle or whatever else from among all the options
