Wearing an IWB holster across the chest?
I'm visiting western Montana for a week and on the advice of the people I'm visiting, I brought my pistol for self defense while we're out in the wilderness. I didn't have a holster for my p320 m18, so I got the MFT Pro IWB holster at a bass pro shop, since it was the only thing they had in stock that would fit my gun. I'm a liberal city guy that really enjoys the outdoors but isn't experienced with this deep in the wild kind of environment.
I've also never worn AIWB, and found it to be pretty uncomfortable when I tried to wear this holster that way. Experimenting with it, I tried clipping it to the strap on my sling bag and turning it into a chest holster. I found it to be acceptably comfortable. I plan on carrying without a round in the chamber. I'm curious if anyone has tried this and what you thought?
Also, because I know there's going to be people racing to the comments to tell me I'm an idiot for bringing 9mm to bear country... I have "G9 Woodsman" ammo that claims to be able to penetrate deeply and break through the hard bones of large predator animals. I don't own anything larger and someone else in my party has bear spray so the pistol is a last resort.
