I ordered the 4K of Excalibur from the Barnes & Noble Arrow Sale on August 4th (when it showed as backorder), and the expected delivery has gone from August 25th to September 4th. Am I even getting it at this point, in the same 4K edition I ordered? 😑
As advertised in the Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey 4K. Doesn’t specify 4K but I assume it will be.
You get three disks in this. What a great release! Can’t wait to watch tonight!
I was able to catch the restock of Robocop amongst others and I honestly was expecting it to get back ordered, so I’m happy to see that it’s shipped and comes in Saturday. But I have a question for the veterans of arrow video and the sales that come with it. Is how this sale going, normal? The struggle for restock, the back orders, is that how it usually goes, or is this a weird sale? Just wanted to know because this is my first arrow sale.
What's going on with the pre-orders for the film on their site? I placed mine at the end of May and it still hasn't been dispatched. I've noticed a few others mentioning this on blu-ray.com, and now it's showing as out of stock. Does anyone know if there will be a restock? What's the situation with your orders, guys?
This astonishing 4k release from Arrow got me thinking- is this the scariest vampire movie of all time??
Greetings, everyone!
Quick question: who owns Arrow's release of Pulse? Is it worth it? I've been debating on whether or not to buy it, and I've had it in my cart for a while. I love the movie but trying to save money lately. The release is also nearly 10 years old and I'm wondering if they'll upgrade to 4K at some point.
What would you consider to be some of Arrows “Holy Grail” releases? It seems from what I can Tell Robocop seems to be the most sought after release? Is there some I may be missing? Demons 1&2, Phenomena/Creepers, Tenebrae, Dark City?
Go get em! Just got Robocop, The Mask, Tremors and Falling Down.
I ordered the Stranger Things 4K set months ago. When it didn’t arrive on the expected delivery date, I waited two more days. The tracking still showed no updates, so I contacted arrow customer service. They told me the package had been lost in transit.
I later found the same set on Amazon for a lower price, so I asked them to cancel the order and issue a refund, which they did. However, the original package has now just arrived.
What should I do?
I live in the US and here the 4K was released by Paramount but I see that the UK 4K was by Arrow. The Arrow one costs almost twice as much as the Paramount one so if they are the exact same transfer and quality I will just get the Paramount one. Is the Arrow one superior or is it the same?
I usually like to find my blu rays/ DVDs in the wild (Goodwill, Thrift Store) but the True Romance Arrow Video release would be a difficult (if ever) find. Also every time I find a copy of Deathproof in the wild either the disc is missing or it looks like Wolverine used it as a frisbee scratched to hell.
Not as huge as others but mine
I’m relatively new to Arrow video. I’ve known of them and bought a movie here and there but never really looked into their entire collection. And have since been adding to the collection. Here is a shot of my collection.
It’s mostly J-Horror with some outliers. Jackie Chan’s breakout hits has been ordered and I’m awaiting shipping from Barnes & Noble.
Some titles I plan on getting eventually:
The Warriors 4k
One Missed Call Trilogy
Battle Royale 4k
The Man With No Name trilogy in 4k
Trophy 4k
To name a few.
I hope they re-release Killer Clowns From Outer Space. Would love that one.
I'm curious others thoughts on this. I have purchased Arrow from the US and UK and have been very impressed by the selection and pricing of the UK store but very underwhelmed by the selection of the US store. I am a gen z 26 year old so that might be it but so many new arrow us releases underwhelm me in quality compared to the Arrow UK store. More importantly pricing is so different, I got both Hard Boiled & The Killer 4k Limited Editions from Arrow UK for 30 Euros each or $35 US. That is basically Barnes and Noble 50% off sale pricing as standard and Arrow UK often runs a 2 for 40 on 4K. Would love to hear thoughts on your feeling towards the US vs UK pricing and offerings.
