Gift ideas

I'm planning to gift the girl that I'm dating a set of paints for her birthday. From what I know she usually uses oil and acrylic. Can you guys pls recommend what brands are good, and easily available like madali makita online or sa mall? Really don't have any idea kung ano mga magandang brands when it comes to art materials. Thank you!!

Who’s who in Philippine arts (Painting)

I recently got interested to collect and have paintings for two reasons: (1) I have white walls that need to be decorated (2) looking at paintings as an investment (that will appreciate).

I had gone thru the art galleries sa malls. But damn most of the paintings looked the same.

The only one that really stood out for me are works of Manuel Baldemor.

I like his paintings but I have to really really really really really work hard to afford them.

My questions are

  1. Apart from Manuel Baldemor, are there any other artists worth looking at? That might appreciate in value and that they are unique?

  2. Are there upcoming artists that are also good to collect their arts?

  3. Where would be best to look at these paintings physically?

Thanks!!

What are the art movements of the Philippines?

We grew up learning about European art movements: renaissance, baroque, expressionism, impressionism, etc.. I wonder if we have our own set of historical art movements.

Are there books, essays, etc. on this topic?

Okay lang ba mag-post ng art or sticker prints sa walls or poste?

Hello,

I just wanted to make sure because I want to promote my page rin sa ga'nong paraan and want to start na nag-post dito sa subdivision namin. Thank you so much!

ALSO: what are the other effective ways for your art profile to be seen?

Art con inventory

Hi! It's my first time as an artist merchant at a Patrons of the arts event. I have no idea on how many pieces of art prints and stickers I should make. So I'm wondering now, to those who've tabled at cons-- how many pieces of goods do u guys usually allot?

What I'm currently doing is:

Art prints - 4 pcs per illustration/ 6 pcs for fan art

Stickers - 5 pcs per design (i drew a whole lot tho like 30+ sticker art)

I know POTA is 2 days so I have to allot goods for each day, but I'm also worried that I might produce too much (it would be such a waste!)

If i could just get some insights 🥹 thank you po!

Good day po, what kind of medium and art style is profitable sa Pilipinas?

I've been thinking about doing sum art commissions, but I'm still in a dilemma what kind of art style and medium I should do.

I'm considering charcoal (for portrait sketches, because I find portrait drawing easy, but my shading sucks lol), ballpen (also for portrait sketches, but most likely hindi ito viable). I thought about doing anime style dati pa, but I kind of forgot how to draw anime. You may also dm me if you want to see some of my personal sketches and let me know what you think of it

I will accept any suggestions po^^ ty

Suggest some Forgotten arts in the Philippines

Hello everyone, trying to look for an art (this could be any form not just painting) that are now forgotten or little by little is forgotten. Or Arts that are not too obvious that it's art because we see it in a daily basis.

Your suggestions would be very helpful!

First try at gesture drawing, how'd I do?

i know chicken scratching is such a bad habit, sorry haha, sanay lang. I'm trying to learn gesture drawing for both better anatomy and more confidence in my strokes sa pencil sketches and even sa lineart.
