For some reason this dedicated tik tok announcing the baby rubbed me the wrong way. Aj wrote a lot about the story behind the baby’s name but gave no credit to his wife for birthing him? Am I reading too much into it?
idk if yall know this guy called thien, but it might be a bit niche compared to the other mainstream asian american tiktokers here, not the one who records his little brother (hes so sweet) but the thien with the multiple accounts and he does looksmaxxing and all his humor revolves around femboys and yaoi??? what do u guys think about him? im yet to see another person who actually finds him quite annoying, not to mention the fact he compliment fishes so much while talking about insecurities, and its obvious hes obsessed with his own face. Hes young and his content is kinda concerning for that age (not sure how old). But hes under some controversies on tiktok now.
What is yalls opinion on him?
She is spreading this thin and dragging this because she isn’t getting enough attention these days. Not to mention she’s with a new man now. I feel bad for Joanna but some of you guys aren’t ready for that conversation
I remember her from her highschool vlog and she even had a video on her nosejob which all has been archived now
Basically the title.
She was invited to the Calvin Klein x Jung Kook pop-up event in Los Angeles. Based on this thread, it seems she was given unlimited purchasing privileges.
But it turns out her fiancé (and probably her too) was buying items to resell at much higher prices. People were able to figure this out because he used the same photos on Facebook and Mercari under his real name.
I’ve always wondered what she does for work besides influencing
Any other teas about her?
Kelly Kim always said that NYU was her dream school, but in my opinion, it did not seem like she prepared that seriously during high school. Even if someone lacks strong academic ability, many students still receive support from their families through tutoring, SAT/ACT prep, and college essay help, but it did not seem like she had much of that either. In one video where she talked about preparing for the ACT and SAT, she even said she would rather buy a new camera than spend money on those things.
At this point, I honestly become curious about Kelly Kim’s parents. It feels like they were not very involved in her academics or supportive of her educational goals during her student years, which seems somewhat unusual from a Korean perspective.
Cuz of course full Asian kids aren’t capable of being cute or anything.. /s
So Patrick Ta recently announced his “transition blushes” and it basically propagates how you can improve your blush look by using these products for a seamless transition.
A lot of MU enthusiasts are calling it out as it is overconsumption in this economy and that it’s just a way for people to buy more blushes.
Since influencers are now paid to push the product, I’ve seen some comments on Judy Lim’s video. Most comments were pointing out how she educated her viewers in techniques etc in improving blush technique and also using more sheer blushes if layering (because who needs 4 layers of blush in this economy… again). But the money is more important because her responses to the comments are quite defensive.
Also, she promoted the product by applying her blush in a crappy way. Haha.
On a personal note, she always gave me off vibes. It’s not like she’s creating new looks or something.
I noticed today on Instagram all the more well known influencers I know who worked at Meta were impacted by the layoffs this time including @adenwang. I’m curious if they were specifically targeted because Meta doesn’t want their employees to have content creation as another stream of income or just pure coincidence?
This post is for discussion and commentary. It includes my own opinions as well as publicly available content and comments from TikTok and Reddit users. Content includes unverified opinions and should not be treated as fact.
_kjy04 has posted tenz exclusively and both have exclusive access to each other’s private accounts
there is no evidence of kyedae cheating
tenz has also commented on this allegation
am i missing sth? why are the comments against kyedae still so nasty?
The more these posts keep popping up, the more they prove why the Wasian meetup existed in the first place. Flat out saying mixed Asian kids came from Asian fetishization is gross. Then you look at the comments bashing Wasians and captions like “do you want a medal for the W in Wasian?” No… they want to feel accepted. Posts like this are just creating an even bigger divide in our community.
I noticed recently there’s an increase of bodychecking in Christine’s videos. I remember she used to just post regular gym content and work vlogs about product design. I also find it weird that instead of just wearing regular gym outfits and posing in front of the mirror, she purposely lifts up all her tops in each video to show even her underboobs. Then she makes videos complaining how TikTok keeps flagging her video as inappropriate 😅.
I noticed it’s not just her but also influencers like Briddy Li and lisahwangg. Is it because they are trying to drive views or get more male audiences?
😭😭 does she mean dilemma? She’s also getting more and more whiney and I can’t stand her TikToks anymore..
Y'all know damn well that out of 3700 Wasians in that meetup, most of them have a White dad and Asian mom. Like 80 percent is my guess.
Both White men and Asian women from Gen X to certain Gen Z have looked down on Asian men. They literally treat them as the symbol of "Chinese, Japanese, and Korean men are backwards and monolithic, and my White man makes me feel the opposite: outspoken, kind, etc."
Many Asian women see this as a trophy of achievement and a status symbol. They automatically assume that if they have kids with White men, those kids are gonna be beautiful by default. Not only that, those who can afford IVF will always choose White male sperm by default.
Many of these Asian moms, if they have Wasian daughters, instill the same mentality. That "no dating Asian men" policy. They exclusively warn them about not dating Asian men and only going for White men.
My Asian guy friends and Wasians have told me about these experiences, so yeah, it does feel like it is centering whiteness and symbolizing White male superiority.
She is so mean and off putting. This tiktok came up of her doing a full face of makeup up tutorial but starts off by her aggressively saying she can teach anyone anything and that if you don’t know how to do a proper full face of makeup, it’s sad and “concerning”.
I don’t know who likes her mean girl schtick, but it makes her very ugly.
What’s even sadder is she got popular from her series about having no friends, and being relatable for girls who were lonely. Only to turn into the type of girl who make lonely girls feel bad about themselves. How are you going to make a diary series about loving yourself and your inner beauty and then tell your audience their priority should be to have good makeup technique???
Honestly though, it’s sooo obvious now why she didn’t have friends in the past. She would blame it on not being cute/aesthetic and say her old friends were fake but clearly people were not attracted to her as a friend because she’s rude and selfish.
