What is going on between bisexuals and lesbians?

Hey bisexuals! I’m relatively new to Reddit and I see a lot of comments about biphobia being a big issue in the lesbian community.
I’m a lesbian and in my circles I don’t see anything I would consider biphobia, just a preference to sometimes date another lesbian.

Now, the world is bigger than my own experiences and assumptions, so in an attempt to hear about your thoughts and feelings I am posting here. I’m hoping to have an open conversation in good faith and get a better understanding of what is going on :)

Future of the LGBT Movement

I'm a bi guy. If I put this wrong, please let me know. I'm trying to figure out how the LGBT movement and politics will change in light of demographics. Wiull out attentions shift to align with the population, will we stay mostly focused on the same issues, will it become even more internationally focused.

I want to acknowqledge that at this moment in time, our political and social energy need to help trans people, especially trans women. All other discussions around politics and movementy building are in addition, not instead of, trans safety and protections.

Now. It's pretty well known that bi people make up most of the LGBT:

It is also commonly understood that bi people often just happen to be in relationships with members of the opposite sex:

A new bit of information for me is that a primary source f homophobia for bi women are the cishet male partners.

So will this change how LGBT spaces look and function? If 25-50% of the people in the movement won't be affected by needing marriage equality, will maintaining those protections (in the US) become less important? What will become the primary issues of the LGBT over the next decade?

Will there be a better sense ofd assimilation with cishet society as LGBT spaces begin to look more and more similar?

Trying to get a vibe on what folks imagine a newer LGBT now that more and more bi people are coming out, at least coming out in queer spaces.
