concerns about watching be brave be you asmr [discussion]

i’ve been watching be brave be you asmr for a few years and i’ve recently decided to move over and follow her on instagram. i’ve unfortunately noticed that she is following donald trump and essentially every account associated with any member of his family and organizations. this deeply saddens me and also brings up some concerns seeing as she isn’t even from the US? has anyone else noticed any of this behavior in her past? i’m really hoping maybe she was bought as a follower but seeing as how many accounts it is i find it hard to believe…does anyone have any thoughts or insight on this? i really don’t want to support someone that doesn’t support other groups as a whole.

edit: i’ve just seen that she’s reposted something calling out those in the epstein files??? i’m very confused by all of this contradicting information.

[Meta] Any/All ASMRtists, current or new, please stop filming videos off of your phone in HDR. It makes it unbearably and uncontrollably bright on devices watching with an HDR screen. Thanks.

I am a daily watcher.

I am finding a lot of the smaller creators I enjoy have their video settings using HDR.

For anyone that sees this, please turn this off.

It makes videos played back in HDR capable mobile devices play the video with an unbearable and uncontrollable level of brightness.

YouTube does not allow you to disable HDR playback either.

If you see this and disable HDR filming, my eyes and thank you.

Looking for a older asmrtist [discussion]

So there is an asmrtist whomI remember finding in like 2014 ish, a male, seemingly gay (lisp, often wore lipgloss,) and had short, dark hair, brown eyes, and had a slightly olive complexion. Haven't seen any of their vids pop up in a grip. TIA!

Where can I promote my content? I'm not making any progress. [Discussion]

My channel is new. I know I shouldn't be impatient, but I don't see my subscriber numbers growing. I spend hours recording, days editing... hours on thumbnails. Should I forget about this channel and start another one in a different niche? I'm a communications professional. YouTube is a way for me to use what I learned at university. Due to political issues, I didn't have the opportunity to work in my country. YouTube is a means of communication, which is why I like it so much. I spent years thinking about starting a channel. Now that I have it, I'm just disappointed that I've invested so many hours and what I do doesn't seem to be good enough to compete in my saturated niche. I made a TikTok account and I barely have any followers. I made a Pinterest account and it hasn't helped either. The channel is a month and three weeks old.

who remembers this male ASMRtist [discussion]

this was back in the very first begginnings of ASMR in youtube, he was one of the rare male asmrtists at the time. I've been looking for his videos for so long but I think they're deleted. He was in his late 20/early 30s, handsome dude with caucasian features but a very tan complexion like a Sicilian, striking green eyes, facial hair, beard, and he used to wear shirts where his chest hair was peaking ( lol sorry if this description is weird im just trying to give as much details as possible if someone knows his name). He used to do very calming vids, where he would relax the viewers with gentle and slow ASMR, i remember several videos where he was sitting cross-legged

[Request] can you help me find a really old video?

I’m talking predating the term ASMR entirely old, it was pretty much my introduction to any kind of soft spoken relaxation type content and for the last week I’ve been trying so hard to find it again but no amount of googling or employment of the way back machine has helped me so as a long shot I’ll ask you all. I don’t think it was necessarily a popular video so it’s likely maybe no one who sees this post will have also seen the video especially considering how old it is (over a decade old I think)

Idk what specific details will help to find it so I’m just going to ramble about the content of the videos best as I can remember and hope that works I guess; it opens to gentle guitar music(iirc the video creator played the guitar themselves) and from the listener’s pov. They are in a woodland setting with definite fantasy vibes and eventually a strange hooded woman appears and begins speaking to listener. After some discussion the woman learns listener is suffering from some unknown malady and offers to assist. While trying to diagnose malady the woman inspects listeners scalp (sneakily stealing some hair at some point) and inspects inside listeners ear. While inspecting listeners ears the camera pov shifts for a short time seemingly to the viewpoint of the woman looking into the ears. While all of this is happening at random intervals what appear to be translucent paper lanterns will appear in our vision and converse in hushed whispers with the woman offering her advice, tho the woman seems to almost sort of resent their aid. Eventually listeners malady is discovered to be heartbreak, and from here what’s left of the video is lost to me as I would definitely be most likely asleep by now lol.

I know it’s a long shot but if this jogs anyone’s memory I’d greatly appreciate it because I’ve been DYING to find this video again.

[Request] is there ANY ear massaging video the DOESN’T have cupping?

I’m just so sick and tired of it. I want a massage, not just cupping and rubbing your palms up and down.

PLEASE give me video suggestions that are ear massages with 3dio (or any other ear microphone) without cupping or just rubbing their palms over the mic, has actual massaging movements and variety.

Preferably doesn’t focus on one ear and switches even for just a few seconds, idk i think i have ocd it pmo lol

Thank you in advance! :D

Rain on a dark forest window has become my favorite background for sleeping 🌧️🌲

I've always found it difficult to quiet my mind before bed, so I started creating long ambient videos with natural sounds.

This one is simply 10 hours of gentle rain falling against a window overlooking a dark forest. No music, no talking—just steady rain and a peaceful atmosphere.

I made it mainly because I couldn't find exactly the kind of ambience I wanted for reading, meditation, or falling asleep.

If anyone here enjoys calming rain sounds, I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts on whether it feels relaxing enough or if there's anything you'd improve.

Thanks, and I hope you have a peaceful day. 🌧️🍃

I've got a question for people who enjoy spoken ASMR 😊[Discussion]

I recently started experimenting with whispered/spoken ASMR. My native languages are Italian and German, so English is actually my third language. 😅

Because of that, my pronunciation and accent definitely aren't perfect. I'm working on improving them, but I was wondering... does a non-native English accent take you out of the experience, or do you not really mind as long as the voice and triggers are relaxing? 🤔💙

I'd love to hear your honest opinion! Thanks everyone ❤️✨

New to making lesbian ASMR [discussion]

Hi! I’m really interested in making lesbian focused asmr content. Somethin for women by a women to help them feel pretty and safe. Nothing too explicit but flirty and suggestive maybe? Idk this is what I’m struggling with. I turned to twitter and it’s all moaning audios that anyone cares about. I’m only using my voice and talking, no trigger sounds or tapping. Would people even be interested in listening to very short form like 2-3 min audios of someone saying sweet things to them? Or should it probably be an hour long like the ones I see on YouTube? I made one audio already and would love some feedback or direction or just any advice on how it sounds and if I’m achieving anything at all with it. I can post the link if anyone would be interested in listening (not sure if that’s allowed here, I’m not a big Reddit poster)

[DISCUSSION] Weird ASMR comments and subs how to deal with it?

I recently just created an ASMR account like very recently, I only have 2 videos up. My first video seems to not be doing bad I have 700 views and 30ish likes but with that, there have been weird comments from men, and men who subscribe who have who their subscribed to public and it’s a bunch of ASMR fetish content like for example a girl had a video titled “hair wash asmr, in this video I’m not wearing any 👙”. My question is how do I loose this attraction when I’ve been making normal asmr videos, I checked my analytics and my demographic is mostly men which tbh I don’t want if it’s men like this. Is this just something to deal with? Thanks!

[Discussion] Do you prefer ASMR with talking or no talking?

Hi everyone!😚

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you prefer ASMR videos where someone gently speaks and guides you, or do you enjoy the ones with no talking at all? I’m asking because I really want to explore the listener’s experience and keep improving my videos—your input will help me do that!❤️

[Discussion] An old ASMR artist on youtube i want to find]

A few years ago, perhaps 2022-2023, i used to be obsessed with this one ASMR channel.

I’m pretty sure the channel’s name was ROT, and that it was a Canadian channel. Also pretty sure that he’s active on X, but i cant find him nonetheless, nor can i find anything about them anywhere.

Any thoughts?

I'm a new account but not doing very well on growing my channel, any advice? [Discussion]

Hi all!

I'm started my asmr channel a couple months back and have been consistent with getting 2 videos out a week, but i'm not seeing a good growth on my channel. Maybe i'm being too picky and its supposed to be lower in your first months. But i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong.

My channel is https://www.youtube.com/@hayleighsasmr - hayleigh's asmr

Let me know, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

ASMR triggers that are annoying [Discussion]

Watching ASMR is supposed to be relaxing. Watching someone tap or scratch something repeatedly is anxiety inducing and is incredibly annoying. Also fast aggressive is not calming or relaxing whatsoever and can cause severe anxiety. When I first started watching ASMR it was soft spoken whispering and people weren't banging items together that's called loud, obnoxious and annoying. I think someone started tapping and scratching things as a prank and people took it literal for some reason
