First AP - 15720

Picked up my first AP this past Friday. Had gone into the Boston boutique several months ago and wasn’t so keen on the chunka chunks available to me. One of the advisors was talking about and had pics of a turquoise one they had just sold to another client. I fell in love immediately. Kept in touch with them and got the text and ran over almost immediately.

I have a dainty 6.75-7” wrist but I feel like it sits and wears well. Can’t stop looking at it 😍😍.

Funny bit - I have geeked out about watches for a long time but just started building a collection over the last six months or so. I had a Tudor Coke and a Longines Conquest deliver the same day and had shared with the SA. Towards the end I asked about the process further allocations (15510) and he just laughed and told me I need to slow down.

AP OEM strap reference number

I deleted my original post as I wasn’t clear on what I was looking for. Can anyone provide a reference number for this AP OEM strap? Fits 42mm ROO.

Didn’t realize how intricate the Grande Tapisserie pattern was until I took these macro shots. Every square catches the light differently depending on the angle. What’s your favorite AP dial pattern — Grande or Petite Tapisserie?

Rubber Straps - Summer Edition

In the hot summer months I find that rubber straps offer the best comfort and wearing experience. I don’t understand why more brands don’t offer a simple easy switch system to allow owners of sport watches to easily change different types of bracelets / straps to suit different situations. Do you agree and if so let’s see your wildest colors!

PS - Happy 250th birthday to US folks!

Is 15510 too big?

I have a Daytona and a GMT both are 40mm.. always loved it and they are perfect with my wrist size.

Pulled the trigger on a beautiful blue 15510 on Chronos. Now it arrived I feel it is oversized and therefore not as classy as I expected. I feel I should have gone a 37 or 39mm.

What is your take on the 15510 size?

It has begun…

Extremely happy to have recently purchased this new 2026 release. I’m a contractor (company owner) in some of the higher end areas where I live, so the ROO style actually fits my daily look and workplace nicely.

I started about a year ago with my SA and after a couple of offerings that weren’t in my interest, I expressed to her my heavy interest in this particular configuration and low and behold, a week later and here we are.

While I’ll probably wear this most of the time, there are obviously others in the wishing well.

So far my SA has basically said that a 77450st 34mm for my wife and a blue faced ROC or RO are doable as #2-3. What comes of that or after that I’m not really sure.

I’m not a whale and don’t have tourbillons or perps in my financial plans (for watches at least). But I think a classy RG RO with blue face would be a great addition or even the black ceramic ROC to round out the collection. Who knows where this will go.

Thanks for reading….

Chicago Boutique closed we need a new boutique

My wife wants a light blue Royal Oak with diamonds in 37. We live in Michigan so Chicago was the obvious choice but with them closed we need a new boutique.

We're willing to buy an overseas diver to help grease the skids but we're not sure if there's a "better" store to make this request to. Dallas, Atlanta. Miami. Boston, NYC are all 1 flight away so we have no strong preference. Any recommendations or suggestions against boutiques that people have strong opinions on would be greatly appreciated.
