Second AP in 2 months

Second AP in 2 months

I went in to visit my SA at the AP House to chat about a Royal Oak 34mm for my wife. He told us that we will get it as soon as they get one. Sometime after the summer break. This was supposed to be our second AP purchase.

While there, I asked about a code for me. I buy watches that I like and wear, not highly collectible ones with resale value, and I happened to love everything about the Code. I was thinking Starwheel, but was not sure, since I never saw one in person.

The SA showed me the Starwheel in white gold. I do not believe in white gold as a concept. Personally, paying for a gold watch that looks like steel and scratches like 18k gold is not for me. The pink gold is not my aesthetic. So I asked so see what else he can show me.

He brought out this beauty. I tried it on, but what threw me off was the original strap it came on. It looked unfinished. So he swapped it out for a black mat alligator, and that was it for me. It became a must have!

I asked the SA how long I have to wait to get one, and just like my first purchase (ROO) two month ago, once again I was told I can have it today! I love this SA, this AP house, and the brand. For the second time in a row, I fell in love with a watch, and was able to buy it right there and then. My wife’s RO will take some time, but we are not in a hurry, because 2 APs in 2 months are not easy on a bank account.

Owners review of 2026 Offshore Diver

(Apologies for a slightly long summary - in short I love how much fun it is)

I picked up the new 2026 turquoise Offshore Diver earlier this year, and after wearing it on various holidays it has quickly become my go-to summer watch.

I initially thought I wanted the teal version. It is more versatile and conservative, or at least as conservative as an Offshore gets. But seeing them in real life changed my mind. The turquoise version simply made me smile more.
The colour combination is what makes it. AP uses a black Méga Tapisserie dial with turquoise accents and a matching rubber strap, rather than making the entire watch turquoise. It is unmistakably bold, but still recognisably an Offshore rather than a novelty piece.

Photographs don’t quite capture what happens when sunlight hits the bezel. The brushed steel catches along the polished edges, the turquoise comes alive and the whole watch changes character. Around a pool or against the sea, it looks ridiculous in the best possible way.

At 42mm, it is chunky and relatively heavy, particularly compared with a titanium Offshore, but not enough to make it uncomfortable. The extra-wide rubber strap distributes the weight well and keeps it firmly planted on the wrist. I’ve worn it all day and taken it diving in the sea without any issues.

AP House also added a black rubber strap for me. It makes the watch feel tougher, more restrained and considerably easier to wear in different scenarios, but the turquoise strap is its real identity and the reason I bought it.

I wouldn’t recommend it as someone’s one and only watch. The colour, size and presence make it too specialised for that. Within a balanced collection, though, that limitation becomes its strength. It doesn’t need to work at business meetings, formal dinners or throughout winter - other watches can do those jobs.

This one is fun, distinctive and completely different from everything else in the box. It is bright, slightly excessive, impossible not to notice when the sun catches it and most of all, it makes me smile each time I put it on.

There’s also a nice review of it here: https://youtu.be/BhjBge_uAuQ?is=fxmjpKyKWzfYyrnG

Paired for dinner

I can never seem to snap a good pic of the RO dial but the light worked this time around.

New Offshore Allocation

Am thinking about this new offshore as my next allocation, but haven’t actually handled one in person yet. Anyone have experience with this watch yet? Looks amazing from pictures and for some reason has really drawn me in - curious to hear any ownership views or simply from those that have tried it on.

I have one other offshore currently - a blue diver - and love it.

Thinking of trading my 25721ST

Hey everyone, P.S : I used AI for this, as English is not my first language

I’m reaching out to get some perspective from fellow collectors.

I own an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Ref. 25721ST (the original "Beast"). Visually and historically, I love the watch. It’s an absolute icon of 90s design and has tremendous presence. However, in day-to-day reality, it’s just too thick and heavy on the wrist for me to wear comfortably with any real frequency. It ends up sitting in the safe far more than it should.

I’m seriously considering trading it toward something high-end that delivers great design and presence, but in a much more wearable, lighter, or slimmer package.

A few details on what I'm looking for:

\* \*\*Comfort & Wearability:\*\* Ideal case size around 37mm–40mm, with a reasonable case thickness.
\* \*\*Open to Options:\*\* Happy to consider integrated bracelet sports watches, solid dress/sports hybrids, or even lighter metals/materials (titanium, precious metal on rubber/leather, etc.).
\* \*\*Value Range:\*\* Looking at something in a similar secondary-market value bracket or open to slightly trading up/down depending on the piece.

For those who have transitioned away from heavier/chunky pieces like the Offshore, what did you move to that hit the sweet spot for comfort?

Appreciate any suggestions or pictures of your daily drivers!

Fair price for 6007st

Hi guys. There are hardly any 6007st on the market, so it’s hard to compare. What would you consider fair value? Good condition, no box, no papers.

I want to buy a Royal Oak

So I have never owned a luxury watch because I wanted to make it first and treat myself as a symbol of my success.

Well, now it's closer to that time. My business is slowly taking off, and I can comfortably afford one.

How do people buy one? By the consensus in here, it's pretty impossible for someone like me to buy one unless it's after market.

Is there a good way to get my first one? I would like to buy new.

How does the condition of this 15400 look for 2018 model?

Hi all,

New to the thread here and my first post so apologies if it’s not the best format! Would you say it’s a good condition piece for its age to pull the trigger?

Comes with all links, box, card (2018 so they switched from booklet to card). Can I register it on AP website if I’m probably going to be the second owner. The settled price was 44K, is that a good price?

Buying first AP

Hello everyone
At the moment I only got Rolexes, but never bought at an AD, always grey market.

Since I would like to buy an AP, how hard is it to get such a watch from the AD when you’re young ? 26 years old. Is it the same process as Rolex ?

Thank you everyone !!:)

Question for 5+ AP collection

Do you still buy more watches after you’ve had one or more of each collection and each metal? I’ve found myself not being as interested anymore at all and was wondering what you all do? Did you sell a few and then buy newer ones with new / different faces? Curious to know where your collection stands.
