r/autocorrect

Basically to put it shortly, I saw a post under frozen. People thinking elsa will be lesbian for frozen 3. So I put 'i personally think elsa is aroace.' Autocorrect took one look at that and said 'hmmm. I think they meant aroused instead of AROACE.' so I deleted my entire account and made a new one cuz I aint dealing with the embarrassment of trying to explain what happened.

edit: this was meant for people to LAUGH at my actions, not to get all mad over it and start arguing. if your adults? shame on you. you should feel shame. what permitted you to start all acting like complete and utter assholes at your UNGODLY age?​ actually while im at it, may I say, if this is your coping mechanism? do better. You might need a therapist yourself like I got.

I timed myself yesterday out of curiosity and I apparently spend a

genuinely stupid amount of my day re-fixing things I just pasted.

Mine:

- Copy a table off a webpage → paste into Numbers → one long column

of mush. I redo it by hand every time.

- Anything → Slack, and it arrives in whatever font the source used.

- Copy text out of an email → every line breaks in a random place.

I've just accepted all of these as how computers are.

Curious what everyone else's is:

1. Which app do you copy FROM and paste INTO?

2. What breaks?

3. Have you actually fixed it somehow, or do you just redo it manually?

Mostly interested in #3 — I have a feeling most of us have never even

looked for a solution.

idk theres not rules against it but yet again i see stuff removed for swears 😭
