What’s up yall. I’m putting together a heavy, 100-cap local rave at Trilogy Studios out in Burke (near GMU) on September 11.
The goal is to build a proper, intimate underground room outside the city. I’m anchoring the night with a dark industrial, hard techno, and heavy bass set.
Since we are building this from the ground up for the local community, I want to know what you guys are actually looking for in a small underground style rave.

My cousin initiated I come along, me saying I need to experience raves. This is going to be my first time going, so some tips would be helpful if that’s alright. But nevertheless, anyone here is going? Thanks!

My DJ friend rezkaL is doing a show on the same day as the Diplo block party. We want to support the other artists that day but once Diplo takes stage want folks to #DipOutforDiplo.

On top of his SA allegations, he also boasts about using AI for his music. We want to do an afters show at a spot in Adams Morgan right next door to pitchers at deathpunch and raise money for survivor groups. Bass, Trap, House and All!!

This venue is not usually known for raves. So any tips to get this event on radiate or elevating a venue to be rave worthy would be appreciated!

So I stumbled onto DJ Nobu @ Transmission a lil while ago and got my wig blown off. Been looking for folks with his deep, hypnotic, psychedelic vibe ever since--btw, do yourself a favor and check out his set at Coda|Ratherlost x Pax-Romana ADE 2024.

Ended going down a few rat holes and I'm seeing good things about Chop Shop afters and the kind of DJ's they bring in. Im curious what the vibe is like there compared to Flash. It looks like they run their lights even darker than Flash which is hard for me to believe but sounds dope. I def dig being able to get into my zone in a dark room ALOT more these days....

I love the concept of no phones, but haven’t been. Any upcoming shows there that y’all would recommend?

Thinking about hitting Deep Dish next Saturday. The last MARC train leaves at 10:55pm for me to get home. I want to make sure getting an uber goes smooth so I don’t have to leave to early.

Do the Ubers pick you up inside/outside of the gates?
Have you had problems with Ubers in general just finding the venue?

I went and saw Deorro and Bolo the DJ last night at echostage. It was a time to be had, a great first rave. We were kinda in the back and y’all three brought me into your group and made me feel so welcomed in a space I felt so out of place in. The lady in the group had the tanjiro earrings and the best vibe! Thank y’all for a great night! If you remember dancing with the Moreno in the white shirt all night please reach out! I would love to go to more raves with y’all!

If either of you see this, I'd love to be friends! I was a little bummed I didn't get to catch you guys later on in the show before ya'll presumably split. You both made me feel so welcome at my first ever dnb show! I'll remember it fondly in part because of you both. Thank you for being apart of what made it special!

I was so hype to hear they’re doing another one, as I missed the last one to go to sprung at Bertha instead, but the line out just came out. I’m disappointed to say at the very least. Idk what I expected honestly, but I cannot in good faith support someone with SA allegations, who also admittedly uses AI for their production instead of hiring real vocal artists. I guess this is my sign that it’s not meant to be, unless anyone recommends seeing the other artists.

Heard it took over an hour to get drinks at the last one, and that the crowd was not great last time, which honestly I’d totally expect, but I did want to experience it at least once. Oh well.

Diplo is a predator who posts revenge porn and knowingly exposed women to STDs without their knowledge. Jack Ü went from the biggest thing in the world to skrillex ignoring him for a reason.

It’s so disappointing Glow platforms this monster. Was really looking forward to this event and now I’m not going.

This used to be my favorite place to go for so long and now it’s just become underwhelming.

It feels like the djs don’t go hard anymore and it’s geniunely the same song for most of the night, especially the top floor.

It’s one of the reasons I don’t like Sunday Love, they just don’t make it live until it get’s closer to the night. But even on weekends (Friday & Saturday), I could go downstairs for an hour, come back up and it’s the same chill beat. Let’s go a little harder.

The djs on the club level haven’t had the best song choices as of late either

I’m a solo new to raves. I liked Echostage and wanted to see if there’s anyone that goes or gets a table often that has room for one more. I pay my part of course and then some, just like for everyone to have a good time

So, Im trying to decide where to go this Friday and have it narrowed down to these two. I don't much about Mark but he seems to be old school, jazzy, house kinda vibe and draws an older crowd. Youtube vids seem pretty cool. Tickets are at the last phase.

Les Play House at Transmission seems like it'll be dope show but I'm a little hesitant because tickets don't seem to be moving...

Appreciate any thoughts on who you would check out between the two and WHY...

Does Vera hard stop at 3am à la Echostage or does it push later if there’s a crowd?
