Going to Ahee at the Avalon on Friday 😛 I’ve never been to that venue, what’s the dress code vibe? Like cheeks out ravewear or something more tame

I’ve noticed the festival giants like Insomniac are increasingly using more and more AI. Some of it is frighteningly realistic, but some of it looks like total garbage. It really feels like using Gen AI goes against everything I was taught about the rave scene and PLURR. I’m sorry it just rly chaps my ass and I gotta get it off my chest.

Aren’t they like… a huge company? Can’t they hire real artists with actual talent to make real art instead of this weird, cooked, robot garbage? Do they even care about art anymore???

I’m at a point I just can’t justify buying tickets for their shows anymore, they just aren’t the same anymore, and it feels like they’re removing themselves from real rave culture and focusing on commodifying for profit. People have been saying this but I guess the illusion finally broke for me and I’m just rly messed up about it.

Like, idk how to do graphic design or any of that, but literally anyone can google how awful Gen AI is. It’s literal opposite of PLURR in every single way possible!!

Less corporate craappp, more undergrounds for me moving forward. Love you fam.
