I'm in town til the 13th. If Chris Stussy is my favorite DJ can y'all suggest any places for me to go dancing?
Thanks!
Thanks!
My last rave was 25 years ago. People swore the Midway block parties were rave-y so I went in expecting that vibe.
It was just a giant outdoor club. Very little danced. Hundreds of people standing like statues staring at the stage.
And every interaction was weirdly sexual? I’d make a casual comments to lot of guys and they act like I was hitting on them. I was in sweats. Said comments to several women and they were snooty. Lots of people just kept to themselves.
At a rave you dance and feed off the energy around you. Here it was dead. Not a lot of dancing, no socializing, just phones and staring.
Was it wrong to have expected rave vibes at the block party? Or just sit my old ass at home 🤣I’d
Just a heads-up for anyone planning to attend tomorrow's Stern Grove show.
From what I've been hearing, it sounds like more tickets may have been released than the venue can ultimately accommodate. If attendance reaches capacity, the venue may switch to a 1-in, 1-out policy, meaning guests will only be admitted as others leave.
If that happens, there's a possibility you may not get in—even if you have a ticket.
If you want to avoid that risk, I'd strongly recommend arriving before 2:00 PM. Getting there early is probably your best chance of making sure you get inside.
Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I figured it was worth giving everyone a heads-up so you can plan accordingly.

Fired up for some long gone Norwegian Space Disco. But, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a club dj set.
What time will Terje’s set time be?
Thanks!
Anyone knows when Deadmau5 will play? Was planning to check out the fireworks at 9:30 near Golden Gate Bridge but don’t want to miss Deadmau5
Hope it is elderbrook!!
I’ve seen several people ask about the weather but haven’t seen a clear answer. Can anyone speak on how chilly it gets? Going tomorrow for Elderbrook and it’s my first time going to this venue.
I bought hard copy tickets to a show that I can’t go to anymore and are trying to gift them to a buddy but they are convinced that the tickets I got aren’t real. They googled if an event is selling hard copy tickets and google of course said Ticketmaster doesn’t sell hard copy tickets.
I’m trying to convince them that they only need a picture of the barcode to get in but they are very skeptical.
I’ve been selling and sending pictures of the ticket/ barcode for over a decade but they still aren’t convinced that they’ll be able to get in.
Any feedback, experience, or anything at this point to help convince them would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!
Is anyone going to slander on july 10? Going with one other person but we want to caltrain back home lol. Is it possible to make it on time or do you think we'd have to leave slander early to make it to 4th station? If anyone else is taking caltrain would love to take it back with you lollll
As always, be cautious when buying from people you don't know. Scammers are a real threat. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Always check the person's post history and account age before transacting with them. Using Paypal Goods & Services is highly recommended. Another option is to use CrowdVolt, an online way to buy and sell tickets at a fraction of the fees of other ticket marketplaces. Feel free to include a link to your ticket listing in your post.

I’m a late 30’s queer male. I like techno and have loved attending parties such as Endzeit, DTE, and Honey Soundsystem in the past. Went to Müll this past Saturday night hoping it might be the pride party for me and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. Maybe I’m just getting too old for this stuff?
The venue was alright, I liked the “maze” like atmosphere and some of the production details including the stage lighting.
I had a great time dancing upstairs for the first couple hours as the room filled up.
The heat upstairs was really the most troubling aspect about the party imo. It was pretty miserable up there after about 2am. I found I had to go through the maze to the patio every 30 minutes or so to cool down. Saw a few people in various states of distress later in the evening needing assistance. Thankfully they had water and NA beverages such as Gatorade available, that was a life line that kept me dancing a couple extra hours.
I feel like a bit of bitch for saying this, but I found the sound to be too loud. I have 1:1 custom ear protection that were in my ears all night long. Despite my best efforts to protect my hearing I still returned home with a massive amount of ringing that lasted for more than 24 hours after the event. It’s mostly dissipated now, but think I might have done some permanent damage on Saturday night. I’ve been to plenty in of loud shows, but this was a step beyond what I think patrons and staff should be exposed to.
Th music Upstairs was ok most of the night, but teetered on obnoxiously “hard” and lacking some of the subtly and groove that (i personally think) good techno needs. Downstairs was very Gen Z hyper pop hi-bpm stuff that just isn’t my cup of tea.
The crowd was ok, chattier than the Endzeit crowd I’ve become accustomed to. Saw multiple people taking pics and selfies despite the no phones rule. Disappointingly the crowd was less diverse than many other queer spaces I’ve been to in the bay.
I do feel that since this was a “Pride” event it had a bit of an amateur hour feeling in amongst the crowd. Lots of SF tech gays looking to have their “Berghain experience” but don’t regularly spend time in underground dance spaces.
I really wanted this party to bridge the gap left by the dissolution of HSS since the pandemic. It’s close but didn’t quite feel like the space for me. Curious what others thought about Müll on Saturday? How it might compare to other Müll parties? Maybe I just caught them on an off night at a new venue? Or do my thoughts align with what folks have experienced at other Müll parties?
Where you headed?

Moved here from Wisconsin recently. Looking for somewhere to jam. Techno/house etc. preferably something that stays open past 2. Any suggestions?
Ur music 🎶 soothing my soul ♡
Sidepiece are on my list of shows to watch but after my last traumatic debacle getting off Treasure Island after Chris Lorenzo I’m skeptical about going there again. Does anyone else share my fears?
Anyone know what the bag policy is and also how extensive their search policy is on entry? First time going. Cannot wait to dance my ass off to Honey Dijon!!!
