"they balance around the casuals" is a flawed argument

You guys probably saw the Clip where it took literally 3 minutes just for the first fight the end and some team capturing point. This should not exist"they balance around the casuals"argument really made some of the dumbest balance decisions come to life(looking at you self shield)and is a really flawed decision overall. Now i dont mean that we stopped listening casuals entirely because they are important and are a huge part of the community like ı also think BP should be kept weak because he is toxic.Low elo stompers are always a thing in games and some games also make them weak on purpose.

But i think what rivals is doing isnt healthy for the game there is a reason this game is known for shitty balancing.I think balancing for the casuals this much does not work because of many reasons.

First is it makes casuals not improve stuff like so much healing, survavability, too many escape options makes player not improve at the game.Dps players doesnt know how to take position, tank players doesnt use cover and took bullets head on, supports can get away with burning their important cooldowns because they can get away with this mistakes normally a support or dps should die if caught in a bad position but in rivals mistakes like this dont get punished so even some high Rank players doesnt know how to position well. There is lots off tank players who doesnt use cover because the absurd healing and support ults in this game make them not learn it by normally playing the game(and ı know damage is also high but healing is a lot higher just look at ow supports)

there is a reason you see champ cnd players who are shit because thats what happens when you give a character 3 immortalty cooldowns they never have the learn the basics of the game and this makes so dive dps has to be insane or they do not compete in this enviroment.ı know there is a lot off players who doesnt wanna get better and just wanna play the game but you shouldnt cater to them this much the casual player isnt passionate about your game like a top 5 percent player is.

I know they are a small percentage but there is a reason most games balance around them pro play and high ranks is a core part off your community casual players can come and go but your pro players stick with the game and many people also watch high Rank streamers and pro players and those people can get tired off this game when the balancing is this shit.

Like not nerfing mantis who has a 60 percent winrate across all ranks just because in the hand off casuals is insane.

Now i dont know if they think they can get more money this way but İ think a lot more people enjoy the game more if it had good balancing.Making casual players competitive players that care about the game seems like it would make more money(im not sure about the money part but it would be better for the community)you cant do that when for competitive you balancing is shit. l know ı will get a lot of hate for this but ı really think this would be for the betterment off the game.

TLDR:we shouldnt forget about casuals but we should be balancing around pro play more

Edit:guys i used the space bar sorry for the inreadeble text at the original post

Edit2:since yall fried my ass so much ı edited a second time i hope this version is readeble sorry for the og text yall

How is Katarina able to blink to me while mid air from my ult? Is this a bug or can champs like kat just do this?

Its at the end of the clip, watch carefully, Katarina goes airborne from azir R and then blinks from mid air.

SHURIMA WILL RISE AGAIN

Like, what happened to Azir? He suddenly becomes viable and doesn't feels insufferable to play. (Emerald gameplay)

Possible Caps Hall of Legends Azir skin?

It was announced Caps is joining Hall of Legends and Riot has been buffing Azir lately. Do you guys think it's possible those things could mean they're going to release a new skin for our emperor?

Masters!

Hi all,

Just hit Masters for the first time playing Azir! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave advice on this sub over the last year, it really did make a difference! If anyone wants any advice about things I learned during my climb (unless it is the lb matchup), please feel free to ask! I'd love to pay it forward! FOR SHURIMA

Azir Noob Theories

Hello Azir mains!

I'm a Garen OTP that reached masters first time this season and now i want a new challenge. I've been really curious about Azir top and been thinking about a rune setup that sounds kinda interesting, would love to hear your thoughts. This is the setup:

First strike, cash back, biscuit delivery, cosmic insight, presence of mind, alacrity, double adaptive scaling health. Flash TP

The premise is to get as many first strike procs as possible and get your items faster. Tested this out in a game and it looks a bit promising, got 1620 gold in a 32 minute game doing kind of averagey (it was lower elo). I need to test it more but would love to hear your thoughts and tips on learning this cool shuriman guy

how am i supossed to climb?

You can tell I'm stuck in Silver 3 or 2. I have 24k mastery points on Azir and play like an ADC most games. I never do flashy Shurima Shuffles, just playing to scale because my team never follows up. But man, I don't know if losers queue is a real thing or if I'm just so bad at this game. It gets to a point where I don't feel like I have any impact on the games. Everything feels determined by the matchmaking system, and 7 out of 10 games are just filled with inters that go 0/10 before 10 minutes. I really don't know how the hell I'm supposed to play this game if my team is so hard to play with. I mean, sure, I'm bad, but then how good do I need to be to, at the very least, have a 50% win rate? I try to do everything to carry: take down turrets, get triple kills, peel for my teammates, get objectives, and all that shit. But I can't split push if my team is so weak because I just get collapsed on alone. Do I need to 1v9 every fucking game? This feels so fucking frustrating. Now, when I lose, the game takes away more LP than it grants me when I win. I'm begging for some actual advice rather than 'skill issue bro'. My op.gg is Jysus #007 (btw, I'm sorry if my English is broken).

I feel bad for you guys

I never see azirs in my matches, and when I do they struggle to deal good damage even when full build let alone carry. They usually go neutral because most of them are otps (even otps cant stomp lane with this champ) but if they are not otp they usually int. Azir is a really interesting and unique design but becaus of fkin faker and pros you don't get to have fun with your main. Sorry guys.

Azir V Nocturne Ult

I'm trying to figure out if there is any specific tech here that I might be missing. I'm planning on going into a practice tool with my friend to test some stuff out, but I'm wondering if people might have already figured out the answer.

The problem: Nocturne ults in on you and is in the process of blowing you, a sad Azir main, up. His spell shield will make it impossible to get Azir ult off quickly, allowing him to potentially even get his full fear off let alone all of the auto's before then. The other problem is that his character model is basically inside of Azir, blocking any attempted shuffle to get away.

The only thing I have theoretically figured out is, if you have enough hp and ALL of your cd's, you could pre-place a guard on top of you when your screen goes black and q him the second his spell shield comes up. After that, you then ult him away. This strat is very tricky and inconsistent in my head because he could delay his spell shield or just kill you before your ult goes off.

What I imagine MIGHT be possible (this is what I'm asking for help for) is a way to walk/kite in reaction to the direction he's coming from that allows you to avoid his character model and get the dash off. Alternatively, if the nocturne ult speed is faster than Azir dash, I was thinking maybe dashing just before his ult touches you? I'm not sure if this will help with positioning yet or if he still just kills you. Idk, I'm kinda lost on this one.

Also, Zhonya's feels pretty useless. It's a massive CD for Nocturne's 20 second CD late game. So your surviving like 1/4 nocturne ults if your lucky. Even then, you likely just delay your death which is marginally helpful sometimes. I was also considering banshees veil to maybe block the initial ult damage in combination with the spell shield break + ult idea.

I know, low elo problem or whatever, but seriously. Other than flawlessly tracking him in the jungle (which depends a lot on your jng and support), I feel like the counterplay here is very tough and specifically bad for Azir. Any thoughts?

AZIR Just Got Buffed… So I Dropped 16 Kills In Diamond

Riot finally showing some love to azir, He genuinely feels fun to play and actually can single handedly solo carry a game when fed. Is there a future where azir wr goes over 50% or am i being delusional?

Tear of the Goddess in passive matchups?

I think it's almost unanimous to take Doran's Ring + 2 pots first item; however the mana management on Azir's early game (and even mid game) is a notable limitation of his poke potential in lane especially against mobile champs where Q poke is the only real opportunity to punish.

Anyone have any experience running it? Worth trying? Would allow for a more poke-heavy build on lane, which might make up for harder farm given you can punish the other laner and space them more effectively from your farm. Just airing out thoughts and ideas; would love to know if anyone has tried it!

Azir contenders

For an adhd player like me, azir was my comfort pick in mid due to his versatility which in addition to his mechanics made me not feel bored playing him over and over. If we were to make contenders or tier list to this kind of adaptability and versatility in a champion or close enough to that who would you put Without thinking the champs the pop to my mind instantly are jayce ezreal, kalista(kalista is biased), aphelios and Lee sin
