1st round exits for Filipino shuttlers in the BWF world champs. what should we be doing?

for people who follow PH badminton, especially those who compete and coach at the highest level, ano ba ang kulang sa atin?

should we be sending our national team members abroad for training more often? or even relocate our national team's training to countries like Malaysia entirely?

how can we get sponsors from the private sector? like how Indonesia has Djarum club, sponsored by a tobacco company, which produces many members of their national team.

can we do what France did to develop their own national team? or do what Canada did to produce someone like Victor Lai?

what should we be doing?

Is it valid to feel irritated and uncomfy?

I played last night and on my second game, I was paired with a beginner so as our opponent.

I was very warm and communicative with my partner, such as but not limited to words like “nice try,” “nice one,” “it’s okay.” However, he just looks at me with a blank face. At the same time, whenever he’s targeted for drop balls and I try to save the same, he looks at me and makes snide comments or rolls his eyes.

I get frustrated when I meet players like this. Thoo I ranted here just because I never asked nor shared my experience to anyone last night.

Can I have your thoughts on this one? 🥹

Anyone here into badminton? 🏸

I’ve recently been getting more into badminton and I’m hoping to play more often. I’m still pretty casual at it though, so I’m definitely not an expert or anything 😭

For those who play badminton, how did you get into it? Any tips for someone who’s still learning and trying to improve?
Also, do you usually play with friends or join groups to meet other people? I’d love to hear your experiences!

Help me buy my first ever original badminton gears

I am an intermediate player who now has a 6k budget to buy a racket and a shoe.
I’ve already chosen a racket to buy and that is the nano fusion speed 722 and its priced at 2k right now and that includes a string already (exbolt 65) I am only looking for good shoes now. If you have a shoe recommendation please comment it down below.

Help me choose a badminton shoe 😭

Hi everyone! Need help choosing a badminton shoe kasi nahihilo na ako sa dami ng choices 😂 I'm currently on the market for a new badminton shoe and would really appreciate your suggestions, especially from those who have personally used the models I'm considering.

I've tried fitting different shoes in physical stores and have also searched through previous recommendations here, but I'm still having a hard time choosing. A lot of the stores I've visited also have limited sizing, so I haven't been able to properly compare the models I want.

Priority ko talaga stability and comfort, especially since I usually play around 2 hours per game. I’ve tried fitting:

- Yonex 65Z4
- Asics Court Control FF 4
- Yonex Aerus Z

For all three, 24.5 cm is the correct length, pero medyo snug sila, especially sa big toe ko. I want enough room para makagalaw yung toes ko properly during lunges so I'm also considering trying 25 cm, pero hindi ko pa natry.

Currently eyeing:

- Yonex 65Z4 / 65Z4 Wide
- ASICS Court Control FF 4 / FF4 Wide
- Victor P8500 II / P8500 NitroLite

For those who have tried any of these, how's the toe-box space, stability, and comfort after 1.5–2 hours, and overall feel sa court?

Salamat and I'd highly appreciate your feedback po!

5U racket with AxForce Blast-level smash?

Hey guys, looking for a 5U replacement/backup for my Li-Ning AxForce Blast 5U, which I absolutely loved but recently broke.

What I loved about the Blast:

5U (75–79g)

Head-heavy

Flexible 7mm shaft

Very effortless/heavy smash despite being 5U

Fast enough for my aggressive doubles games

I’ve tried 4U before and it causes shoulder discomfort, so 5U is non-negotiable.

Looking for something similar or better than the Blast, preferably under ₹5k.

Currently considering AxForce Cannon, Victor Thruster HAWK PRO, Hundred Nitrix Thunder/Attack, Halbertec 5U, etc.

What would you recommend? Especially if you've actually used the Blast 5U?

String recommendations

Hello please recommend a string for this frame. This is my first time buying a proper racket. I mainly play casually with friends usually as doubles.

The sellers recommended Victor VBS-58 for it but would like to ask for other suggestions also including tension.

Thank you!
