Questions for Brandon Graham (Writer of Brandon Graham's Prophet!)

Hey all. I'm currently working on scheduling Brandon Graham for an upcoming episode of Bad-Rockin. While no date is as yet confirmed, one of the options is next week, so just to make sure you have time to ask any questions you may have I thought I'd post this now. I'm expecting great questions since there's a lot to cover with his Prophet run. I'm currently reading the Earth War for the first time, so it's all going to very fresh in my mind. Can't wait to see all your questions.

A great deal for a great haul (Also who wants a Glory convention preview?)

Had some awesome packages arrive today. Grabbed some missing pieces of my Archie Sonic/Mega Man collection, as well as finally getting Chilling Adventures of Sabrina issue 5.

But the star of the show was the Glory bundle. All of those for £24! I jumped at it.

I already have the Glory Preview, so I'm up for trading it if anyone's interested. Preferably someone in the UK, but I'm sure we can sort something out. I've made a few posts about comics I'm looking for, but at this point, if you could offer me Weird Worlds 3 (2011), Chilling Adventures of Sabrina 7 or Team Youngblood 20, you'll have yourself a deal.

Another small haul

Trying to pick off some of the smaller Extreme titles and minis. Saw these for very cheap on eBay and decided to grab them.

Got three really cool Extreme parcels in the mail at the moment. One is hopefully arriving tomorrow. I'm also close to obtaining one of my grails. I'm not sure if I'll pull it off, but fingers crossed.

Bad-rockin update: Nat has managed to find a workaround for the problem with our podcasting platform. This means that the next episode we release will be the first to have full video. Apparently, my audio isn't great, but I guess I can't have everything. However, considering the annoying shit we had to deal with, I'm not sure I want to spend £200 on a years subscription, so it looks like my search for a new recording platform continues.

Extreme titles without Liefeld?!

Recently, it was revealed that a new Newmen series was being developed without participation of Liefeld, as well as a reprint series from Tokyo Pop. They even released an SDCC exclusive reprint of NewMen issue 1. While no other info is available at this time, I feel this is definitely something to take note of. On top of that, as I talked about before, the Platinum Studios website lists a comic called "The Book of Fate," which seems to be a sequel to Judgment Day. I asked Rob directly about it, and he'd never even heard about it.

Some of you may be wondering how Extreme projects can be made without Rob. You see, to pay for Awesome Comic, Rob sold the rights to the Extreme catalogue to two investors, essentially splitting the rights in three. Rob retained Avengelyne(although Avengelyne is actually co-owned with Cathy Christian), Bezerkers, Bloodstrike, Bloodwulf, Brigade, Cybrid, Kaboom and Re-Gex. John Hyde got Glory, Maximage, Judgment Day, Prophet, CyberPunx, and Warchild. Finally, Scott Rosenberg received Youngblood, Supreme, Newmen, Knightmare, Bloodpool, and The Coven. (Although the small print on some of the Youngblood books says Rob owns Supreme, so who knows? But those small print credits are somewhat unreliable. That said, the Platinum Studios website seems to corroborate everything mentioned, even adding in a title called The Book of Fate).

Now, while his relationship with Hyde has been smooth sailing, things with Rosenberg have been somewhat rocky, which is what resulted in Youngblood's 7 year hiatus when Rosenberg teamed up with Rip Media. However, at least in part due to the success of Last Blood, the hatchet was buried, and Rosenberg once again teamed up with Rob to deliver new Youngblood material.

But with the recent surfacing of a New Newmen book, made without any involvement of Rob, as well as the looming mystery that is "The Book of Fate" project, I'm starting to wonder is if we'll be seeing more announcements regarding non-Liefeld driven Extreme projects. Rosenberg can license out whatever he likes from his share of Extreme. He may be testing the waters with Newmen, but with the entire Youngblood and Supreme catalogue, his options are pretty wide. I definitely wouldn't be shocked to see a Coven announcement sometime in the future.

Of course, this all might go nowhere, and new new adventures of The Newmen might never get off the ground. That said, I still thought it was worth talking about. Also, I wonder if Rob purposely made the Newmen evil in the recent Youngblood series out of spite. While he seemed pretty positive about it when he recently mentioned it on the pod, he certainly didn't when he mentioned it on his WhatNot stream.

Almost there: 3 issues left on the road to Supreme Apocalypse

This arrived today. For some reason the last few issues of Team Youngblood have been a bitch to find. That said, I only need three more, and I'll officially have a copy of all 100 issues of Youngblood. Currently, I'm searching for Team Youngblood 20, Brigade 22, and Supreme 30. All of them are proving illusive, at least at a reasonable price. I'm also looking for Prophet 3 and 4 since I plan to read all the way through until Violator vs. Badrock issue 4, but they're proving easier to get ahold of.

Today's delivery: My first Do You Pooh? And more Blindside 2026!

I am very happy that this has finally arrived. Can't wait to finally read Do You Pooh. I was lucky enough to see some of the Blindside 2026 art early, and it looked awesome, but it's cool to have a physical copy. Now, I just have to go through the ball ache nightmare to add it to the League database.

Bad-rocking Episode Seven is now out

After a handful of delays, Bad-Rockin episode 7 is now available on YouTube and Spotify with the Awesome Rob Messick. This was our longest episode so far but one of my favourites.

Episode 8 has been recorded, me and Nat are having some trouble using the new software because it's got some really annoying features. Hopefully, we can work around them and get the episode out without so many delays. We're pushing back the recording of episode 9 due to Badrock issue 2 being delayed by a week, so if you want to ask Seth Damoose a question and haven't yet, you have slightly more time.

The special episode me and Nat were working on has sadly been scrapped/put on indefinite hold. Hopefully, we can revive it sometime down the road.

Anyway, enjoy the episode.

Major Image haul

Nice little hole in the wall shop near me has .50 cent and $1 long boxes. Running a half off deal on long box books. 42 comics for just under $16 bucks. Still had others to grab. Will be making another trip back soon. Got some reading to do.

What does everyone think Heirborne will be?

Rob's been talking a lot about how Heirborne will be his magnum opus, as well as his final new major project before retirement.

He's apparently been working on it since 2010, and while he says it's a standalone story, we've already seen Vandel appear in both Youngblood (2025) and in the preview for Badrock issue 2. So, it takes place in the Extreme universe.

Has he placed seeds for it over the years. The Magistrate from the Heirborne short story resembles the villain from Brigade (2013). A villain who is strongly implied to be Supreme. Are the evil race of superpowered rulers ancestors of Supreme? Is it still connected to the Extreme 2.0 stuff like Ca$h Carter and The Defiants?

We're getting our first piece of new Heirborne content since 2022 in a few weeks, so I'd love to hear all your speculation, predictions and theories.
