Hi all! Taga Baguio ak ngem would like to ask fellow taga-Baguio people if meron po ba kayong ma recommend na cleaning services? Me and my brother live in a 2-storey house with indoor dogs and cats, manageable years ago when my parents were still here home and nagaaral pa ako but now my parents have migrated and I am working full time 8-5, my brother doesn't help much because of his working hours so madalas 80% ako ang linis and di ko na talaga kaya mamanage kasi aside from work madami pa ako ginagawa din. I can only clean yung mabilisan lang pero with this many indoor pets andun talaga yung amoy, yung dumi at alikabok na di ko na matanggal sa gilid gilid, etc.

Planning to call for a cleaning service like once a month or deep clean bongga once every 2-3 months siguro just to manage talaga everything. Thanks for the reco kung meron.

I'm a student. Lumipat ako sa loakan for cheaper rent and better rooms (may windows!) Kalilipat ko lang last week, mukhang lilipat na naman ulit ako. 2 storey yung house, sa taas yung room namin, sa baba naman yung owner. May klase akong gabi so binigyan niya akong susi sa gate and front door, pero useless kasi di niya sinasara uung front door. Yung screen door(?) sinasara niya (may latch lang sa loob) tas sinabi niya sa akin, tawagin ko lang siya pag meron na ako. So we have to talk every night e pagod ako minsan he's unresponsive kasi gabi na at nakainom siya. Minamandate niya kami to take a bath. Insists na tawagin siya (rinig naman sa room pag sinigaw pero ayaw niya, gusto niya we go down and tell him personally after taking a bath) Pag di niya narinig kasi nga lasing siya, he'll call us stupid. 2 kaming girl na renter. Ayoko na rito pero sayabg pera ng magulang ko sa deposit... tapusin ko lang siguro 1 month.

Bakit ang dami nang Maranao sa Baguio? Yung night market, hindi na sya ukay ukay eh. Puro na pekeng mga damit, phone cases at sapatos. Halos lahat ng nagbebenta ay mga Muslim na. Weird lang na city of arts and crafts ang Baguio, pero yung famous night market ay puro pekeng damit at sapatos lang ang benta.

Hi everyone.

It will be our first time travel to Baguio as a trentahin couple. Day trip lang as corporate slaves na one day lang kaya i-leave. We'll be going on a weekday pala para di gaano marami tao.

As the title says, realistic ba yung plan namin? Gusto sana namin mapuntahan and maexperience yung key spots sa Baguio. We are assuming din muna na we won't go back anytime soon kaya gusto namin sulitin (of course there's a high chance na di mapapanindigan).

Napaisip lang kasi kami na baka budget na 'yan for international trip. Pero kung hihimayin kasi yung expected activities and souvenirs, parang tama lang naman?

Bukod sa budget, okay rin ba yung alloted time and sequence? Commute (taxi) lang kami buong araw. Gusto sana namin maging efficient yung transition between locations, and ma-hit yung appropriate time slots for each spot.

Lastly, feel free to recommend places or kung ano mga di dapat namin ma-miss on our first visit. Thank you!

Around 5 PM, habang naghihintay mapuno yung jeep, napansin ko yung batang katabi ko. It wasn't my intention to invade her privacy, but something caught my attention. She was talking to Google AI.

The first thing she typed was, "I survived another school day."

She waited for the response, then typed again.

"It was a hard day. Ang daming assignments at school activities."

Again, she waited patiently, read the reply, and continued the conversation. Nothing unusual at first. Just someone asking questions and reading the answers.

Then she typed, "I'm very tired. Did I do well today?"

She read the response, and smiled. That's when it hit me.

Maybe she wasn't just using AI. Maybe she was looking for someone to listen.

Suddenly, her earlier messages made more sense. Like a proud kid excited to tell someone about her day, she shared little things:

"I also didn't eat during lunch and recess, but I didn't feel hungry."

"I actually have enough money, but I'm saving it."

Those weren't really questions. They were stories. The kind of stories kids usually tell a parent after school, or a friend who's willing to listen.

Nalala ko tuloy nung bata pa ako. I also never really got to share these kinds of things with my mom. She woke up at 4 AM every day to go to the public market and usually came home around 8 PM. She was doing everything she could for us, and I never blamed her for that.

Sure, marami akong kalaro sa labas. Text, pogs, habulan lagi akong may kasama. But when it came to sharing how my day went, what made me happy, or what was bothering me, those conversations with my mom rarely happened.

Maybe that's why this moment stayed with me.

I don't know this little girl's situation, and I don't want to pretend I do. Maybe she has a loving family. Maybe she simply enjoys talking to AI. There's nothing wrong with that.

But I couldn't help wondering, have we become so busy, so distracted, or so out of touch that some kids feel more comfortable sharing the little moments of their day with an AI than with another person?

Maybe the bigger question isn't whether AI is replacing human connection.

Maybe it's whether we're still making enough room for those small conversations that mean everything to a child.

I don't know.

I just hope she has someone in her life who asks her how her day went and actually waits to hear the answer.

P.S. She was typing all of it in english and when she started talking to Google AI about her crush, I stopped reading. That part belonged to her. But seeing her smile made me smile too.

hello! so sa baguio ko lang kasi naexperience to 2 months ago. while having a picnic with friends sa burnham, may lumapit na lalaki and biglang nagtanong "ligtas na ba kayo?" in a sheldon lee cooper typa way.

gulat ako non kasi very out of nowhere. then after that may mga tanong pa siya tapos bigla kaming dinasalan 😭.

it didn't end there kasi after a while nung umalis yung guy, may lumapit ulit na dalawang babae and yun din ang ginawa.

curious ako kung anong religion yon kasi didn't have the chance to ask. alam niyo ba?
