We are Stories Not Atoms is my first proper fic in several years and does have some common tropes like dadzawa and a focus on Bakugo and some bkdk. There is emotional moments and I'm happy with how it finished!

Idk this idea came to me a couple of months ago and I think it only started bc in a lot of other fandom subs I'm in they have like a weekly pinned thread to suggest and talk about fics which I thought was cute and I wondered why we never did that here in all the years this sub's been here...but then again we have inactive mods on here so that's probably why 💀

I guess I'm wondering if this is a dumb idea for this sub?? If we even need something like that to begin with??? We talk about bkdk/dkbk fics of all kinds in here a lot (and the occasional doujinshi lmao) so I think it would be nice and probably make keeping track of fic recs easier for people especially bc a lot of people in here do ask for fic recs all the time-

Started two weeks ago and finished it today.

It's hard to believe I released my MHA fic only a month ago! And this week, I hit 1,000 hits! And the comments and likes have been active too. It makes me very happy. I have several and the other one wasn't doing as well...
But this specific one has been doing quite well. And it's a BKDK work, I think, I can be very proud of. The comments have all been encouraging and kind and I'm excited to get further along with this story.

Don’t get me wrong, I love smut, but I hate when it’s just about sex like OH MY GOD. I need a buildup that’s meaningful.
I really don’t want the first few lines to immediately nose dive into the meat and potatoes (poor choice of words, ik, but it’s funny to me so I’m not changing it).

I made a post a while ago with some requirements for word count of 25k+ since I prefer long reads, but I realize it doesn’t really matter if the story/plot isn’t good. So, if you have anything like this, please drop it below.
Not against dkbk, as long as it’s not cringe.

I really like the relationship progression of izuku and katsuki throughout the whole story. Most fics I read though, izuku is quite watered down. Like man is canonically possessive of "his Kacchan".

I just wanna read a fix-it fic where they both match each other's freak and like say Izuku has been in love with kacchan for so long it's just his norm, he doesn't even notice, but Bakugo, well he fell without noticing near the end of the war and when he did notice, well time to invest every cent and hour he has into getting Izuku back in the field and every smile and look from Izuku torments him. Yearner!Kacchan for the win.

Some Angst is expected but happy endings only please 🙏 Ao3 and 50k+ words is preferred.

Looking for a BKDK AO3 fic. Bakugou had ridiculously high standards for anyone he'd ever date, and he kept getting annoyed because Midoriya accidentally met every single one of those standards. Bakugou wasn't aware he had feelings yet—it was mostly him being frustrated that Deku fit all of his "requirements". That's unfortunately all I remember.

Anddddd chapter 1 is officially done! It sits at 22.5k words and I couldn’t be happier with it. Still gonna stay true to getting a couple totally finished before I start releasing them on ao3 though hahaha.

I'm very tired of seeing people hate on this ship all the time. It's on every social media, the haters just go to the comments under the ship post and try to convince everyone that they are toxic.

Of course season 1 bkdk is toxic, but on later seasons they get so much development. Bakugou risk his life for Deku, cried when he lost his quirk, invited him to work together in his agency. The development is CRAZY.

I'm thankful we have a space like this and AO3 ff and tt fanpages but I still have hard time dealing with people that overlook the ship.

Wish we could be explain this to them and stop getting hate.

I love seeing these two grow together. Frankly, I think I just like angst BKDK fics, Lol. Working on one of my own...
Anyway... Do you guys have any good angsty BKDK fics? Or just fics in general that have Bakugo and Izuku go through some difficult times together and they stick by each other? Like Post War times, for example?
I would love if the story was quite long and also completed, but if not, that's ok too.

How to Save A Hero by startledstarling

I'm a mental health therapist who has worked with teens and adults for 7 years. I always wanted to know what it was like for the MHA students to recover after the war with AFO. So I wrote it!

I just posted chapter 5 of my fic imagining what it would be like to give therapy sessions to the students of class 1-A after the war. I wanted to write the details of their treatment and also show them just getting to be kids again.

Each chapter (except ch 1) has a therapy session and then 2-3 slice of life scenes.

I wanted to create a story that feels cathartic and comforting to read, but also realistic.

Looking for a BKDK AO3 fic! Izuku gets amnesia while they’re still at U.A. Class 1-A (especially Ochaco) lies to him about Bakugou because they’re trying to protect him from his bullying past. Bakugou eventually cries and tells Izuku they’re lying. The class later apologizes. There’s also a scene where Bakugou asks Izuku why he believed him, and Izuku says something like, “Because you looked like you needed help.”

As the title says, I wrote my first ever fanfiction and published it ! I'm just so happy to have finally done it ! If anyone's curious it’s a really short one shot (1,733 words) set in the canon universe even though they don’t use their quirks in the fic, before the war. It’s from Izuku's pov !
