"Itago niyo ang CCTV" Jinggoy Estrada. NBI Bodycam

Jinggoy Estrada wanted the CCTV withheld, while some majority bloc senators were moving to secure it. Either way, it shows how important the footage is. Unfortunately for them, NBI also has bodycam footage.

Let’s see if the PNP can do a credible and fair investigation here. OSAA’s Aplasca already lied in the news, so the evidence should matter more than press statements.

Cayetano also questioned why the NBI was investigating if they were supposedly involved, but based on current reports, no official NBI agent fired the shots. The suspect was reportedly a volunteer driver, not a regular NBI employee.

This needs a clean investigation, not political damage control.

Ah talaga ba Alan?

Duterte supporters spread false information

Congressman Kiko Barzaga claimed that "multiple" people died after several gunshots were heard inside the Senate building on Wednesday evening, May 13.

In a now-deleted post, Barzaga wrote: “Multiple dead after gunfight within Senate building, will confirm later."

The lawmaker's post was shared by thousands of his followers, including pro-Duterte vlogger Krizette Chu.

In a video posted on Thursday, May 14, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) warned the public against spreading fake news and inciting violence following the Senate chaos.

“Sinumang mapapatunayang nagambag o nagudyok sa pagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon online at karahasan ay hindi palalagpasin ng CICC [Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center] at sisiguraduhin na mapapatawan ng karampatang parusa." | RLL/#IMTNEWS

Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) asks SC to deny Bato dela Rosa's plea vs. ICC arrest warrant

https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/nation/987911/osg-supreme-court-bato-dela-rosa-icc-arrest/story/

Additional and great read: Dean Mel Sta Maria's post and excerpts: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18oPpzvDqj/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I have read the response of the Office of the Solicitor General against the claims of Senator "Bato" as represented by his lawyers. I can only say "Bravo". I encourage ALL law students, foreign affairs students, Ambassadors, Consuls and other foreign officials and also lawyers to READ IT. It is a masterpiece of coherence, logic, depth, substance and true applicability of international and constitutional laws. I MUST ADMIT I still learned so much from it.

Excerpts:

"To stress, the implementation of the ICC warrant of arrest is based on Section 17 of Republic Act No. 9851 through the President’s prosecutorial and foreign relations powers."

"101. Thus, the implementation of the ICC warrant is not only sanctioned under Section 17 of R.A. No. 9851 and recognized principles of customary international law; it is likewise a legitimate exercise of the President’s constitutional duty to promote the general welfare and safeguard the people’s life and liberty."

" 215. Senator Dela Rosa evaded legal process for six months. Then, he returned to the Senate not to comply with the law, but to vote in a politically significant leadership election. The timing of his return was driven entirely by political convenience rather than submission to legal authority. Also, it should not be forgotten that the enforcement of the ICC Warrant issued against him was in connection with extrajudicial killings resulting in the death of thousands committed during his tenure as Chief of the Philippine National Police from 2016 to 2018."

"216. Senator Dela Rosa's conduct simply reveals that he does not come to court with clean hands. Having sheltered from potential arrest for half a year, he surfaced for convenience and immediately sought a TRO to ward off enforcement. A party cannot selectively engage with legal processes based on convenience. Truly, his actions reflect inequitable conduct, which bars the grant of the strong arm of injunction."

Nakaka alarming

So hello I just want to clarify first na im not into any political party here kasi lahat sila trapo

So the main issue here is was there a confirmation from the government or did the Philippine government formally honor the ICC warant of de la Rosa? Cause it's to alarming specially pag wala dahil it just mean na may kilala si ex sen trillanes sa na mataas and they can do whatever they want. Yes may galit kayo sa government now but it's fogging the judgement of the people. If an extenal body and a person can move authorities like that who knows why kung ano pang kayang gawin nyan. And if volunteers yung mga nbi agent nayon pwedi silang makasuhan dahil walang go signal ng government if ganon.

Senators can be arrested inside the court if the warrant is from the Philippine government

But if a warant from external body such as ICC, the Philippine government should honor it first and asign a authorities to handle the arrest so that they can arrest someone inside of the court or anywhere here in the Philippines.

Feel free to comment cause i want to know your side on this topic.
