Best stick for ball hockey

Those who play ball hockey in the off season from ice hockey, what height/curve am I looking for? I play in a competitive ball hockey league in my summers and I feel like I constantly struggle with what length and curve to use, in ice hockey I strictly use Bauer from the Vapour line with a P92M curve, with length slightly below my chin without skates on. I play D in both and as a ball hockey player I rarely stick handle at the line as I don’t want to run more then I need too (the ability to glide has been taken for granted in my life clearly). I find if I have a length comparable to my on ice sticks, I’ll have a good shot but my hands will suffer along the wall as will my abilities to make quick plays in my own end, then vice versa if I cut it short. As for curve, I’ve found a more moderate curves are more consistent with the weight of the ball for stretch passes but a deeper toe enhances my handling.

Basically what I’m asking for is advice from those who actually know what they’re doing in the ball hockey community, as my skills clearly do not correlate properly from ice to concrete and I’m tired of running my legs off to make up for my own mistakes.

Sticks/curves/flex are no issue as I have a graveyard in my basement that could equip a small army

Thanks in advance and fire away with the chirps as I am my own worst critic

In search of hockey stick….. Foote Reebock FT3 dressed as a Ribcore 5

best stick I ever had, I think it’s maybe a 2-3 years old model? Any idea where to search for it’s replacement, I’ve looked all over.

Thanks

Crease Commander Sliders

They didn’t ask me to post anything but sharing since the company is pretty new (photo is them on my pads) As of now there’s no website and they do sales through IG and direct messages.

I LOVE these. Really feels like you’re sliding on ice (tested on sport court and concrete surfaces). Okay maybe a little exaggeration, but these are fantastic. Little pricey at $150 + shipping. 3D printed plastic + ball bearings. Super sturdy for sure. Dont mind the excess velcro, I’ve been trying out a few different brands lol.

They come in a bunch of colors if you want to match your team / pads

Highly recommend these and don’t think I’ll be changing them out anytime soon!

Advice for ball

Hi, me and my friends want to try ball hockey. We dont have equipment for goalie and were wondering is there a ball that could not hurt anyone that were on goal? I keep reading about these liquid filled ones but I bet those one can hurt you alot like a puck.

Curve choice

Anyone else have a hard time choosing a curve for a ball? I like toe curves for shooting pucks, but the ball seems to “stick” on the blade because of the deeper pockets and if I don’t have a snappy and straight follow through I almost always pull my shots and passes to the left (righty shooter). Stickhandling is so easy with a toe curve and I don’t really want to give that up. Anyone have the same experience and any way to combat the problem?

Need some Help with Coaching

So i am on a mens rec ball hockey team. We play in the lowest division. Myself and 4 guys have played before rest of the 10 guys are brand new or 1 season in.

Alot of the guys play wing that are new and tend to be too low on defence so points are always wide open.

Our D are slower older dudes. Sometimes they panic with the ball because of laziness and being tired. We tend to get beat alot on the d end because of stepping. Some of our d tend to play the same side.

Our goalie is killer has stole and won us tons of games.

I try to spread out guys who have played before with the new players.

Need some help explaining position and some tips myself and our couple of guys are trying to explain.

Videos or tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks
