How to kite?

I understand:
- Your weapon can hit as they walk into range, while they will only start hitting after they are in range.
- Speed matters

But how to actually manage this?
I can land maybe 1 hit on skeleton without taking damage, while taking damage the other 5-6 attempts before dying. And those are not 5-6 hits, those are 1-2 hits, 4-5 misses. So even when I do not hit, I still get hit.

How are you supposed to understand what goes wrong?
How are you supposed to see when to do what?
How long does it take people to "get" it?

I have played for 33 hours, and about one third of that has been spent exclusively on kite attempts. E.g. using healer, so that I can heal up and try again before dieing to make the process more efficient.
Using ninja because he is fast, to give me an extra edge (but I believe my hit rate with ninja actually went down).
Is it true that all weapon types have the same range?

Sapper Realization

So, who else was unaware that you can hold the frying pan over a campfire to cook without torches?

Me and my group have done a dozen runs with a sapper, and somehow we missed that til literally today, lol

Salamander Paladin basically immortal with high AC and Thaumaturgy

Love this combo so much definitely the best of the new dlc imo. Also this was my first win after switching from pc to console!

New to the game

Is this a group that can help find people to play with or strictly about the game I’ve played for about 30-40 hours and have beaten it twice but struggle to find servers that want to fully finish the game.

Blessed scroll of summon monsters gave me 5 demons?

During a run where I had 4 zap brigadiers already following me, I used a blessed scroll of summon monsters and 5 demons were summoned. As I understand based on the wiki, its only supposed to be 3-4? Any idea how this can happen?

How to fight Minotaur as a stealth class like Rogue or Ninja?

I can start facetaking him as a warrior/cleric or even healer(if I get lucky) at the start of the jungle or just blast him with magic with some magic class, but I have no idea what to do with a stealth character.

Since he can always see you, the entire point of Stealth does not exist and I'm left with an extremely fragile character that has to kite a character that can levitate.

All I can do is to make a Rogue a worse mechanist and try to cheese him with mines/beartraps but that means I have to find a tinkering kit early which sometimes simply doesn't happen.

Tips for Minotaur Labyrinth ?

Accidentally went into the Labyrinth for the first time thinking it was just the boulder puzzle room, and I ended up in here. Should I try to fight him since I’m pretty high level, or should I just try to speedrun through the maze with my Staff of Opening?

I have some decent gear, like a Ring of Regeneration and Boots of Levitation. Outside of that, all I really have is 4 bolas.

I'm scared to get treated like a ragdoll by diet cow hulk.

Edit: hank you for all of the advice, my friends. I couldn’t beat it in direct combat, so I mixed some of the stuff y’all suggested and kited him for a while while running for the spear. Then he was slowed, so I just mag-dumped him with Magic Missile while he took a bit to get to me.

Finally conquered the gnomish mines!

After about 40 minutes of hit-and-run tactics, mixed with using their own lightning staffs against them, I have successfully killed every single living thing on this floor and excavated almost every possible resource here!

Also, for the record, the shopkeeper is still alive since he provided me with food.

Is there a benefit to having Minotaur active?

I’m new to the game, and after alot of discussion in this sub the other day I did decide to at least turn Minotaur off. Nothing else. And no assists at all. Playing the game without hunger feels awful because healing feels awful without regen. But I’ve had Minotaur off the entire time I’ve played, I did forget one run and he spawned on floor 2 and just slaughtered me in seconds. So what even is the point of it’s, there’s no way you’re killing him on floor 2 right? And even if you do, why? What does he do for you?

Barony and beyond

I've been playing Barony lately (bought it from Steam for under €2, crazy price), and I'm really enjoying my time.

However, I started feeling like it lacks depth? I feel like something is missing from the gameplay loop, but I don't know what.

The game's a blast, don't get me wrong.

I'm looking for another "barony-like" game which has a little more depth. You got any recommendations?

Skeleton help

I don’t really like playing as the skeleton race as it feels to limiting but want to get the true skeleton achievement so I can use conjurer (my favorite class) with literally any other non human race

What is a good class that pairs well with skeleton

I do have 1-2 buds who I tend to play the game with so multiplayer focused classes arnt an instant shelf but I can also play solo if need be.

Finally beat my first run. Maybe trying to throw myself into brewer this early was a bad idea in retrospect, but mass producing nukes and being blasted 24/7 is really fun

I am very smart, lemme tell ya

Any tips for me to get better?

I'm kinda new to baront, 31.8 hrs on steam. Ive been playing the following classes:brewer, mechanist, monk, paladin, rouge, and ranger. All as human except a bit of automaton as mechanist. I'm playing human since I wouldn't have anything to work around but automaton seems not too complicated or hard as mechanist. Personally my favorite in order is :Brewer, Mechanist, Ranger, then paladin. What are the best weapon choices for Human Brewer and do you have any tips on how to get farther? I can beat gnomish mines and the highest I've gotten to is the desert and haven't touched any other secret levels besides the gnomish mines and mine town but would appreciate help in getting good.

Tl;Dr what's best weapon choice for human Brewer and how can I succeed and utilize secret levels.

Barony Cheese after magic rework

I want to know everyones cheesy exploits for barony runs after the magic rework. The only one I know of right now is using mechanist class to level up weapons skills before floor one using the dummy bot and sentry. I love breaking games and becoming overpowered. Before the update there were plenty of exploits but now its super hard to find any.
