It's an old ball that shows its age but still displays nicely. I never realized it might be special I'm definitely not a memorabilia expert lol. A buddy told me I should try to sell it here on Reddit.

I’m pretty new to the hobby and recently decided to start focusing on Bowman Chrome 1st autos, especially numbered ones when I can afford them.

Here’s the beginning of my collection so far. Nothing super crazy yet, but I’m having a lot of fun learning the hobby and prospecting.

I was curious about your opinions:

Do you personally prefer Bowman Chrome 1st autos over other cards like Bowman Chrome rookie cards (RCs) that aren’t 1sts? Or even over Topps flagship rookie autos?

I’m also wondering about something more specific:

Would you rather own a non-numbered Bowman Chrome 1st auto, or a numbered Bowman Chrome rookie auto that isn’t a 1st, like a /25 or /50?

I feel like the “1st” logo has something special long term, but numbered cards also feel more rare and collectible to me, so I’d really like to hear what more experienced collectors think.

Not sure I’ll ever snag the 1/1, but I’ve seen the blue /10 on eBay (lost the auction by 0.50) - so if anyone sees my missing two, I’d love to try to complete the full rainbow!

Ordered 3 cards on opening weekend (Gausman Okamoto and Cease) got base for the other two but hit my lowest numbered topps now card to date! I’ve been extremely lucky with topps now only ordering like 20 total cards all singles and ending up with 2 /50 and 1 /25

Let's hope he continu to improve!

Saw that bowman’s were in stock at lids at union station, bought two value boxes full of nothing special, but decided to let a guy in the lids comment section know there were still plenty of cards left at Lids.

Lids Corporate guy responds on his personal account, and I got a free value box!

Opened the packs on the train home and pulled this Colt Emerson

I still enjoy flipping through binders of sets… but the standard one touches left something to be desired up on the wall (for me) - hate the PSA labels, love the TAG slabs, but can’t grade everything obviously.

Found a middle ground in the Zion MagPro cases - especially when I figured out how to customize labels for them. Matched to the card/team colors, with my name on the back with the date I got the card, and I’m very happy with how they look.

Just figured I’d show a few here if anyone was curious how they look when personalized. I’ve got another project going for a rainbow and can’t wait to see how they look. Thanks for looking!

Pretty sure I paid $99 for a series one hobby box. Not sure how much longer I'll be purchasing these if the price keeps going up every release. Oh well, at least I scored a Jumbo hobby (to be disappointed by) this time around.
