Influx of VERY OLD product being returned because of tiktok????

Influx of VERY OLD product being returned because of tiktok????

Is the return policy explicit on return eligibility? We had stuff returned from 2016 and they got back almost $200 on a merch credit. What is the In writing policy on this because when faced with rejection, the customer will ask to see that policy and I want to be able to show them exactly where it says you can or cannot return 2016 sprays.

Return

Is there a way to tell if it has been on a warmer?? I hate when people take advantage of our return policy like this…

Counting the tilt at the end of the night as a key holder?

Hi guys!
So I’m gonna be the temporary keyholder for the holidays and I’m worried about how we count till at the end of the night. Is it like we count one register and it tells us what the total supposed to be and then we add it all together or gives me the ultimate total and I have to add the total of each register. I have only had to double count for other managers, slts, and key holders as an associate. Ur help is very appreciated :)

NBC complaints

Now that NBC launch is over, i’ve been seeing so many people complain in store and online over their bopis orders being canceled. But my thing is, if you really wanted certain items they could’ve tried the initial online drop and ship to them, or simply come in stores. It’s just not logical that they really thought it was a guarantee the item would be theirs, when bopis is simply a placeholder until you come pick up the items since that is when you’re charged.

Regardless with big drops like this people are never going to be satisfied, so i’m curious how it went for y’all. At my store, we did not do bopis orders till people that were standing outside got to shop. So obviously many orders were canceled. But another store near me did all their orders before opening, so by the time the store opened it was only body care, soaps and candles left. And just like my store, those people had been waiting till 6am outside.

Managed to snag the NBC collab bag, but...

I realized there's no great place to clip a pocketbac holder or coin purse!

I don't usually buy the bags from work, but am I tripping that most of our bags have had a little fabric loop or a D-ring somewhere to clip a sani holder?

The only possible spot for one on this bag is the little ring connecting the zipper pull and zipper. I clipped a pocketbac holder to that and went out for less than a couple hours today, and the ring already has a small gap that it didn't have before! Easy to fix, but I don't want to break the zipper pull eventually and possibly lose a holder!

Anyway, all this to ask if anyone has figured out a cute way to modify a bag to clip on a pocketbac holder? I was going to tie a ribbon to the strap but that feels like a bad idea lol... I use the pocketbacs religiously and love being able to have them on my bags!

Grateful for the expert advice, I'm a pro at candles and register, but am drawing a blank on this one😂

NBC Without the Chaos

I know I’ve seen a lot of chaos inside stores from the NBC drop yesterday, but I’m curious, did anyone else’s store actually have a fairly calm day like ours?

We only had 2 people outside of our store waiting for us to open (surprising as we are in an extremely popular location), one was a girl who was decked out head to toe in NBC merch who got everything she wanted from the collection which made me very happy. Other guy just wanted a Jack wallflower plug and left.

After that, the store was fairly empty almost the entire day that I was there. We still had quite a few groups come through, but our table wasn’t ever being “swarmed”. Most of our accessories did sell out still though.

How did your drop go?

"Consumer Obsessed" But encourages fomo and fake scarcity lol

Whats the point of going on about giving customers an amazing experience and being consumer obsessed but then doing a collab launch like this? I had so many sad and upset customers today. Im sick of this fake scarcity and fomo garbage. All it does is make people lose trust in the company and never come back to a major launch again. So many stores are struggling right now, and the amount of walkers and cancelled online orders due to out of stock could have helped so much. Hate the direction this company is going.

Embarrassed as buns

I bought a bunch of the new NBC stuff for my aunt because she's a huge collector and loves anything NBC (both candles, a cream one of the big tote things, a smaller bag, the zero thing and a sani), but like... With the way this launch has gone and just the general vibe of this collection I don't know why but I felt so so embarrassed to be buying it??

Couldn't even use my gratis cuz my managers haven't let us yet, or at least just didn't tell me or something lol. I don't work for the next three days so I'm a little worried I won't even get any for myself when I come back, if they let me.

I buy stuff from our new collections for my family all the time but I don't know why just buying some candles and bags made me feel so scummy. Maybe cuz we got so little?? I feel like we barely had anything, the little display looked so sad and I felt so awkward taking the scraps

i am so exhausted and work isn’t fun anymore

i understand that the company wants enrollment and stuff but it is so annoying. it is not my fault someone said no even when i said/did everything i could.

for me, i have a horrible stutter so register is hard for me in general. it’s not like i just repeat syllables, i actually go mute and can’t talk. i will try to sign someone up and want to say “let’s sign you up so you can get your points for this purchase” but then i pause on the word sign. it will continue if i don’t change the word and sometimes that doesn’t even work.

it happens multiple times with almost every customer. because of this i give up. i hate it and it’s so embarrassing/exhausting for me. i have no idea why it is so bad ONLY at work.

so i don’t do well on register because of this. most people i know think it’s stupid and that it’s just a stupid stutter, but it’s still annoying for me.

i do better at everything else. floorsets, bopis, replen, and just literally everything.

just a little rant 😃

so what did everyone pick for gratis?

I know many of us are going through it with lately but let's try to think about something fun and nothing is more fun than free stuff 😛

I got the jack body wash bc my friend wanted it lol, the autumn drive cream, lavender bergamot sani and the pink sparkly holder 💖

Absolutely no nightmare before Christmas songs playing???

What’s the point?! We played stupid Star Wars songs during that collab and Hillary Duff songs but NOT NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS??? Not only does the collab suck but NOW I CANT EVEN JAM OUT??? They might as well have just not done it in the first place!

I hate it here and I hate people for buying the hand sanitizer holders before I could get here 😭

I don’t care if it’s a first world problem, let me whine like a child!

How did the drop go for everyone this morning?

I’m off today after leading the floor set last night! I heard we only had one customer at the door when we opened this morning. I placed a BOPIS order around 9:30am and it was filled in under an hour- just for some body care and candles, no accessories. There must not have been too many orders! Plus we were behind on BOPIS from this weekends soap sale. Also only had 2 SLT in this morning so I imagine we were not busy by any means. Curious to hear how it went everywhere else!

Also what’s everyone’s store doing about the nbc body wash gratis? We only got 48 total body washes. We have around 25-30 employees…. I imagine a lot of us will miss out on this one? How is that fair? Has there been any communication about this today?

Not getting paid for worked time

TL;DR - My partners manager won't change the timesheet to reflect coming in early, what resources should I give them to remedy this?

This isn't for me but rather for my partner, they've worked at Bath & Body Works for about a year now, and so far from everything that Ive heard management is horrible

Ive heard countless rant sessions and stories about how the management doesnt do things according to policy and isnt respectful of time but these past few months it's been excessive

Today my partner was scheduled for a shift from 10AM-2PM, relatively short shift as they work part time, and their manager asked for them to come in at 9AM the night before

They came at 9 driving through a thunderstorm just to find that the manager slept in and would be running late, and said to just help the delivery people (who were waiting about an hour) to put the freight up

The manager got there around 9:45 then the day proceeded as normal until 1:30 when the manager decided they were going to go help another store and told my partner they were going to have to stay "later" with only one other coworker in the store and didn't give any estimate

Both of them called the manager every 45 minutes or so asking for an update with no response until about 5 when the manager got back

Before my partner left they asked if the manager could fix their pay time to reflect coming in early and she said, "I guess I can put an extra 10 minutes on there" instead of the full hour worked

This manager has been an issue consistently having arguments with customers, men she's talking to coming into the store to talk or hang out, and nearly constantly on the phone yelling or laughing in the back room

My partner is very non-confrontational and unless given all the resources and directions will most likely not take any action but I believe this is unacceptable, what are the recourses and rights my partner has to get treated better?
