Haven’t verified authenticity, but looks real. $8.49. Thought I was going crazy when I saw it after opening the cover.

Highly Recommend

This arch was so amazing. Takes place over the years of Batman and a mistake he made in one of his first years as Batman. And he’s tried to make it right or help the person he forgot about or couldn’t track. Man the ending was a bit sad, but this story was so good. The Al the characters and the development of the robins as we see all 3 of them. If you haven’t read this arch please check it out it’s so good. And if you have read it, where do you rank it among Batman stories?

KIRK LANGSTROM HAS ARRIVED

Pictures don’t do justice just how big this guy is in person. Second pic shows how he compares with Sideshows latest Catwoman PF.

Questions about canon, continuity, and The Killing Joke.

So, I'm sure I read The Killing Joke many years ago as one of a handful of graphic novels I had read in my life until last year. I started reading DC comics avidly this year, and I'm about to read A Death in the Family for the first time, but I realized that The Killing Joke happens first. That made me wonder how that works for canon purposes because wasn't The Killing Joke a one-shot? And, furthermore, I understand that Batgirl becomes Oracle... and then Batgirl again. So, can someone explain how The Killing Joke wasn't canon, then was, then wasn't, and now is? or something like that....
I know the plot details of the books and some of the major events from the 90s and up, so you don't have to worry about spoilers in your responses. My question is more about what books are considered elsewhere and how some events become canon.

What’s the current canon first meeting between Batman (not Bruce) and Ra’s al Ghul?

In Batman: The Knight, Bruce meets Ra’s during his training years, before he officially becomes Batman. So that’s clearly the first meeting between Bruce Wayne and Ra’s in current canon.

What I’m trying to figure out is this:
What is currently considered the first meeting between Batman and Ra’s al Ghul specifically after Bruce has already become Batman?

Do we have a post-Crisis or New 52 or Rebirth/Infinite Frontier story that redefines or retells that first Batman/Ra’s encounter? Or is Batman #232 still effectively treated as the canonical first meeting between Ra’s and Batman, just with the added context that Ra’s already knew Bruce beforehand because of The Knight?

Chronology for reading Batman?

I have never read comics but recently I started with absolute Batman, I know that is a different universe, but I would like to know, in which order can I read the Batman comics from the main universe or main cannon.

I know there are Batman Year two, or barman hush, or barman knight fall, etc. But how do you recommend me to start with the comics? I which ones should I avoid?

Cozy Batman

I just got into comics and read a good amount of Batman comics, I would love to read a cozy a bit layed back Batman story something like the Wayne adventures. Any recommendations?

What do I read next?

So far I have read Batman: year one, The Man who laughs and Batman: The long Halloween. I've heard that it's dark victory next but I need confirmation and also the next few comics I need to read. Thank you

Batma Telltale Series; Lady Arkham

So I'm playing the Batman Telltale Series for the first time (a decade late, I know) and I have one serious question [SPOILER WARNING]:

-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Once we uncover that Vicki Vale is Lady Arkham, I have always wondered what sense it makes that a 5'4, 120 Soaking-Wet Reporter can somehow go toe-to-toe with Bruce F-- Wayne as Batman in hand to hand combat?! Not to mention that when she stabs him in public with the nerve agent, his reflex to that motion is slower than pond water and somehow no one notices the occurrence, even with Bruce and Vicki having a silent standoff for a few moments, but I digress.

My main question is not how Vicki is outsmarting Batman, but moreso how she is a physical threat to him in-combat. Part of the reason Scarecrow worked so well in the Arkham Knight game is because his main strengths are psychological, and that would have worked perfectly with Lady Arkham, rather than her also being a combative challenge, as Scarecrow is not.

Unpopular Opinion: I'm not a fan of millers Batman

Don’t get me wrong, I think Year One and TDK are great stories, but I don’t like what his Batman did for future versions of the character. I only noticed this when reading Steve Engelhart/Denny O’Neil’s Batman, but Batman was way more of a human character before Miller. He wasn’t always dark and brooding, he was just an introverted guy. But after Frank Miller, many writers tried to copy his Batman and kinda made him more exaggerated and more boring imo.

Does Batman imply killing Falcone

I’m kinda confused by what Batman said because it seems like he is implying killing Falcone, which seems out of character. Can someone explain to me what he really means and if he implying killing Falcone.

Detective Comics Question

I've read all the New 52 Detective run as well as the main book and The Dark Knight series of that era, I've read the Tynion Batman run,but have not gotten to the Tynion Detective run,nor the Tamaki Detective run, will that put me at a disadvantage if I start the Detective Nocturne stuff? Or do I have enough base to know where Batman is at this point. I know all about Brownstone, and I see early in this run that's his op center.
