Am I not able to play solo/coop anymore?
I just reinstalled after a while. Game says I need 16 players to start? I can't just play solo with bots anymore? I used to be able to?

Did they nerf the MAV?
Before, at least how I remember it, the MAV had those proximity grenades you could activate with left on the d-pad. Now, only the CAV-Brawler has them? I'm pretty sure the MAV had them before too otherwise I wouldn't have levelled it up so much.

A compilation of cinematic and memorable clips I recorded over the past 5 years playing 2042. Thank you DICE. I know the game is hated but I had fun.
I used a controversial song because the game was (and still is) controversial but hopefully people will see it in a different light years down the road if the dust ever settles. The game was far from perfect but the freedom of large maps, huge player counts, and gadgets 2042 offered was unparalleled especially compared to BF6's claustrophobic hallways. You could get really creative with your playstyle. Anyways hope you guys enjoy. See you on the battlefield if DICE ever fixes the servers.

State of Battlefield 4,5 and 2042 in 2026
So after a long time I finally stopped my Gacha gaming habit, and I am currently looking into fun FPS games. I haven't played competitive before, and have some experience with Far Cry and Call of Duty series. I bought Battlefield 4,5 and 2042 in the steam sale last year and they have been rotting ever since.
Now, before we continue, I must specify that even though Battlefield 5 has the most no of steam players as of today, I'm not really fond of World War theme (Its the 'old gun/school' thingy which I don't like, although I wouldn't mind people changing my opinion about it). So my question would be what is the state of Battlefield 4 and 2042 today.
Both games avg around 1.5k concurrent on steam, and I have no clue about the other platforms. Also while I checked the reviews for the games, I saw a comment which state the servers in South Asia are not really worth playing for, and I would be kicked out from America/Europe for the high ping.
So I would like to know about your experience playing them these days. Thank you

[PC] Can't join any game mode other than Portal!
Custom games work fine, but none of the other modes like TDM, Breakthrough or Conquest work. I just get this black screen and I am thrown back out to the menu. It's been like this for several days. Help!

A new player was asking what Battlefield he should buy and he said what his likes and dislikes in video games are and it just sounded like he would enjoy 2042, so that’s the one I recommended and I talked about how customizable it is in Portal and you have a few different eras to play in and I got downvoted for it

DICE, it’s time to bring back the TRUE King of Rush: Port Valdez!
Port Valdez.
If we're talking flow, this map was water. Everything from the mountain ridges to the industrial base felt right. As kids my buddy and i used to spend hours on those hills calling out sniper shots with the M24 and M95, and I know I’m not the only one with those memories.
We have Arica Harbor and Valparaiso, but the set isn't complete without this masterpiece. It’s time to bring Port Valdez to the modern engine. Let's get some noise going so DICE sees this!
