Hey everyone,

​I've recently been diving back into the classic Star Wars Battlefront II (2005). I absolutely love the old-school conquest and objective-based spawn system, but I'm looking to mix things up and play through some custom campaigns or story-driven mods.

​I am a massive reader and collector of Star Wars Legends comic books, particularly the Clone Wars and legacy series. I would love to find mods that capture the gritty vibe of those specific eras or offer a strong narrative focus rather than just standard instant action matches.

​I know the modding community for this game is legendary and that there are tons of total conversions and era mods out there. However, it is a bit overwhelming to sift through everything to find which ones actually feature fully fleshed-out single-player campaigns or custom objective-based missions.

​What are your absolute must-play recommendations for campaign mods? Are there any specific map packs or overhauls that tell a great story or nail that classic Legends continuity?

Will try to make it short and informative, if anybody can help me with this. I am trying to mod BF2 2005 with the mod guide provided by TigerEye6 in the Community/Guides/Modding Or Configuration tab of Steam, along with the controller support patch from BAD-AL on GitHub. The reason why I specifically am trying to go for this build is I installed it on my laptop and really love the feel and look of the game, it takes the rose colored lens I have of my childhood and makes it so much better. It runs great on Windows (I know, Linux and Windows are not the same.) So far I have tried a network share of the files from my PC with the mods installed, and it would crash when loading a game mode. I then tried a fresh clean install of the game and installed each mod individually using ProtonTricks and Peazip. That time it would get to the initial loading screen, white screen, and crash. It also wouldn’t let me execute the 4gb patch and would just give a popup windows saying “failed executable!” even when running it through bottles. If someone has any time in their day to provide assistance or can reflect on personal experience that this is not possible to do with these specific mods, that would be a massive help :)

So I bought Battlefront 2 a year after it came out on disc. I played the shit out of that game on my Xbox 1s, unfortunately my console broke so I replaced it with the Series S which does not have a disc port. This was no issue as I later bought the digital version of the game but that’s when I started having issues. I could boot up the game and play for 5 mins then it would crash, I even deleted all my data and still it would crash. The only way I could actually play the game is when cloud gaming came out then I would run smoothly. This is the only game I have issues with when I transferred over to the Series S. Why is that and how do I fix it?

I'm currently playing through the campaign for BF2 and I'm struggling with Yavin 4. I can get up to the point where I have to defend the reflecting pool then I lose every single time. Any tips for defending it?

Im talking about battlefront 2 .Im a new player i just got a ps5 but it is so depressing when I don't get a game for hours even quick match takes so much time .I play from India so I don't which server it is . Just heartbreaking when as soon as I could buy the ps5 the game I watched on youtube died I played few games it was amazing but it is depressing now.

I wanna buy the game soon I play in OCE servers would I still be able to find games regularly? Or am I too late

Whats everyones favorite/unfavorite map?

My personal favorite is Coruscant. The fighting moves around the map organically and most of the capture points have multiple access routes to them. The highlight being able to fight for every inch down the main hallway.

On paper Polis Massa is an interesting map, good size, variety in area size and aestetic. Sadly, most of the fighting is confined to two very narrow hallways and a very small room at the end of them. Balancing on this map is insane as well. If you let the droids get to the twin hallways its usally game over. Its very hard to push them back out of them with the limited cover and how they really love to wreck everyones shit with their wrist rockets.

Hello soldiers!

I've got a lovely friend celebrating his bachelor party in a few months, and recently the idea came about that he would love to have some sort of Star Wars Battlefront (2005) battlestation(s) set up as part of our weekend of shenanigans. I'm looking for suggestions on how to logistically make one of these two options work with with the least number of TVs/Monitors possible.

Option 1: 6v6 Conquest, Assault and maybe a bit Hunt. As few setups as possible. Just bunch of boys dropping in and out of scraps all weekend long.

Option 2: 4 player co-op campaign play through. One boy drops out for some Mario Kart, another boy takes his place. Looking to up the basic campaign difficult to account for 4 players (mods?) And run 4 players in co-op (also mods maybe???)

Not sure what's possible and what isn't - but looking for suggestions to help sort out possible logistics, or scrap the idea altogether.

Edit: I'm a PS2 old head - so the world may have changed a bit - maybe 4 player co-op is simple business these days shrug.

I love playing this game in local split screen versus mode Galactic conquest. However I really don't want the permanent buffs making the game one sided.
Is there any way to turn these off or be able to apply them to the other player as well?
