how do i make my room creepier (TW: furby hanging)

okay, so i got this new room in the attic and it's bigger than the other room i was livin' in which was the size of a closet, and im taking advantage of that.

as you can see, i already added some creepy posters and hanged a furby that wronged me. so i just need more stuff like that.

TLDR: i need advice on the creepiest most unsettling shit i could add to my room. thank you.

Not sure what to do with the primary bedroom

**concern is the room on the RIGHT of the photos**

Hi everyone,

My partner and I just bought a condo that we’ll be renovating and wanted to get your thoughts on how we can optimize the floorplan. The current floor plan is the first photo, and the second is our working idea of what to do. Black lines are what we are confident will work, while red is what we're not sure about (see below). Our goals are:

  • expand the width of the living room
  • add a guest room/additional room
  • have a primary bedroom with sunlight and an ensuite

We cannot move the HVAC or the thick black wall between the living room and the existing right-side bedroom. Our current markup moves the primary bedroom to the other side because we can't see a way to get both an office and a guest bedroom into the right-side space.

We are particualrly stumped about what to do with the new primary bedroom/bathroom. We don’t know where we could put a closet without blocking the windows. We would like double sinks. We do not need a bathtub (but need a shower). We need a king bed and need enough room at the end of the bed to navigate around. We also tentatively have a dresser under the window, but would prefer not to have to cross the entire room to get to our clothes from the bathroom.

Can anyone help us out?

Need Help Making Bedroom Less Awkward

Hello!

I 20f have finally been able to get the privilege of my own bedroom so when it comes to knowing how to work with the room I’ve got - I am clueless.

There is of course not much in my room yet as I’ve only just began moving in, but I know the room looks awkward and I need ideas on how to make my room look cozy and aesthetic. I feel like the exposed brick on the wall kind of makes it look a bit awkward too but I’m not sure. It’s like one of those things where a bunch of things are awkward and you can’t put your finger on it nor know how to fix it. Maybe the placement of furniture is awkward too or there’s a possibility to work around it and enhance the space.

The aesthetics I am into are Y2K, McBling and Coquette and I’d love that kind of mix of aesthetic in my room. I’d like to have a makeup vanity in my room as well as maybe a tv on the wall.

The room is 3.8 x 3.1m. What would you suggest I do to make this match my aesthetics in mind and have it look less awkward? As well as Pinterest worthy! Thank you for reading!

Change my bedroom layout?

I currently have a cabinet in the middle of my room, with my tv on top. My bad is against the back wall facing the television. (Slide 1)

I recently wanted to buy backlight for my TV, but 1: it wouldn’t look good from the angle where I took the picture (my desk is in this corner). And 2: you probably won’t really see it well since it doesn’t get reflected of a wall.

So I came up with another idea (slide 2), rotating my bed 90 degrees and having my tv on the other wall. What do you guys think? which do you prefer? The backlights aren’t a must but would be nice. And should I swap the decorations on the wall also?

Thanks guys!

RUG SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

I don't have any photos of my room due to being out of town but I am redecorating my bedroom at the moment. I want to do both navy blue (maybe striped) duvet + two pillows and plum sheets + pillows. My room is off white with teak furniture and my flooring is a darker brown. WHAT KINDA RUG SHOULD I GET? I don't know if I could even add another colour or just try to match it to the floor but then it seems pointless:( I want to include green as well but I think a green rug would be tooo much.

Help with Ideas for a Little Girl's Room

Please help me find the right furniture and layout for my tiny person! The photo shows the room but that is not my decor. The room has to fit a sufficient.

The 75" window is 30" from the floor. I am on the fence about what to do there because on one hand I want her to have access to the window, but it could also be a place for low storage, which is really needed for small kids when they are learning to be self sufficient.

Overall I am trying to figure out how to have low storage everywhere for her to access, but still keep it interesting. I thought a tent might be fun but will it take up too much valuable space? We don't store many toys here, just clothes, accessories, and a few bedtime books and stuffies.

We have an adult size chair from earlier nightime nursing. She doesn't use it now but she says she wants it. Replace with a kid size chair?

Please give me some new perspectives! Thanks!

Best mattress for stomach sleepers - firm recommendations that don't sleep warm?

I’m a strict stomach sleeper and I don’t switch positions. My current mattress is too soft which makes me wake up with a sore lower back. From what I’ve read, stomach sleeping needs a firmer feel. I also sleep hot so I need something that doesn’t trap heat. Looking for something supportive but not super hard, queen size and under $1500. Thanks!

What colour beeding/ bedding designs will suit this room

I’m about to move into a new studio flat and could do with some help choosing bedding.
I’m a man, so I’m after something modern and stylish rather than too girly. I’m open to any colours, patterns, or brands.

Help me decorate my rented bedroom! Looking for ideas.

Just moved into this rented room and I'll be staying here for a while.

I want to turn it into a cozy, aesthetic room, but I'm completely out of ideas.

I've attached photos of the current room. If this were your room, how would you decorate it?

Feel free to:

Edit the photos

Create an AI mockup

Draw over them

Or just comment your ideas

I'm looking for inspiration before I start buying stuff. Thanks! 🙌

Bedroom Makeover

It took me years to figure out what to do with the master bedroom. I didn’t know what I wanted. I knew I wanted a place to relax and forget about the day. I didn’t want to spend a fortune but something needed to change. Less than $500 and a few tweaks but it’s done. It’s amazing. Before and after of my little sanctuary. It’s not much but it makes me happy.
