Played a few rounds on lichess and got humbled

I am good around my friends and have managed to beat my dad a couple of times but im only 350 on chess.com. i made a lichess account and played a few games and it started me at 1500 and yeah i got humbled pretty quick, i put it down before i lost too much because i wanna try again at this higher skill level when im freshly slept and sober before it fully places me. I did manage to get one victory against a 1500 tho so im slightly proud of that (even tho it was scholars mate)

Why did white resign?

Hi All,

I am very much still a beginner and trying to get my head round things. Can anyone help explain why white resigned? Did they make a mistake?

I thought I was ahead using analysis online but their position isn’t totally hopeless? I frequently still struggle with the endgame, so my view is I still had time to mess it up. Thoughts?

Thanks!
