1301 Tactical Mag Tube Extension options?
My 1301 tactical currently has the nordic mxt extension, so 7+1. I'm hoping for a solution that allows me to switch to 8+1. I use this gun for some casual 2gun, 3gun matches and would rather be able to quad load 2x instead of 1x quad load plus partials. Appreciate the advice.
Round count conversion question (experienced input only please)
(**picture for attention**)
In terms of the mag tube extension, which is easier:
Converting a 1301 tactical (factory 7+1) to a 5rd mag tube by removing the extension.
OR
Converting a 1301 tactical C (factory 5+1 like pictured) to a 7rd mag tube by adding an extension?
If i were to need to transition from 5rd to 7rd, or 7rd to 5rd, which one is more convenient? I had assumed they were essentially the same, but have read otherwise.
Thanks in advance.
Picked a 1301 up in a trade and did some changes.
I like the green and black more. Need a light and maybe optic. Any recommendations?
First Beretta and it was free!!!
Wanted a 1301 for a while but I was still in save mode. Called a good friend (who happens to be well off and has a big heart!) and humbly asked if he would mind talking to his buddy, who owns a LGS, and asked him if he would be willing to help me out with a discount. My friend said, don’t worry about it, go get what you want, I’ll take care of it. I’m still in shock!!
1301 double feed? Bolt stuck forward
Hi all,
Disclaimer: I'm new to shotguns and new to the finer points of the armourer side of firearms, to so apologies in advance for any wrong terminology.
Literally just picked up a 1301 Mod 2 yesterday and handling it for the first time today, I loaded 2x snap caps after running through the actions about 10 times. First 3-4 times with the clear snap caps everything seemed fine, "spent" shells went across the room when I pulled the bolt back.
On attempt ~5 or so, it is now stuck with a "round" forward in the barrel and. another "round" directly beneath that one and the loader bar beneath the second "round" and the tube empty.
The under few shows the empty tube and the clear+red snap cap above the loader bar. Side few shows with my high-tech markup shows the position of the 2x snap caps (red) as well as the loader bar (blue) and the empty tube (green).
***The bolt will not move at all and neither will the loader bar. The bolt release button has no movement to it at all. It is essentially completely "frozen" as it is.***
The safety button will go on/off, but that does not change any bolt or other movement.
On instinct I took a small flathead screwdriver to see if I could wiggle the underside/second "round" a bit, but then stopped, put everything down, and walked away to consult the wisdom of the hive mind before contacting the local shop or Beretta.
I know I'm a noob....but any advice appreciated on how to:
- fix this immediate problem
- Make sure it does not happen again
Thank you
*speaking of manuals, mine did not come with one in the box and the QR code sends me only to Beretta pistols. Huh?
1301 comp pro vs a300 Ultima Competition?
Looking to buy a semi-automatic shotgun finally giving up my pump. I realistically only want one shotgun to do almost all things.
I was going to get the Mossberg 940 JM pro for around $850. Apparently it's not much more for A300 Ultima Comp at around $900. After tax and fees I'm over 1k so might as well get 1301 comp pro....
Very hard to find this gun at normal online retail it seems like unatanium. I heard some people can get one for around 1k but now its $1300+ Minimum or out of stock.
Is the price difference worth the 1301? I was satisfied with 940 Pro but everyone made it sound like it will never cycle and will be a regrettable purchase compared to any berretta. idk if its QC or keeping the gun lubed made me rethink my decision.
Honey Badger/Beretta 500 year Limited Edition knife
What do you guys think of this knife?
it’s a collaboration between Honey Badger in SA and Beretta. I think the Shotgun choke key at the back was a nice touch
Welcome to the Family, Beretta!
I picked up my first Beretta last week and I love it. Mods will be slow as my allowance isn’t much, but the good news is that I have an Imperium hand guard on the way (Thank you Beretta rebate for chipping in and thanks to my wife for letting me spend the rebate before getting it!).
So far I’ve only installed the LimbSaver butt pad on the factory stock, next will be the Imperium.
What should I save up for next? Note: I really like the look and feel of this 1301’s factory stock, so I don’t know if I’ll upgrade that.
Brownie points will be awarded to those who share their 1301’s, especially if you list out your mods.
Tactical Ordinance for USA Customers - Match Saver
Has anyone in the USA ordered parts from Tactical Ordinance based in Canada? I went to order the match saver tonight and the online orders seem to be limited to Canada residents.
Perhaps I need to give them a call to complete the order? Any tips or advice is appreciated.
Beretta a300 or 1301? $900 vs $1800?
Hi all,
Im sure this gets asked a lot: Beretta a300 patrol or 1301 mod 2? Both brand new. Im only asking since my local store has a a300 for $900 (instead of $1100) and locally i can only find the 1301 for $1800.
This is my first shotgun, and I've never shot either: neither of my local ranges have them as rentals. Ive shot pumps before, which are fine. I want a semi auto
I was hoping to get a nice, "buy it for life" quality shotgun. Mostly home defense but some clay/range shooting.
Is the 1301 twice as nice as the a300? Have you tried both? I can afford either, but its hard to ignore the price difference.
Thank you in advance for your input.
Good deal? Is this non-LE?
Hey guys, looking for a 1301. Is this a good deal? The SKU says it’s not LE but the description says fixed choke even though there’s another 1301 time with LE in SKU.
Mod 2 tactical question on light mounting
Hi,
I have a 1301 as my self defense weapon and I don’t do a ton of weapon modifications but I wanted a light. Went with stream light and the pressure switch. Mounted to mlok, do you see any issue with mounting the remote switch where I’m holding it here with their adhesive pad? Would you wrap something around the barrel to hold the wire closer?
Thank you,
Got the Magpul SGA on my new 1301
Have a SGA on my 590 and now the 1301 matches. For me, the grip puts my finger in a much better position to reach the trigger as well as feeling a bit better in the shoulder. I have a couple Kick-EZZ recoil pads coming...people seem to like them.
Install isn't bad. Having a vice is helpful. There are a couple solid videos on YouTube showing step by step.
Tools used: Phillips screwdriver, pliars, 7mm wrench, provided Allen wrench, 13mm deep socket with extension.
Aridus Industries shipped the combo out the 1st business day after I ordered it. Had it two days later. Buying the combo was a nice convenience and saved a few bucks.
I stole the surefire from the 590 since the 1301 is my new hotness. I do like the Viper on the 590 and leaning towards getting the Viper green multi reticle for the 1301.
The SGA comes with spacers to extend the length of pull if required. I'm a fan.

What distance to zero 1301 with red dot for home defence
Hey so I got a 1301t with a holosun 509t what distance should I zero for general home defence/range shooting, range I go to is a 25 yard indoor one
Right now it’s zeroed dead on at 10ish yards, it hits good closer as well it’s zeroed with flight control to have about a fist size hole at 10 yards and closer
I’m guess I’m wondering is this viable or should I zero it to a further distance and compensate at close range?
