Been curious since it opened. Stopped in the other day. Holy moly is it extraordinarily overpriced. Splashed out for $12 milkshake. (Declined whipped cream for an extra dollar. Lol.) I’d say it was mediocre at best. Independent of the price. What a grift that place is.

Paramount Construction is taking over Bethesda neighborhoods by storm. The houses have ZERO character and are all copy and paste. It's horrific seeing this happen, good god, these houses are UGLY.

Around 1:30/1:45 AM on Wisconsin Ave? Sounded like lightning hit an electrical box. Big flashes of light too. Woke me up! Followed shortly thereafter by sirens so hoping they’re on it.

I’m aware Bethesda is among the safest and wealthiest neighborhoods in Maryland, but I’ve had too many bad experiences with being targeted by harassment under broad daylight in places where people agree to be very safe even at night. I currently live in dt Silver Spring and am looking to move here because of this reason. I‘m not particularly concerned with violence and crime, but even running into encounters like ‘men saying stupid things’ - euphemism yes - triggers ptsd and it is very difficult for me to cope with.

Is it reasonable to assume that one doesn’t have to worry about this kind of things here? Or at least expect it to happen much more rarely? Thanks.

Hello! Does anyone have any recommendations for a good personal trainer who can train in an apartment gym in Downtown Bethesda? Looking for someone who can help with strength training and flexibility.

We just moved to the area and we can be members of these three pools. They are all equal distance from us. I am sure there’s a long wait list for them so maybe not this summer but wondering which is a good one for 5 yr old and a 2.5 yr old. They get cold easier, I saw one might be heated. But I’m not 100% sure. I’ve looked and looked and can’t find any insider info on any of them! So I appreciate it. Thank you

We are fairly new to the area and started at the local YMCA (BCC). So far I've not been impressed with the swim instructors. My kids have had almost 5 years of private instruction in the pool and are ready to be on a team. They are very comfortable in the water, just need to continue working on technique. I have NO idea where to start on swim teams, as they all seem club based that have a LONG WAITLIST. So what do I do? I'm completely clueless as I didn't grow up here and understand the dynamics of how this all works but I want to ensure my kids get the support they need. Any advice, help or direction you can point me in will be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I just found out I’m pregnant and am currently looking for an OB.

We have United Healthcare insurance, and I’m hoping to deliver at Shady Grove Hospital. We live in Bethesda, but are open to Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac, or nearby areas.

I’m still learning how all of this works, so I’m not sure if I need to find a doctor specifically affiliated with Shady Grove or if there are certain practices I should be looking into. Any recommendations, advice, or experiences would be so appreciated!

I’m returning to a neurological medication that is injected rather than oral, and I’m really not in the headspace right now to be able to do it myself. It has a form that can be administered in-office, but the provider has to be able/willing to do that. Is there anyone in the area who does this? I’m not looking for an IV infusion or anything like that.

Seeking orthopedic/sports med doctor for an obscure-ish foot issue in the NOVA/DC/MA area.

Looking specifically for doctors with experience with sesamoids, sesamoiditis, turf toe, 1st MTP issues, etc.

I have already obtained MRI and diagnosis - looking for knowledgeable doctor to help me navigate the diagnosis, access good PT, orthotics, etc.

Would also help to hear experiences with local or virtual PT for these issues or those familiar with rehab for climbers, dancers, etc, not general PT.

The manager and some staff are so racist! And it’s not the first time I’ve heard of this happening here. Turns out their management is pretty discriminatory. How is this place still open?

I've been looking at various taxis (and of course Uber/Lyft) trying to figure out what would be best to take for a pickup at 3 AM for a 5:55 AM flight at Dulles.

I've reserved an Uber for now, but I'm getting nervous that they might cancel last minute.
