Why does everyone want to be a coach?

I know a few women in my area who have competed 1-3 times and now market themselves as coaches. Is this truly enough experience to justify charging others for coaching? I'm not trying to be a hater, but I have noticed that EVERYONE wants to be a coach these days.

Is it seen as easy money or something? Why is this?

Hair and makeup providers

Has anyone used the HMU team Hot Spot HAIR & MAKEUP Team: Karenne Styles?

I’m competing at a show in Florida and they are the main provider but I haven’t heard much of them and none of the usual teams LeBou, Elaine, Stage Ready, Nancy etc are there.

I am deciding between either them or Team V (V is not at that show just her team so I wouldn’t know what artist I’d get). Could anyone please offer any advice or other recommendations?

Tingly hands and arms

I’m two weeks out and my hands and arms will randomly go tingly/numb. Has anyone else experienced this. Coach said they don’t know why.

Big Man Portugal Pro Livestream

There were times during fit model I felt like I was overhearing a conversation between two pervs. 😂 Ha! They just announced they were told to stay quiet.

On a separate note, looks like Faithlyn might have it. Does anyone know why Liz Contreras’ placing are…nit great? My heart is breaking for Marnie from Beyond the Stage.

Does competing on social media get you an “in” for becoming an influencer?

I see so many competitors who are now influencers, and start to sell their own coaching program.

Is this an “in”? If i compete should i be considering capitalizing on it and trying to monetize my socials? Obviously it would be more of a stretch to make this my full time job, but id love to consider doing this for fitness merch/supplements.

Just curious. I know if you get your pro card you’ll automatically get requests for brand partnerships, but what about just competing in general?

Competition tanning advice needed‼️

Hi everyone! I was hoping to get some advice about doing my own competition tan.
I’m planning on using the Pro Tan DIY kit, and I’m currently 6 weeks out from my show. Would you recommend doing a practice tan now, or should I wait until I’m closer to the competition? My main concern is making sure the color has enough time to completely fade before my competition tan.
Also, about the Pro Tan kit—how many full competition tans does one kit usually last? I’m trying to decide if I should buy just one or if I’ll probably need a second one while I’m there, and I’d rather be prepared.
I’d really appreciate any tips or advice from those of you who’ve done your own tan. Thank you so much! 🤍

Thoughts on this take …?

I was sort of offended by this NGL because I am planning on doing fit model in the Spring (have been working out for five years but didn’t put on that much muscle probably because I’ve been eating at maintenance) and I don’t know it’s sort of offensive to the amount of work fit models have put in.

I also think the competition is not about who has the most muscle, it’s about the whole package. Obviously it’s about having the right ratios, leaning out, having the right hair, tan, and makeup, etc.

Her evidence for fit model being a dead end division is that once you turn pro you can’t cross over into another division (didn’t know this, maybe someone else can confirm). She also says that the fit model standard asks for nearly no muscle but that’s what bikini was 10 years ago and no one criticized it then 🤷‍♀️

But I don’t know, as someone who was never an athlete and built my existing muscle from literally the ground up, I find the “what I looked like my first month in the gym” comment to be a little offensive.

how to get started with posing practice on your own?

i dont plan to compete for over a year, but i know getting some practice with posing is so so so important. i’m looking for resources/recommendations that helped people when they started, not looking for a coach at this point. also how to get over the anxiety of going into a posing room after just starting

Had someone ask me if I’m competing today at the gym

This has never happened before, I’m a few weeks into my bulk and that felt like such a high compliment haha.

Favorite Liver Support

I think im going to buy Happy Liver from ritual lab is supposedly European grade. Nothing wrong with my labs fasting glucose is still normal but over years trending upwards and A1c still normal but going up as well. So I just want to be more proactive with possible future insulin resistance(grandma had diabetes). While pancrease produces insulin ,the liver is main driver of how sugar is stored and such. I take milk thistle (amazon)amd NAC (amazon). Hit me up with your innovative ideas .I think im going to add berberine after big carb meals on high carb days to help as well.

Anticlimactic Pro Card Wins😢

The headline was probably deceiving😅, but am I the only one that wishes they would make a bigger deal and take just a little more time at these large nationals shows for when the pro card winners are announced!?

It is such a big moment in an athletes career, and it just gets blown past in the blink of an eye like any little regional show.

Give these athletes an extra 5 seconds to enjoy their moment.. 😕

Hyrox and bikini / fit model girls

Have any of you bikini or fit model girls taken a break and prepped for a hyrox competition? I currently am and I am so confused with how my body is reacting. I thought I naturally would be losing weight with the weight training on top of all the vigorous hyrox workouts/prep. Instead I actually have put on about 5lbs-7lbs. I don’t think I look bad but is this normal? My legs feel heavy and swollen most days but the stupid number in the scale going up stresses me out ( bad habits built probably from bikini body building).

Are these types of bikinis worth it?

I’m not really talking about the price because I found a discount through Checkmate for Beach Riot, so that part isn’t my concern. I’m more curious about the material and overall comfort. I’ve never owned a crochet style bikini like this before, and I can’t tell if it’s actually comfortable to wear or if it just looks really good in photos. Does the crochet fabric stretch weird when it gets wet? Does it stay comfortable for a full beach or pool day? Or is it just the design throwing me off because I’m used to more traditional swimwear?
