BINI Brings The Sarimanok To The World Stage | Novice Magazine PH

#NoviceSeen—Filipino creativity takes flight. 🐦‍🔥💫🇯🇵

For BINI’s (@bini_ph) historic stint at Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan, the Nation’s Girl Group made history as the first Filipino girl group to perform at the festival, bringing the Sarimanok to the global stage through vibrant looks by designer Cheetah Rivera (cheetsrivera), with visual direction and styling by Ica Villanueva (@icavillanueva). Makeup artists Anthea Bueno (@antheabueno) and Julius Cabanisas (@juliuscmua) together with hair stylist Cristine Benoman (cristinebenoman_hair), completed the look with colorful, graphic, and jewel-toned beauty details.

Inspired by the Sarimanok, the legendary bird and cultural icon of the Maranao people, the looks transform Filipino heritage into contemporary pop fashion—where culture becomes fashion, fashion becomes performance, and Filipino creativity travels with it.

Summer Sonic is one of Japan’s major international music festivals, bringing together artists from Japan and around the world across its Tokyo and Osaka editions. As part of the festival’s 2026 lineup, BINI performed in Osaka on August 14 and returned for the Tokyo edition on August 16, bringing their music and Filipino creativity to audiences in Japan. Fellow P-pop powerhouse SB19 also represented the Philippines at the festival. 🇵🇭✨
