Found this dude in stuck in one of those chicken wire fences people put around trees, yoinked, and promptly freed once I knew he was safe. Any ideas as to the age and species?
Fucking hard to track while they do this but managed to get this shot!
I'm somewhat new to bird photography. What are your takes on these shots?
Burrowing owl I photographed last September. Antelope Island state park Utah. I love watching these silly little owls!
My birding group has said red-shouldered hawk, broad-winged hawk, and possibly a hybrid. I was curious what this group will say. These two were soaring around the suburbs together, and occasionally the one that looks like a juvenile would “buzz” the other. There is a nearby greenbelt and creek. The first photo of each pair is unedited except for cropping. The second photo has been brightened. I have other pics if needed, but they are all of the birds soaring.
Spent the weekend on the Oregon coast and got really lucky. Set up the tripod on the beach and let the birds come to me.
She was eyeing me me off as she came in very very low, amazing to see
Another from yesterday’s sighting. It looks very determined and I love the color in its eye.
